  • Why does a user have to enter "Profile" data to enter data into other tables?

    EDIT It appears the user has to enter some data for his profile, otherwise I get this error below. I guess if there is no profile data, the user can not continue to enter data in other tables by default? I do not want to make entering user profile data a requirement to use the rest of the sites functionality, how can I get around this? Currently I have been testing everything with the same user and everything has been working fine. However, when I created a new user for the very first time and tried to enter data into my custom table, I get the following error. The INSERT statement conflicted with the FOREIGN KEY constraint "FK_UserData_aspnet_Profile". The conflict occurred in database "C:\ISTATE\APP_DATA\ASPNETDB.MDF", table "dbo.aspnet_Profile", column 'UserId'. The statement has been terminated. Not sure why I am getting this error. I have the user controls set up in ASP.NET 3.5 however all I am using is my own table or at least that I am aware of. I have a custom UserData table that includes the columns: id, UserProfileID, CL, LL, SL, DateTime (id is the auto incremented int) The intent is that all users will add their data in this table and as I mentioned above it has been working fine for my original first user I created. However, when i created a new user I am getting this problem. But then what about def.cpp? Why I'm not getting err msg that function f(X) is already defined? Here shouldn't apply ODR rule. Second concern I'm having is that if in def.cpp I change the return type of f from int to double intelliSense underlines this as an error but program still compiles? Why?

  • Rails: radio button selection for nested forms objects

    I have the following form for photo_album which uses the nested forms feature of the Rails in saving the photos while updating the photo_album. And having trouble with the selection of radio button value. I want only one of the photos be able to select as the album cover, but due to the way rails produces form element ids and names, I am able to select all of the photos as album covers.     Hi guys, got a small problem, this code echo '<input name="textfield" type="text" id="textfield" value="Roger" />'; echo 'Hello, '.$_POST['textfield'].'<br>'; should echo out "Hello, Roger", as roger is the default value, yet it gives out only "Hello, " and nothing else. Using "TimeZoneInfo" I am getting all the timezones available from the system. But I am checking the timezone with the offset value, so from the list available I can only get the first timezone object. Is there any other ways to get a specific TimezoneInfo from the system.   • Disable Autocommit with Spring/Hibernate/C3P0/Atomikos ?

    I have a JPA/Hibernate application and am trying to get it to run against H2 and MySQL. Currently I am using Atomikos for transactions and C3P0 for connection pooling. Despite my best efforts I am still seeing this in the log file (and DAO integration tests are failing with org.hibernate.NonUniqueObjectException even though Spring Test should be rolling back the database after each test method): [20100613 23:06:34] DEBUG [main] SessionFactoryImpl.(242) | instantiating session factory with properties: .....edited for brevity.... hibernate.connection.autocommit=true, ....more stuff follows The connection URL to H2 has AUTOCOMMIT=OFF, but according to the H2 documentation: this will not work as expected when using a connection pool (the connection pool manager will re-enable autocommit when returning the connection to the pool, so autocommit will only be disabled the first time the connection is used So I figured (apparently correctly) that Hibernate is where I'll have to indicate I want autocommit off.   • Any ideas on a WCF Interceptor for a REST WebGet request to change the Url/Querystring parameters

Clicking the Flash container in Firefox will work Perfectly fine. You should get alert boxes in this order containing: span, div and body. Flash bubbles the event to the HTML. But this is not happening in IE. So why is Flash in IE not bubbling events to HTML? Edit: As mentioned by Andy E this behavior can also bee seen in Google Chrome which to my knowledge is not using ActiveX to embed the flash movie into the page.

    I am stuck on how to create tags for each post on my site. I am not sure how to add the tags into database. Currently... The postingtags shows the relation between posting and tags. When users type a posting, I insert the data into the "posting" table. It automatically inserts the posting_id for each post(posting_id is a primary key). $title = mysqli_real_escape_string($dbc, trim($_POST['title'])); $query4 = "INSERT INTO posting (title) VALUES ('$title')"; mysqli_query($dbc, $query4); HOWEVER, how do I insert the tags for each post? When users are filling out the form, there is a checkbox area for all the tags available and they check off whatever tags they want.     Hi, i'm creating a very simple (hello World quality) web application using spring mvc 3.0. when deploying the application on tomcat 6.0.26 and i try to open http://localhost:8080/protoweb/helloWorld.html i get 404, resource /protoweb/WEB-INF/jsp/helloWorld.jsp is not available.   • Problem using Hibernate-Search

    Hi, I am using hibernate search for my application. It is well configured and running perfectly till some time back, when it stopped working suddenly. The reason according to me being the number of my model (bean) classes. I have some 90 classes, which I add to my configuration, while building my Hibernate Configuration. When, I disable hibernate search (remove the search annotations and use Configuration instead of AnnotationsConfiguration), I try to start my application, it Works fine. But,the same app when I enable search, it just hangs up. I tried debugging and found the exact place where it hangs. After adding all the class to my AnnotationsConfiguration object, when I say cfg.buildSessionfactory(), It never comes out of that statement. (I have waited for hours!!!) Also when I decrease the number of my model classes (like say to half i.e. 50) it comes out of that statement and the application works fine.. Can Someone tell why is this happening?? My versions of hibernate are: hibernate-core-3.3.1.GA.jar hibernate-annotations-3.4.0.GA.jar hibernate-commons-annotations-3.1.0.GA.jar hibernate-search-3.1.0.GA.jar Also if need to avoid using AnnotationsConfiguration, I read that I need to configure the search event listeners explicitly.. can anyone list all the neccessary listeners and their respective classes?     Hi, I need to access radiobutton groupname in my jquery. However, groupname that's rendered for an asp radiobutton is kind of different. Example: <asp:RadioButton runat="server" GroupName="payment" ID="creditcard" Checked="true" value="creditcard" /> will generate: <input type="radio" checked="checked" value="creditcard" name="ctl00$ContentPlaceHolder1$payment" id="ctl00_ContentPlaceHolder1_creditcard"> I can't work with <%=creditcard.GroupName% in jquery. Is there a way I can get the generated groupname or name for it?
