  The “Lessons Learned” blog has an update covering the error message "The protocol 'net.msmq' is not supported." "The protocol 'net.msmq' is not supported." OMG, a new lesson! Will wonders never cease? So I ran into an interesting issue setting up a WCF service to consume an MSMQ queue. I won't bother you with the details of how to actually build a WCF/MSMQ service; there are plenty of tutorials on the subject. I want to share with you an interesting error that I ran into and the surprisingly simple fix. The error occurs when attempting to generate a Service Reference or even simply browsing to the WSDL of your WCF/MSMQ service in the form of a YSOD with the following error: "The protocol 'net.msmq' is not supported." After a lot of Googling on the subject turning up plenty of questions with the same error but no answers. So I went digging into some application level config files on a server that already had a WCF/MSMQ service successfully set up by the network admin, and the answer was amazingly simple: If you are hosting an MSMQ/WCF service in IIS, you have to tell IIS to allow net.msmq protocol. It's in the advanced settings for the application or site in which you are hosting the service. .... aaaand, that's it.

  I am an absolute newB on sendmail, now I installed sendmail, configured it (as far as i know) added localhost-names, added access entries added virtuser entry, opened port 25 in iptables. Now when I connect from another location on the internet, and use telnet server.com 25 and use manual SMTP commands (HELO, MAIL From etc) the mail goes and arrives and gets put to the right user. but When I use another client and it's relayed by (for example google) I get this error back: Relaying denied. Proper authentication required. (state 14). What setting did I forget? Any config files I need to post so you can help me? I use CentOS 5.5 and the latest sendmail rpm

• Why does Ubuntu 12.04 dual boot fail?

  Fresh install of XP followed by a fresh install of Ubuntu 12.04 results in the following error: error: unknown filesystem. grub rescue and the machine will not boot. Prior to the 12.04 install, XP worked fine. During the 12.04 install, all partitions and free space was visible, and the install seemed to complete without issues until the error message. Although I can fix the MBR via recovery console in XP and allow the machine to boot to windows, why is GRUB/Ubuntu trashing the boot sequence?

  In my previous post, I introduced my problem, but I didn’t explain the problem with Entity Framework When you try the solution indicated you will take the following error: LINQ to Entities don’t recognize the method 'System.String Join(System.String, System.Collections.Generic.IEnumerable`1[System.String])’ of the method, and this method can’t be translated into a stored expression. • Save and Run Programs From USB

  At the moment I am running Ubuntu 12.10 from a USB memory stick, and I wondered whether it would be possible to save and run any programs I have downloaded from another USB stick instead of the one with the operating system on. I'd like to be able to set the download location in Ubuntu Software Center to the second memory drive, but i don't know how to do this. I can keep the operating system on the one USB and the programs on the other USB, which makes everything much more easier. Any ideas?

  I have a Maxtor OneTouch External Harddisk 160gb that i purchased recently. At first my Ubuntu 10.10 could not mount it. I opened disk utility which recognized it but with no filesystem. I proceeded to try formatting it but this error popped up Blockquote Error creating partition table: helper exited with exit code 1: Error calling fsync(2) on /dev/sdb: Input/output error Blockquote I resorted to Gparted. Things turned worse; it wasn't even listed in the list of devices. Does anyone have a solution to this problem? Any help is appreciated.

  I've installed ELMAH 1.1 .Net 3.5 x64 in my ASP.NET project and now I'm getting this error (whenever I try to see any page): Could not load file or assembly 'System.Data.SQLite, Version=1.0.61.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=db937bc2d44ff139' or one of its dependencies. An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format. Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code. Exception Details: System.BadImageFormatException: Could not load file or assembly 'System.Data.SQLite, Version=1.0.61.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=db937bc2d44ff139' or one of its dependencies. An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format. More error details at the bottom. My Active Solution platform is "Any CPU" and I'm running on a x64 Windows 7 on an x64, of course, processor. The reason why we are using this version of ELMAH is because 1.0 .Net 3.5 (x86, which is the only platform for which it's compiled) gave us this same error on our x64 Windows server. I've tried compiling for x86 and x64 and I get the same error. I've tried removing the all compiler output (bin and obj). Currently, I have a server that should, when sent a sentence, respond with only the first word.   I'm developing a JSF 2.0 application on Glassfish v3 and i'm trying to handle the ViewExpiredException. But whatever i do, i always get a Glassfish error report instead of my own error page. To simulate the occurrence of the VEE, i inserted the following function into my backing bean, which fires the VEE. I'm triggering this function from my JSF page through a commandLink.   Hello, I'm writing an open source 2D game engine, and I want to support as many devices and platforms as possible. I currently only have Windows Mobile though. I'm rendering using DirectX Mobile, with DirectDraw as a fallback path. However, I've run into a bit of trouble. It seems that while the reference driver supports createRenderTarget, many many many physical devices do not. I need some way to render to the screen without using a render target, because I render sprites using textured quads, but I also need to be able to draw individual pixels.   I have downloaded a Xen virtual machine image from the appscale project, and I am trying to start it up. However once I run the command; xm create -c -f xen.conf The instance immediately crashes and provides no console output. however it produces logs that I have posted below. but this is the error; [2011-03-01 12:34:03 xend.XendDomainInfo 3580] WARNING (XendDomainInfo:1178) Domain has crashed: name=appscale-1.4b id=10. I have managed to mount the root.img file locally and verify that it is actually an ext3 file system. I am running Xen 3.0.3 that is a stock RPM from the CentOS 5 repos; # rpm -qa | grep -i xen xen-libs-3.0.3-105.el5_5.5 xen-3.0.3-105.el5_5.5 xen-libs-3.0.3-105.el5_5.5 kernel-xen-2.6.18-194.32.1.el5 any suggestions on how to proceed with troubleshooting? Solved The simple solution to my complicated problem was that I had placed the config.ru in wrong place moved it to /etc/puppet/rack , it was in /etc/puppet/rack/public Well!!! :-/

• Core Data managed object context thread synchronisation

  I'm have an issue where i'm updating a many-to-many relationship in a background thread, which works fine in that threa, but when I send the object back to the main thread the changes do not show. If I close the app and reopen the data is saved fine and the changes show on the main thread. Also using [context lock] instead of a different managed object context works fine. I have tried NSManagedObjectContext: - (BOOL)save:(NSError **)error; - (void)refreshObject:(NSManagedObject *)object mergeChanges:(BOOL)flag; at different stages throughout the process but it doesn't seem to help.   Hi, I'm just wondering if anybody can help me with my simple but frustrating problem. I have created an SWF that loads an XML file from http://localhost/flash/Projects/MEL/Quiz/Quiz/bin/xml/quiz.xml, but I get this error when running the movie using Test Movie in the Flash IDE. Error #2044: Unhandled ioError:. text=Error #2032: Stream Error. I have tried a adding wildcard crossdomain.xml file in my root web directory and setting the SWF publish properties for local playback security to Allow network only, but neither of these have solved my problem. I know Windows 7 handles localhost name resolution differently compared to previous versions of Windows but I have even added 127.0.0.1 localhost to my hosts file to no avail. Can anyone shed any light on this issue?
