  • Return number of matches from c# dictionary

    Hello! I have a dictionary with non unique values and I want to count the matches of a string versus the values. Basically I now do dict.ContainsValue(a) to get a bool telling me if the string a exists in dict, but I want to know not only if it exists but how many times it exists (and maybee even get a list of the keys it exists bound to) Is there a way to do this using dictionary, or should I look for a different collection? /Rickard Haake

    Hi, I'm programming an application(client/server) in C++ for linux using epoll y pthreads but I don't know how to handle the connect() calls for attach a new connection in the descriptor list if a loop with epoll_wait() is running(Edge-triggered), How to can I do it?... I could to use a dummy file descriptor to trigger an event and scape of wait?, or a simple call to connect() could fire the event??... Sorry for my bad english...

  • Search Complexity of a Hashtable within a Hashtable?

    Say we have a hashtable of size m, and at each bucket we store a hashtable of size p. What would the worst case/average case search complexity be? I am inclined to say that since computing a hash function is still atomic, the only worst case scenario is if the value is at the end of the linked list in the hashtable of size p, so O(n)? I have no idea how to calculate the average case for this scenario and would appreciate any pointers!

  • CellTable + AsyncListViewAdapter<T> + SimplePager<T>, stuck with 'loading' bar when paging

    Hi I'm trying to make CellTable, AsyncListViewAdapter<T> and SimplePager<T> working together. I managed to display my data, but whenever I click either "go to start" or "go to end" button I get that 'loading' indicator which stays there till the end of days. (And AsyncListViewAdapter<T>.onRangeChanged doesn't even get called this time.) I went through the code-snippets in this thread, but I can't see nothing suspicions in what I've been doing. Is there some obvious answer to a rookie mistake?   • Why does not Asp.net mvc application work on Asp.Net Classic Application Pool?

    I have an Asp.Net MVC 2 web application deployed on IIS 7.5 on .Net 4.0. When I select application pool as Asp.Net v4.0 Classic I get the following error. HTTP Error 403.14 - Forbidden The Web server is configured to not list the contents of this directory. The same application works fine when I select application pool as Asp.Net v4.0 Integrated. Does anyone know what is the reason for this?

  • Spring transaction demarcation causes new Hibernate session despite use of OSIV

    I'm using Hibernate with OpenSessionInViewInterceptor so that a single Hibernate session will be used for the entire HTTP request (or so I wish).   • Quicksilver quit launching Xcode

    Hi everyone, I've been launching Xcode from Quicksilver quite happily for weeks. Suddenly late yesterday, without changing either Xcode or Quicksilver, it started appearing like this: Screenshot There's no "open" option in the action list anymore. I rebooted with no joy. All my other applications launch. Xcode still launches from Spotlight. It just seems to be any app under /Developer/Applications. Any suggestions? cheers,Step

I need to create Transactions to change some data but i want them to be hidden from the user, that means, to not show in the UNDO list in VS2005. store.UndoManager.UndoState = UndoState.Disabled; this solved the problem but is documented has obsolete and no alternative is given nor could i found any until now, any1 knows a non obsolete way to do this.   • using checkbox yo update MySql table

    Hi All I have been searching round the internet for days on this matter but I keep coming up against a brick wall. What I have is a table full of checkboxes inside an admin area acting as a monthly "to-do" list. It's essentially a worksheet of 30 or so things to do each month that must be checked off each month and notes added if applicable. I have managed to get the checkboxes to update via mysql and be shown somewhere as a list of ticks. I simply did this my setting the value to 1 and on submission it updates the sql table. I have to cover my bases here and also offer the option to un-tick items if they have been ticked b y mistake. But I cant figure out how this is done.     I have a ComboBox with a DataTemplate. The DataTemplate has two controls, each of which has a ToolTip attached to it. The list of items of the ComboBox has the tooltips as expected when you hover over each control. But the selected item area on top of the ComboBox does not display the tooltips, though the controls are rendered as expected. Is there a way to force the tooltips to be displayed?
