  • ASP MVC Routing

    Hi, now this is probably an stupid question but i'm new to mvc and can't seem to get it working. Here is what i would like to be able to do with the urls/routes: 1) www.domain.com/name/home/index 2) www.domain.com/home/index where both the home controllers are seperate controllers and the name part will very but all must go to the same controller and the name should be an param for all the actions in there.   • Pound symbol not displaying on web page

    Hello I have a mysql database table to store country name and currency symbol - the CHARSET has correctly set to UTF8. This is example data inserted into the table insert into country ( country_name, currency_name, currency_code, currency_symbol) values ('UK','Pounds','GBP','£'); When I look in the database - the pound symbol appears fine - but when I retrieve it from the database and display it on the website - a weird square symbol shows up with a question mark inside instead of the pound symbol.     I have an initialization script to set up my MongoDB connection in the config/initialization directory. It is my understanding that these initializers run after all of the plugins are initialized. The problem I am having is that when a particular plugin I am using is initialized, it tries to access the mongodb before I have set it up. I get this error: uninitialized class variable @@database_name in MongoMapper My question is: Where can I initialize Mongodb that will run after the mongodb gem has been loaded and before any of the plugins are initialized?
