• VS2010 - Font colors for numbers in SQL scripts

  OK, see the numbers? I can barely see them because my Visual Studio 2010 theme has the backround as almost-black, and the numbers show up in the default color, which is black. I can't figure out which setting changes the color for a number in a .sql file. Does anyone know?

  How can I scale a set of values to fit a new range if they include negative numbers? For example, I have a set of numbers (-10, -9, 1, 4, 10) which have to scaled to a range [0 1], such that -10 maps to 0, and 10 maps to 1. The regular method for an arbitrary number 'x' would be: (x - from_min) * (to_max - to_min) / (from_max - from_min) + to_min but this does not work for negative numbers. Any help is appreciated.   I got a new laptop recently, and have been having trouble with it dropping wifi since I got it, the card is Qualcomm Atheros ar9485wb-eg. I've updated to the latest available drivers, currently 10.0.0.263, and tried other suggestions on the lenovo website, including uninstalling the driver and letting it install again. One thing I've noticed is when I look at the troubleshooting log, it gives the device driver number as 10.0.0.209. Does this mean the update isn't applying properly? Any help appreciated, Thanks

  I would like to store album's track names in a single field in a database. The number of tracks are arbitrary for each album. Each album is one record in the table. Each track must be linked to a specific URL which also should be stored in the database somewhere. Is it possible to do this by storing them in a single field, or is a relational table for the track names/urls the only way to go?

  Is there any field/option/anything that I can put in a TCP packet (be it a syn or an ack or just plain data) that I can be sure will be returned by the other end intact? For eg. I want to "tag" a particular connection (src, srcport, dst, dstport) with a number that I can always read from a packet belonging to that connection. • I need to programmatically remove a batch of unique constraints that I don't know the names of.

  I maintain a product that is installed at multiple locations which as been haphazardly upgraded. Unique constraints were added to a number of tables, but I have no idea what the names are at any particular instance. What I do know is the table/columnname pair that has the unique constraints and I would like to write a script to delete any unique constraint on these column/table combinations. This is MSSQL 2000 and later. Something that works on 2000/2005/2008 would be best!

  I have a strange problem, I am trying to order the output of a set of records by a field called displayOrder. Now even though record A has a displayOrder of 2 and record B has a displayOrder of 1000, record B still shows up before record A. Here's my select statement: SELECT * FROM items ORDER BY displayOrder ASC It works fine until I have a record greater than 9, then 10, 11, 12, etc are seen as smaller than 2, 3, 4 because they start with the number 1. Any way to fox this?
