    I have quite a number of user controls that I need to embed in Umbraco macros. Each user control has quite a bit of in page javascript that needs loaded into the page. I have been building up the javascript with StringBuilder.Appendline then registering a startup script with code behind but this stinks and I feel there has to be a better way of going about this. In that case, the next time I call the function, the exec() call starts where it left off, even though I am supplying it with a new value of 'text'. I can fix it by writing var pattern = new RegExp('.....'); instead, but I don't understand why the first version is failing. How is the regular expression persisting between function calls? (This is happening in the latest versions of Firefox and Chrome.)     I was wondering if anyone has come up with an ASP.net server tag for the HTML5 canvas? I was thinking of something where I could declaritively define paths, curves; etc in the aspx markup, and the control would deliver the js to do this (perhaps with support for browser detection, and delivery of an emulation script for IE browsers.) Maybe a good idea for a Codeplex project for me to start up?

  • mysql_connect "bool $new_link = true" is very slow

    Hi, I'm using latest version of Xampp on 64bit Win7. The problem is that, when I use mysql_connect with "bool $new_link" set to true like so: mysql_connect('localhost', 'root', 'my_password', TRUE); script execution time increases dramatically (about 0,5 seconds per connection, and when I have 4 diffirent objects using different connections, it takes ~2 seconds). Is setting "bool $new_link" to true, generally a bad idea or could it just be some problem with my software configuration. Thank you.

    In SublimeText(2), when you press [ctrl + shift + p] (mac osx) you are shown a scope of where your caret/cursor is in the source code at the given moment e.g.: entity.name.tag.inline.any.html meta.tag.inline.any.html text.html.basic I am curious about what library or script is used to parse the document/file and create that scope string. A sidenote: Typing view.syntax_name(view.sel()[0].b) into Sublime's console will output the scope as well.

  • SQL 2005 - any way to restore/copy a diagram?

    I used the Redgate packager (ran MSI) to reset all the data in my database (i.e. I deleted everything, and let it build the new database). Unfortunately, I discovered that it didn't retain my diagrams, which has a nice arrangement and several annotations. Is there any way to copy/migrate/script the diagram from one database to another (the databases have identical structures). Thanks, Neal Walters

    NSIS has a Name variable that you define in the script: Name "MyApp" It defines the name of the installer, that gets displayed as the window title, etc. Is there a way to pull the .NET Version number out of my main EXE and append it to the Name? So that my installer name would automatically be 'MyApp V2.2.0.0" or whatever?
