  In a C#.NET windows application I set the visibility of the checkbox to false: checkBoxLaunch.Visible = true; I started a thread. Thread th = new Thread(new ThreadStart(PerformAction)); th.IsBackground = true; th.Start(); The thread performs some stuff and sets the visibility to true private void PerformAction() { /* . .// some actions. */ checkBoxLaunch.Visible = true; } But after the thread finishes it's task, the check box is not visible to me.. :( What am I missing??

  I have a problem calling this function from a c++ DLL in c# INT32 WINAPI PM_COM_GetText(INT32 TextId, char* pBuf, INT32 BufSize); It writes a Text in a buffer for a given text id. • JPA entitymanager remove operation is not performant

  When I try to do an entityManager.remove(instance) the underlying JPA provider issues a separate delete operation on each of the GroupUser entity. I feel this is not right from a performance perspective, since if a Group has 1000 users there will be 1001 calls issued to delete the entire group and itr groupuser entity.   I'm having a hard time binding a simple static string property to a text box.   I'm developing blog speaker app. I wanna pause the audio when bluetooth is disabled like iPod app. I thought it's not possible without using private api after reading this. Check if Bluetooth is Enabled? But, my customer told me that Rhapsody and DI Radio apps both support it. Then I found iOS5 has Core Bluetooth framework. https://developer.apple.com/library/ios/documentation/CoreBluetooth/Reference/CoreBluetooth_Framework/CoreBluetooth_Framework.pdf CBCentralManagerStatePoweredOff status seems like the one. But, the description says this api only supports Bluetooth 4.0 low energy devices. Did anyone try doing the same thing? I want to support current popular bluetooth headsets, or bluetooth enabled steering wheel on the car. I don't know if it's worth trying when it only supports some brand new bluetooth.

• Is Eclipse Remote System Explorer broken on Windows?

  I have the following setup on Windows 7 Ultimate x64: Eclipse Indigo 2.7.2 (Build: M20120208-0800) Remote System Explorer 3.3.2 (see screenshot) (Oracle/Sun) Java 1.6 Update 31 (x86) Despite all my best efforts I am unable to connect to a remote system (a Centos 5.6 server on my local LAN) using a Remote System Explorer SSH connection - I've tried both password authentication and using my SSH private key. Here is a screenshot of both the Eclipse error dialogue and what is logged in my /var/log/secure log file: /var/log/secure: Apr 1 12:00:21 nagios sshd[6176]: Received disconnect from 172.16.3.88: 3: com.jcraft.jsch.JSchException: Auth fail When I connect for the first time I do get prompted to verify the authenticity of the remote host and the RSA key fingerprint. But that's as far as things go. Performing the same operation with the same credentials on my Fedora Core 16 box (also running the same version of Eclipse and Java) to the same server is successful. This leads me to believe that RSE SSH support on Windows is either broken or there's some piece of the SSH-on-Windows puzzle I'm missing. Is this the case?

  I thought that compiled queries would perform the same query translation as DataContext. Yet I'm getting a run-time error when I try to use a query with a .Contains method call. • datagridview winform tag only brings back the first row value

  I'm using visual studio 2008. I have a datagridview in a winform. I've bound to it using an object Private Sub LoadAllCampers() Dim Os As List(Of LE.Camper) = Nothing Dim Oc As New LE.Camper_Controller Os = Oc.GetCamperData(0) With Me.dgResults .DataSource = Os End With CamperBindingSource.DataSource = Os End Sub I have a tag setup on the ID property within the Camper class. when i double click on a row in teh datagridview, i do a me.dgResults.tag and it always shows the first rows ID value. If i change the ordering within the class, it will display a different value, but it's always the first value in the datagridview. I'm missing something simple to get this working.. just don't know what it is. Hopefully someone can spare a minute.

• problem processing xml in flex3

  Hi All, First time here asking a question and still learning on how to format things better... so sorry about the format as it does not look too well. I have started learning flex and picked up a book and tried to follow the examples in it. However, I got stuck with a problem. I have a jsp page which returns xml which basically have a list of products. I am trying to parse this xml, in other words go through products, and create Objects for each product node and store them in an ArrayCollection. The problem I believe I am having is I am not using the right way of navigating through xml. What I don't understand is the local [0] and the stloc.0/ldloc.0. As far as I see it, cgt pushes the result to the stack, stloc.0 gets the result from the stack into the local variable, ldloc.0 pushes the result to the stack again and brtrue.s reads from the stack. What is the purpose of doing this? Couldn't this be shortened to just cgt followed by brtrue.s?

But, I usually test application using JUnit, So I init the basic configurator in setup method. after that, I test the application, and I can see the log. Because I deployed, the web in websphere. I change all of logging instance become: private Log log = LogFactory.getLog(Foo.class); I don't know how to load basic configurator using ACL. so I can't control debug level to my JUnit test. do you have any suggestion, without changing static Logger logger = Logger.getLogger(SomeClass.class); become static Logger logger = Logger.getLogger(SomeClass.class);
