  • Drupal limit number of menu items in primary links

    Is there a way to set a limit on how many menu items users can add to Primary Links menu? I'm working on a Drupal site and I have a horizontal primary links nav bar. There is only room for no more than 7-8 links in the nav bar. I don't want the future maintainer of the site to add more than 8 items to the menu. Is there a way I can set a limit on that? Some module or override function? Thanks,

  • How to center elements in the BoxLayout using center of the element?

    I use outputPanel.setLayout(new BoxLayout(outputPanel, BoxLayout.Y_AXIS)); and then I add elements (for example JLabels, JButtons) to the outputPanel. For example: outputPanel.add(submitButton);. I see that all added elements are "centered". It is good, because I do want my elements to be in the center. When I write "center" I mean "equal distance from left and right". But the problem is that the left part of the element is put into the center. And I want to have center of elements to be put into the center. How can I get this behavior?

  • PhysX: Joint friction/"stiff" joints

    I'm working with physx (trying to add ik to ragdoll) at the moment. For some reason, all ragdoll joints are frictionless, and as a result, ragdoll tend to "wobble", especially when it is hung in the air and is connected to several moving kinematic actors. I would like to add friction to the joints and make them "stiff". Imagine a door (with extremely rusty hinge) that needs to be kicked several times to be open - i.e. it rotates around the hinge, but not much, quickly stops, and large force is required to make it rotate. Or think about art manikins (see google images for pictures) - their limbs move around, but they do not swing around freely. Unfortunately, I can't find anything related to joint friction in physx. I've checked documentation, google, and headers, and couldn't find anything useful. So, how do I implement stiff joints/joint friction with physx? (I think) I've seen physx games without that problem, so apparently there should be some way to do that.

  • connecting clients to server with emulator on different computers

    I am writing an application that communicates using sockets. I have a server running on one android emulator on a computer, then i have 2 other clients running on android emulators on 2 other computers. I am trying to get the 2 clients to connect to the server. This works when i run the server and clients on the same computer, but when i attempt to do this on the same wifi network and on separate computers it gives me the following error. The client and server code is posted below. A lot is stripped out just to show the important stuff. Also, after the server starts i telnet into the server and run these commands redir add tcp:5000:6000 (i have also tried without doing the redir but it still says the same thing). Then i start the clients and get the error. Thanks for the help! Both the 5000 port and 6000 port are open on my router.   • Visual Studio - how to create two projects using the same sources

    My solution consists of 2 executable projects and a couple dlls. Project1 is a Smart Device Project, Project2 is a Windows Forms Project. Both projects use the same libraries, the reason of that is I want to test my libraries on PC before I deploy it on the device. The problem is that the DLL project type can be Smart Device Class Library or Class Library, not both. I cannot add a reference from SD project to WF and vice versa. I was able to add reference from SD project to a dll file (generated from Class Library project) instead of the project itself, but for some reason I got the message "cannot load XXX type from YYY assembly". It doesn't depend on my code, because when I created separate project for the same sources, everything was fine. The only solution I've found is to create 2 types of projects for each library, but I don't know how to make 2 projects based on the same sources.

I've created a template class that can be used to save considerable time, and you're welcome to use it however you wish.     I do not want to create a custom navigation bar. I am pushing a UIViewController and I want to customize how the navigation bar looks for that UIViewController In story board, we just specify the segue and a nav bar show up on the screen. We just drag and drop UIBarItem to the left and right. In XIB, the navigationBar simply doesn't show up. I can add navigation Item but the one I added is ignored. I've heard that there used to be an outlet called navigationItem but it's deprecated for reason I do not know. I can add UINavigationBar, however that would be adding my own custom bar. I want the navBar that's provided by UINavigationController.

  • Flymake quits right ahead after loading with js2-mode

    When opening .js files, js2-mode and, subsequently, flymake-js is automatically loaded. But flymake unloads right ahead with the message Toggling flymake-mode off; better pass an explicit argument. However, when enabling it manually, using M-x flymake-mode, it keeps activated. Has anybody encountered similar behavior and has fixed it? My setup: I followed the instructions on emacswiki to set up Flymake to work with the most recent js2-mode with a little modification: (add-hook 'js2-mode-hook '(lambda () (flymake-js-load))) instead of (add-hook 'javascript-mode-hook '(lambda () (flymake-js-load)))

Remember that the UTC-offset is not the same all year because of winter/summer-time.

    Me and a friend are writing a plugin for jQuery that makes it easy for devs to add key shortcuts and we're damn close but no cigar. We're having issues with the key combos. It seems like we are having issues when you call the same selector multiple times on a page. Try pressing alt+a... youll see it works one time, then gets all mangled up. Anyone know how to fix it?     Hi I am discovering how to use git. I just made the following test: create a folder and 2 files then git init, git add ., git commit -m "initial commit" create a branch: git branch experimental, git checkout experimental then change the name of the folder and delete one of the files, then git add ., git commit -m "experimental" go back to master: git checkout master Surprise: I do not find the master as I left it; the folder has disappeared. And I have to do a git -reset --hard to find my folder. I wonder if I did something wrong or if I have not understood how git manages local changes. Thanks for your help.

  • Backbone.js (model instanceof Model) via Chrome Extension

    Hey guys, This is my first time ever posting on this site and the problem I'm about to pose is difficult to articulate due to the set of variables required to arrive at it. Let me just quickly explain the framework I'm working with. I'm building a Chrome Extension using jQuery, jQuery-ui, and Backbone The entire JS suite for the extension is written in CoffeeScript and I'm utilizing Rails and the asset pipeline to manage it all. This means that when I want to deploy my extension code I run rake assets:precompile and copy the resulting compressed JS to my extensions Directory. The nice thing about this approach is that I can actually run the extension js from inside my Rails app by including the library. This is basically the same as my extensions background.js file which injects the js as a content script. Anyway, the problem I've recently encountered was when I tried testing my extension on my buddy's site, whiskeynotes.com. What I was noticing is that my backbone models were being mangled upon adding them to their respective collections. So something like this.collection.add(new SomeModel) created some nonsense version of my model. This code eventually runs into Backbone's prepareModel code _prepareModel: function(model, options) { options || (options = {}); if (!(model instanceof Model)) { var attrs = model; options.collection = this; model = new this.model(attrs, options); if (!model._validate(model.attributes, options)) model = false; } else if (!model.collection) { model.collection = this; } return model; }, Now, in most of the sites on which I've tested the extension, the result is normal, however on my buddy's site the !(model instance Model) evaluates to true even though it is actually an instance of the correct class. The consequence is a super messed up version of the model where the model's attributes is a reference to the models collection (strange right?). Needless to say, all kinds of crazy things were happening afterward. Why this is occurring is beyond me. However changing this line (!(model instanceof Model)) to (!(model instanceof Backbone.Model)) seems to fix the problem. I thought maybe it had something to do with the Flot library (jQuery graph library) creating their own version of 'Model' but looking through the source yielded no instances of it. I'm just curious as to why this would happen. And does it make sense to add this little change to the Backbone source? Update: I just realized that the "fix" doesn't actually work. I can also add that my backbone Models are namespaced in a wrapping object so that declaration looks something like class SomeNamespace.SomeModel extends Backbone.Model
