  I am a noob at OBJ-C :) I am trying to add a UIImageView to a UIScrollView to display a large image in my iPad app. I have followed the tutorial here exactly: http://howtomakeiphoneapps.com/2009/12/how-to-use-uiscrollview-in-your-iphone-app/ The only difference is that in my App the View is in a seperate tab and I am using a different image. here is my code: - (void)viewDidLoad { [super viewDidLoad]; UIImageView *tempImageView = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"Cheyenne81"]]; self.imageView = tempImageView; [tempImageView release]; scrollView.contentSize = CGSizeMake(imageView.frame.size.width, imageView.frame.size.height); scrollView.maximumZoomScale = 4.0; scrollView.minimumZoomScale = 0.75; scrollView.clipsToBounds = YES; scrollView.delegate = self; [scrollView addSubview:imageView]; } - (UIView *)viewForZoomingInScrollView:(UIScrollView *)scrollView{ return imageView; } and: @interface UseScrollViewViewController : UIViewController<UIScrollViewDelegate>{ IBOutlet UIScrollView *scrollView; UIImageView *imageView; } @property (nonatomic, retain) UIScrollView *scrollView; @property (nonatomic, retain) UIImageView *imageView; @end I then create a UIScrollView in Interface Builder and link it to the scrollView outlet. Thats when I get the problem. When I run the program it crashes instantly. If I run it without linking the scrollView to the outlet, it will run (allbeit with a blnk screen).   I am fairly new to unit testing and am using VS2010 to develop in and run my tests. I have a simple test, illustrated below, that simply compares 2 System.Data.DataTableReader objects. I know that they are equal as they are both created using the same object types, the same input file and I have verified that the objects "look" the same. I realize I may be dealing with a couple of issues, one being whether or not this is the proper use of Assert.AreEqual or even the proper way to test this scenario, and the other being the main issue I am dealing with which is why this test fails with this exception: Failed 00:00:00.1000660 0 Assert.AreEqual failed. Expected:<System.Data.DataTableReader>. Actual:<System.Data.DataTableReader>. Here is the unit test code that is failing: public void EntriesTest() { AuditLog target = new AuditLog(); target.Init(); DataSet ds = new DataSet(); ds.ReadXml(TestContext.DataRow["AuditLogPath"].ToString()); DataTableReader expected = ds.Tables[0].CreateDataReader(); DataTableReader actual = target.Entries.Tables[0].CreateDataReader(); Assert.AreEqual<DataTableReader>(expected, actual); } Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  Getting an Exception in the BitmapFactory. Not sure what is the issue. I defined an XML layout w/ a default image. I try to load a bm on the SDCard (if present - it is). If not it shows the default image. Anyway..   I am trying to use a custom title to include an image button to the title bar. I got a lot of help form this post: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2569753/android-adding-button-to-the-title-of-the-app, but could not get it work for my ListActivity. In a nutshell, following is what I have: I hide the titlebar in the AndroidManifest.xml The specify a relative layout for the custom title (workorder_list_titlebar.xml) My Activity Class looks like the following: public class WorkOrderListActivity extends ListActivity { String[] orders={"WO-12022009", "WO-12302009", "WO-02122010", "02152010"}; @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); requestWindowFeature(Window.FEATURE_CUSTOM_TITLE); this.getWindow().setFeatureInt(Window.FEATURE_CUSTOM_TITLE, R.layout.workorder_list_titlebar); setContentView(R.layout.workorder_list); setListAdapter(new ArrayAdapter(this,R.layout.workorder_list, R.id.label,orders)); } } When I ran the app, I got AndroidRuntimeException: You cannot combine custom titles with other title features. Base on the stack trace, the exception was thrown by com.android.internal.policy.impl.PhoneWindow.requestFeature(PhoneWindow.java:183), that was triggered by setlistAdapter call. Does anyone have the same problem with ListActivity? Also once I manage to get this work, how do I attach listeners to the image button for it to do something? Thanks in advance.

I've seen it mentioned that I might need to configure a proxy but since the web service i'm calling is on port 80 this shouldn't matter should it? I can call the method with the browser. Any ideas?

I have read that would happen if serviceThrotling is set to defaults so I added following lines to my service configuration file <behavior name="ServiceBehavior"> <!-- ... --> <serviceThrottling maxConcurrentCalls="100" maxConcurrentSessions="100" maxConcurrentInstances="100" /> </behavior> But this doesn't help.   I'm getting a "timeout expired" exception thrown from a relatively heavily trafficked ASP.NET MVC 2 site I developed using StructureMap and Fluent NHibernate. I think that perhaps the connections aren't being disposed properly. What do you think may be causing this? Could it be my use of InstanceScope.Hybrid? • WCF fault logging and SQL Exception 4060 error.

  I have been attempting to compile/run a sample WCF application from Juval Lowy's website (author of Programming WCF Services & founder of IDesign) for several days. The example app utilizes Juval's ServiceModelEx library which logs faults/errors to a "WCFLogbook" SQL database. Unfortunately, when the sample app faults, I get the following error: SQL Exception 4060: "Cannot open database \"WCFLogbook\" requested by the login. The login failed.\r\nLogin failed for user 'Bill-PC\Bill'." I confirmed that the SQL WCFLogbook database has been created and have granted all of the appropriate permissions for my (Bill-PC\Bill) access to the database. Additionally port 8006 and port 1433 have been opened in the Firewall. TCP/IP has been enabled and "Allow remote connections to this server" has been checked. I am using the following endpoint within the App.Config file: <client> <endpoint name="LogbookTCP" address="net.tcp://Bill-PC:8006/LogbookManager" binding="netTcpBinding" contract="ILogbookManager" /> </client> Unfortunately SQL is a 'world' that I hadn't needed to venture into before now and I am terribly frustrated with my lack of success. Would anyone have any other suggestions on how to get this working? Have I missed anything?

  I have a wcf client/server application that I'm trying to get deployed at a client location. I believe it's a cross-domain issue, as we've deployed it successfully on the same computer. I'm currently using basichttpbinding and a custombinding that just uses Soap1.2: if (!useBasic) { CustomBinding binding = new CustomBinding(); TextMessageEncodingBindingElement encoding = new TextMessageEncodingBindingElement(MessageVersion.Soap12, System.Text.Encoding.UTF8); HttpTransportBindingElement transport = new HttpTransportBindingElement(); transport.MaxReceivedMessageSize = BindingConstants.MaxStringContentLength; binding.Elements.Add(encoding); binding.Elements.Add(transport); return binding; } else { BasicHttpBinding binding = new BasicHttpBinding(); binding.MaxReceivedMessageSize = BindingConstants.MaxStringContentLength; return binding; } However the client tells me that they get an error "SOAP security negotiation with 'XXXXXXXXXXXX' for target 'XXXXXXXXXXX' failed. See inner exception for details." Now I haven't gotten the inner exceptions yet, but everything I research online tells me that BasicHttpBinding should fix this, however they tell me they are using BasicHttpBinding. Is this error possible with BasicHttpBinding like how I have mine set up above? Also, when I check my BasicHttpBinding.Security.Message.ClientCredentialType, it says UserName. Does this even matter if my Security.Mode is "None"? Thanks.

  Hi, I have a block of XAML of which i'm trying to deserialize. For arguments sake lets say it looks like below. <NS:SomeObject> <NS:SomeObject.SomeProperty> <NS:SomeDifferentObject SomeOtherProp="a value"/> </NS:SomeObject.SomeProperty> </NS:SomeObject> Of which i deserialise using the following code. XamlReader.Load( File.OpenRead( @"c:\SomeFile.xaml")) I have 2 solutions, one i use Unit Testing, and another i have for my web application. When i'm using the unit testing solution, it deserializes fine and works as expected. However, when i try to deserialize using my other project i keep getting an exception like the following. 'NameSpace.SomeObject' value cannot be assigned to property 'SomeProperty' of object 'NameSpace.SomeObject'. Object of Type 'NameSpace.SomeObject' cannot be converted to type 'NameSpace.SomeObject'. It's as if it is getting confused or instantiating 2 different types of objects? Note, i do not have similarly named classes or any sort of namespace conflict. The same codes executes fine in one solution and not the other. The same project files are referenced in both. Please help!
