  • .net bitmap file type limitations

    Hi, Given the line: Bitmap bitmap = new Bitmap(stream); where stream is a System.IO.Stream, are there any limitations on the image file type e.g png, jpg, gif etc that can be handled. i.e are all image file/stream header info clear enough to say "I am an image". I haven't run into any yet, but have only being using the pretty standard ones so far. Thanks

  • classic asp & .net 2 site not working on windows 7

    I am receiving the following error message: An error occurred on the server when processing the URL. Please contact the system administrator. If you are the system administrator please click here to find out more about this error. I have my site in the inetpub directory in a subfolder called website. I have also gone to add/remove windows compononents and had asp installed. In iss manager I have asp listed with defult settings. The initial website page is a classic asp page Has anyone else encountered this issue? Please help! I'm having to develop through vpn/remote desktop combo which is painfully slow!! thanks so much for anyone who can help!

    I've just inherited an app that utilizes usercontrols in a couple ways which I'm not too familiar with. The problem I have right now is that when I attempt to publish this code base, I get a few errors which boil down to where some referenced usercontrols are not defined. Here's an example of one line: Private clientControl As New ASP.usercontrols_clientcontrol_ascx This is a tab strip usercontrol which references other usercontrols to dynamically create the tabs. Now, on the surface I get what is going on here...but the compiler is not accepting this. This tab strip usercontrol is in the root of the project, and the other usercontrols are in a sub folder. error BC30002: Type 'ASP.usercontrols_clientcontrol_ascx' is not defined. I'm sure this is 101 stuff here, but the build works and the publish fails. Any direction would be appreciated.

I'm developing NerdDinner from scratch and now I came to point where I define DinnerViewModel.     Anyone try this simple bit of code in an ie8 browswer and try refreshing the page, in ie8 you will get an error around getelementbyid on refresh.     I tried posting on their boards (authors of this library), however it literally takes months for them to reply when it comes to the free software (can't blame them). But anyways I have found that this library is behaving weirdly - for instance, a major problem with my application is when someone is trying to sign in (through FTP), they provide a correct login and mistype the password, no reply is received from FTP server. I tried doing the same from command window just to verify that it's not the FTP server's fault; and FTP commands were received instantaneously. It almost looks as though this library eats the commands. The same actions often times will yield different results. Can anyone recommend a stable, reliable library to use with Compact framework? Or shed some light on this issue...?

    Hello all, My question is quite simple, I created a DIV, with a HyperLink control in it. As following: I created an 'onclick' event in jQuery for the DIV as well: $('#divOne').click(function() { alert('You clicked on the DIV element'); }); My goal is to trigger this event when the DIV area is clicked (working fine), BUT- When the HyperLink is clicked, I need the page to redirect WITHOUT triggering the DIV 'onclick' event (can use JavaScript or jQuery as needed).     I've created an Area named "Admin". I've created also a controller(Pages) and a view(List) in this areas. When I run my app and enter the url "/Admin/Pages/List" I'm getting an The resource cannot be found error. When I enter /Pages/List, the Action method is hit but the view is not found,because the app is searching in wrong directories ~/Views/Pages/List.aspx ~/Views/Pages/List.ascx ~/Views/Shared/List.aspx ~/Views/Shared/List.ascx the view is in /Admin/Pages/List.   • Dynamically adding UserControl to list in ASP.NET

    I have UserControl, which is used for editing fields of some object. I had a page with this control, where user filled the fields, pressed "Submit" and object inserted in DB. And everything was Ok. But now user wants to insert several objects by one submit. So I need to implement dynamic adding of this control. What is the simpliest way to do it? The only way I see is to specify "+" button and to create control in its OnClick handler. But it is very dull. I think it is very common issue and there are better variants.

    Hello there, so here is my problem: I have several different configuarion servers. I have different calculations (jobs), I can predict how long approx. each job will take to be caclulated. Also I have priorities. My question is how to keep all machines loaded 99-100% and shedule the jobs in the best way. Each machine can do several calculations at the time. Jobs are pushed to the machine. Central machine knows current load of each machine. Also I would like to to assign some king of machine learning here, because I will know statistics of each job (started, finished, cpu load etc.). How to distribute jobs(calculations) in the best possible way, also keep in mind priority. Any suggestions ? Ideas ? Algorithms ?

    I want to read the binary contents of a .lnk file. As long as the target of the shortcut (lnk file) exists this works fine with IO.File.ReadAllBytes(string file). BUT If the target of the shortcut does not exist (believe me I want this) the method only returns zero's. I guess this is because the OS follows the link and if it does not exist it returns zero's Is there some way to bypass the fact that the framework follows the target of the .lnk before displaying the contents of the .lnk file?

    I have two tables Customer and CustomerPhone. Customer usually has multiple phone numbers, so when i run select statement on customer 101, i will get multiple records due to the multiple phone numbers. As you see below all the "Phone" and "Fax" field belongs to CustomerPhone table. These are considered as two records in the CustomerPhone table whereas the rest of fields relate to Customer table which is a single record. What should i do to fill Phone and Fax field in this case? Should i run select statement on CustomerPhone first and then run select statement on Customer?

Are there any projects for posting to StatusNet? Given that StatusNet implements an API very similar to Twitter, I could probably modify/extend Twitterizer to do just that. However, I'd like to avoid reinventing the wheel if at all possible if something exists already.
