    In my partial template, there is a varible named "resource", it may be a question or an answer. I want to build a link to edit it, but when I use it, I don't know what it is, so I can't write: <%=link_to 'edit', edit_question_url(resource)%> or <%=link_to 'edit', edit_answer_url(resource)%> I wonder if there is such a method, say "url_for_edit()", can be used as: <%=link_to 'edit', url_for_edit(resource)%> Is there such a method?

    i went to a prestigeous software conference (as dominant in its own field as MS in general), one main speaker is a professor of computer science who has been teaching Java for 20 years. During question session, he seems never heard of Groovy or Scala.... He is from a decent University in US... Is Groovy or Scala too new to attract academic attention or is this professor abnormal? thanks.

    Hi Folks, Afaik, you can change/manipulate browser settings in Mozilla/Netscape browsers. For Instance "netscape.security.PrivilegeManager.enablePrivilege('someprivilege');" Of course the user gets informed about that and needs to verify the action.     What is the most efficient way to clone a JavaScript object? I've seen: obj = eval(uneval(o)); but that's not cross platform (FF only). I've done (in Mootools 1.2) things like this: obj = JSON.decode(JSON.encode(o)); but question the efficiency. I've also seen recursive copying function, etc. I'm pretty surprised that out-of-the-box JavaScript doesn't have a method for doing this.
