• Content border not showing in any browser!

  I have been working on a project for a few days now and have just recently noticed that the border of 2 of my content areas are not showing in Mozilla or IE. http://www.gamefriction.com/Coded/ is where the page is located. If you look at the main content area where the "news" is you will see that there is a 1px solid border that is a slightly darker grey than the 4px border surrounding each content box. On the right column content the 1px solid #dfdfdf; border does not show. I can't seem to find any reason why this is not showing. Any ideas?

• hide XML element from appearing in browser

  HI, I have a website which I am setting up. However, I want the first page (Home) not to have any sub menu. When I change the value of true to false all the other pages where I want the drop down to appear also disappear. I want other pages to have sub menu but not the home page. I have tried to change the xml path etc, but nothing seems to work. Can somebody please advise on this. I am new to xml and finding this very challenging. I have uploaded the config.xml and the layout xml's. • XSLT ... I can'f find a (working) find minimum value in XML and set variable

  I've search for hours and not found an example that allows for the very first position to be the lowest. I'm getting 'False' instead of the value returned .... EDIT: Oddly enough if I run a 2nd instance as MAX_Landed with ascending it returns a value just fine. If I switch the order in the XSLT the first instance will return 'False' and the 2nd will work. Hope I'm making sense .....   http://www.pro-marketing-invest.de/golz-racing/reservierungen I made a wp plugin which makes online reservations for rent a car but I tested it locally with a different wp theme and it worked fine! but when I installed it in this web site for some reason the jquery functions dont work! when I press the fortsetzen button it wont open the other step (its a form with 4 steps). I think it is because of the other jquery functions or libraries that the theme uses, I am frustrated I dont know what is causing this! Any ideas?

  Hi Guys, I'm trying to setup a GPRS connection with ConnMgrEstablishConnectionSync(), so far so good, the connection is established and if I try to connect to an IP address, everything works fine. Alas, when I try to resolve a name: ConnMgrEstablishConnectionSync(); ... gethostbyname("www.google.com"); The result is always an error: 0x00002af9 (host not found). Therefor I'm not able to resolve any name, but if I try to open a browser, the browser is able to resolve everything. Am I doing something wrong? Thanx for your help.

• Yet another URL prefix regex question (to be used in C#).

  Hi, I have seen many regular expressions for Url validation. In my case I want the Url to be simpler, so the regex should be tighter: Valid Url prefixes look like: http[s]://[www.]addressOrIp[.something]/PageName.aspx[?] This describe a prefix. I will be appending ?x=a&y=b&z=c later. I just want to check if the web page is live before accessing it, but even before that I want to make sure that it is properly configured. I want to treat bad url and host is down conditions differently, although when in doubt, I'd rather give a host is down message, because that is an ultimate test anyway. Hopefully that makes sense. I guess what I am trying to say - the regex does not need be too aggressive, I just want it to cover say 95% of the cases. This is C# - centric, so Perl regex extensions are not helpful to me; let's stick to the lowest common denominator. Thanks!

MySQL = 5.x support multiple statements, but unfortunately we are interfacing with MySQL 4.x. I am trying to find a way (hint: regex) to split SQL statements by their semicolon, but it should ignore semicolons in single and double quotes strings. http://www.dev-explorer.com/articles/multiple-mysql-queries has a very nice regex to do that, but doesn't support double quotes. I'd be happy to hear your suggestions.

• Scraping with multiple IP, in java.

  Well basically I have a scraping application. It scrapes around n items per minute. currently i have only one IP. The site i'm scraping allows me 3 connections per IP. I'm thinking about getting another IP. so i'll be able to get 6 connections. in theory i should be able to get n items in 40 seconds, more or less. currently i'm using java (commons-httpcore) to get the job done. I'm not sure if this is java question or an OS question. my machine has IP 1 and IP 2 how do i connect to, say, www.microsoft.com, using IP 1 and using IP2? how can i specify, which ip i want to use to do a connection?

  Hi all- I am working on a site that has the potential to need a LOT of space. Basically we hope to have every video game every created stored in a database along with an image of the cover. There are some api's out there that might be able to help, like GiantBomb's (www.giantbomb.com). We are trying to decide whether to store the data locally and if so where to find that comprehensive a list, or make calls to the api on demand. The problem with the latter is likely latency and also downtime problems. Assuming we want to store it locally here are the questions: 1) Where can we find this kind of data (yes, I looked on google, and no I couldnt find anything:)) 2) What is the most efficient way to encode and store the images? • How to reset persistent scrollbar position after div refresh in FF3?

  Hi, I'm experiencing a weird scrollbar issue. I'm building a page that uses jQuery and PHP to dynamically load images into a DIV sequentially. This DIV is a fixed height but uses a scrollbar for its variable width. The problem is that the scrollbar does not reset after a dynamic refresh of the DIV. So when the user scrolls and then refreshes with new content, the scroll bar position stays persistent instead of resetting back to the left. This seems to only happen in FF3. The scrollbar resets perfectly fine in Chrome, Safari, and IE8. For each refresh, the DIV is hidden, emptied, sized with CSS, then sequentially appended with images. I've tried resetting white-space: normal before the nowrap, playing around with overflow, and also jQuery's scrollLeft to no avail. It still behaves strangely in FF3, and only FF3. http://www.shadowshapes.com/uttdev/ Click a thumbnail, move the scrollbar then click another thumb. Thanks for any help!

  I did a lot of searching for what I thought would be a pretty common question, but I came up with nothing. If there is another thread with a similar topic, please let me know. Basically, I'm looking for a way to have an .mp3 file play in a website without relying on a flash-based player. I've searched w3 schools and every forum I can think of, but every media player I've found so far has been some sort of proprietary flash player. Doesn't HTML support some sort of native player? I've found some that rely on Windows Media Player which is close, but I want the player to work on an iPhone and something tells me WMP won't get that done... PS, as I'm thinking more about this this idea just popped into my head: a javascipt player and inside the <noscript> tag, put a flash player? To load the page controller, I have added a condition in routes as below $route[':any'] = "page"; But what it is doing now is, when I try to open admin_panel, it loads the page controller. • Iframe contents not accessible from a page in different domain

  Need some help from javascript gurus. I have one page where http://www.google.com/finance/converter is embedded inside IFrame. I am able to get the event notification whenever Google Finance page loads. Now problem is this that contents of this page is not accessible through javascript.
