  • How to sleep computer via batch file?

The closest thing I have found is placing it in standby, but seems to work differently then the sleep button on my keyboard (longer bootup, doesn't wake on mouse click). Any ideas?     I have the following abstract Django models: class Food(models.Model): name = models.CharField(max_length=100) class Meta: abstract = True In one of my view, I created a bunch of Food model: panino = Food(name='Panino') poutine = Food(name='Poutine') food = [panino, poutine] From the above, I'm not saving the model and storing the Food model in a regular Python list. I want to store the above food models in a QuerySet object. How can I do that without storing any data to the database?

  • Drawbacks of using an integer as a bitfield?

    I have a bunch of boolean options for things like "accepted payment types" which can include things like cash, credit card, cheque, paypal, etc. Rather than having a half dozen booleans in my DB, I can just use an integer and assign each payment method an integer, like so PAYMENT_METHODS = ( (1<<0, 'Cash'), (1<<1, 'Credit Card'), (1<<2, 'Cheque'), (1<<3, 'Other'), ) and then query the specific bit in python to retrieve the flag. I know this means the database can't index by specific flags, but are there any other drawbacks?

    From today, when I tried to run an app in NetBeans on a 2.3.3 Android platform, it shows me that: Failed to allocate memory: 8 This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information. and the Emulator doesn't want to start. This is for the first time when I see it, and google has no asnwers for this, I tried even with 2 versions of NetBeans 6.9.1 and 7.0.1, still the same error.

In the table row I would like a secondary mysql merge block based on the id column that the primary (items) mysql table has. But when I try to visit that project through apache, it fails.     We have a strange problem in our team. When a developer is using Eclipse in Debug mode, MS SQL Server 2005 blocks other developers from accessing a stored procedure. Debug session typically involves opening Hibernate session to persist an entity which could be accessing a stored procedure used for Primary key generation. Debugging is done in business logic code and rarely in JDBC stored procedure call. Is there any way to configure MS SQL server or the stored procedure so that other developers are not blocked?

    I am using the python app engine and finding that the log console on the local development server is terribly slow. Output to this window seems to show in chunks of about 5-15 lines every second. Is that typical? I find that it's so slow that it hinders my debugging time waiting for log data to appear.
