  • Excel - Reuse a trend line to apply to other data

    I've obtained a trend line from a particular set of data. What I'd like to do now is to reuse this trend line to predict values from a given pair (x,y) of coordinates. To put it another way, I have one pair (x,y) that I know is correct for sure. I don't know any other point. Let's assume the behavior of this new set is similar to the one I've got the trend line from. Is there any way Excel could compute other points following this trend line?

    I have a very large SVN repository (working copy of several gb) that has just reached its 20,000th checkin. As a bit of an interesting statistic for our team (and to partly celebrate our 20,000th checkin) I'd like to make a graph showing which folders in the repository have had the most checkins. Is there any way to do this? We mostly use integrated SVN clients in our IDE and Tortoise SVN, but I'm willing to get other tools for this one-off thing.

    Sometimes it can be for example 4500 requests, after a few hours it shows a few thousand less. What is wrong? It looks like analytics corrects itself. I changed from classic to Universal a few months ago, do not know if it has anything to do with this.     I have an animation of traffic. I have 20 cars in road network, each car have a starting node and end node. Each car know how much distance does it need to travel in order to reach the end node. I move cars each 20 ms for 10 px. To move all cars from their start node to end node I need 60 iterations. That is 60*20ms = 1200ms. Now I want to convert this time, or use data that I have, to a real time where car move 50km/h. How can I do that? Any idea?

Gnome3 offers the possibility to switch to (or start) an application by typing the app name. KDE allows this with krunner.     I am attempting to subtract two int arrays, stored as class members, using an overloaded - operator, but I'm getting some peculiar output when I run tests. The overload definition is Number& Number :: operator-(const Number& NumberObject) { for (int count = 0; count < NumberSize; count ++) { Value[count] -= NumberObject.Value[count]; } return *this; } Whenever I run tests on this, NumberObject.Value[count] always seems to be returning a zero value.     Ok right , i asked how to create a random number from 1-100 for android and i came to this TextView tv = new TextView(this); int random = (int)Math.ceil(Math.random()*101); tv.setText("Your Number Is..."+ random ); What this does is create the default kinda "hello world" style text view and says "Your Number Is.... [Then Random Number] My problem is that i cant change the layout of this text , because it is not defined in XML, if someone could tell me how to change the style , or like make the random number into a string so i could use it for any Textview layout that would be great ..     I'm using the following command to auto replace some code (adding a new code segment after an existing segment) %s/my_pattern/\0, \r some_other_text_i_want_to_insert/ The problem is that with the \r, some_other_text_i_want_to_insert gets inserted right after the new line: mycode( some_random_text my_pattern ) would become mycode( some_random_text my_pattern some_other_text_i_want_to_insert <--- this line is NOT indented ) instead of mycode( some_random_text my_pattern some_other_text_i_want_to_insert <--- this line is now indented ) i.e. the new inserted line is not indented. Is there any option in vim or trick that I can make the newly inserted line indented? Thanks.

    I'm curious if their is some python magic I may not know to accomplish a bit of frivolity given the line: csvData.append(','.join([line.split(":").strip() for x in L])) I'm attempting to split a line on :, trim whitespace around it, and join on , problem is, since the array is returned from line.split(":"), the for x in L #<== L doesn't exist! causes issues since I have no name for the array returned by line.split(":") So I'm curious if there is a sexy piece of syntax I could use to accomplish this in one shot?
