  • How to show back and forward button on popup opened thru window.open or self.open?

    i am opening the popup window with below code snippet self.open('myJSPPage','ServicePopUp','height=600,width=800,resizable=yes,scrollbars=yes,toolbar=yes,menubar=yes,location=yes'); Once the window opens i do not see any back button or forward button on popup. I just see title then address bar under it and then myJSPPage under address bar. I am not getting how to show back and forward button on popup?

  • Change stack order in mobile view at 1140 grid?

    I want to implement the 1140grid at my site. The layout is pretty simple: 100% header 25% sidebar 75% page 100% footer see also http://jsfiddle.net/KB5Nq/ the problem is that i would like to change the stack order when the site is in mobile view: 100% header 100% page 100% sidebar 100% footer however, by default it arranges the blocks in the same order as they appear in the source code: header, sidebar, page, footer. is there an easy css-only fix for that?

Problem – The link to demo videos will disappear once you have watched the video Learning Visual Studio has become easier than ever with the Visual Studio How to Videos hosted inside of Visual Studio showing up in the context of the task you are trying to achieve. For instance when you click code review in team explorer you can see the link “Streaming Video: Using Code Review to improve quality” when you click this link the video stream is delivered to you right with in Visual Studio. Next time you run Visual Studio you will notice that the home page has a check mark in the video “Using Code Review to improve quality”. If you navigate to code review in the myWork hub in the team explorer, you will notice that the link “Streaming Video: Using Code Review to improve quality” does not show up any more.         2. Solution – How to get the Demo Videos link back Warning: Editing the registry can lead to serious problems if not done correctly.  Always backup your registry before editing. This solution is neither suggested nor supported by Microsoft.   • How do I get back hard drive space after I have uninstalled Ubuntu from Windows?

    I installed Ubuntu on windows like it says to do it on Ubuntu's website as an application. I did not want it to create a separate partition on my hard drive. A few days ago, I uninstalled Ubuntu by going into the Windows control panel and hitting uninstall. As you would expect, I would get back my 100 or so gb on the disc. i never really installed anything of importance on ubuntu so i never had a second thought about uninstalling it. But I never got back my 100gb from Ubuntu. Now when I add up all of the folders on my c drive, they total to the amount I had on windows before I uninstalled Ubuntu but when I look at the My Computer screen, it says that another 100 or so gb is missing. I tried defragmenting the disc, downloading various disc managers but nothing fixed the space problem. Can anyone please help me with this!!??? Any help is much appreciated! Just making sure: UBUNTU WAS NOT ON A SEPARATE PARTITION, IT WAS INSTALLED AS AN APPLICATION ON WINDOWS.   • When is it too late to go back to coding from a management role? [closed]

    Problem solving keeps the mind sharp and if you are like me then it makes you happy. But what if you went from coding up to Team Lead and then to Project Manager? I have a team of 12 and on a good salary but lately have been thinking that the politics and admin tasks of being middle level management in an Investment Bank is not the right path to happiness. I used to be able to design and code as well as manage but lately it's all budgets, admin tasks and people problems. At 39 is it too late to go be a senior developer again? Basically - Team Lead in a flat structure with good people rocks. But if half your team is offshore then it loses something - There's a lot of politics in Project Management and so many meetings that even if you want to code you start letting your team down by missing deadlines and only suited for small units of work The coding skills haven't gone so to pick up WCF services it just takes a bit of reading and then playing around. I reckon I could switch to a Hedge Fund and go back to developing and be far happier and get more money. My 2 doubts though are 1. Mid life crisis in that I'd get bored with coding again 2. Or maybe I'd like it but there aren't many dev jobs for 40+ so I'd be throwing away a high level management role that took 7 years at thee one bank to get to0 Anybody else made to switch back and survived?

    I am a graduate student with many scripts, bibliography data in bibtex, thesis draft in latex, presentations in open office, posters in scribus, and figures and result data. I would like to put everything in one project under version control. Then when I need to work on a portion such as the bibliography data, I would like to check that subdirectory out, modify it as necessary and merge it back.I would like the ability to check out one version to my home computer, and a different one to my work computer and make changes to each independently and eventually merge them back. I would also like to be able to check out a piece of code from this big project and import it with versioning into a separate project. If I may changes I'd like to be able to merge them back to the original project.     I have developed a simple web application using JSP. It has a login page which contains username, password fields and sumbit button. It has a logout page which contains a link to the login page. And there are some pages like page1, page2, page3, page4, etc. Normal workflow is the following: After login comes page1. Then click some action and it will go to page2. Then click some action and it will go to page3. Then click some action and it will go to page4. So now I am in page4. Now click back button in navigation toolbar in browser, generally go to previous page (page3). But my requirement is, if you click back button in navigation toolbar from any page in the application, then you should go to logout page. For example: if you are in page4 and press the back button, then you should go to logout page and not to page3. How to achieve this? Is it anyway possible? Maybe with Javascript?

Is there any fix/workaround to have the scripts execute again when viewing the page the second time?   • How to send data from an opened window back to its opener in WPF.

    In WPF I have one window opening a second window that allows some data selections to occur on. Once the selections have been made I then want to submit/close the second/sub window and have the data pushed back to the opening/parent window. I can push data into the sub window from the parent via public properties, but have not worked out how to get it back the other way. Can anyone help please?   • Making IE "forget" information entered in form when using back button.

    I have a page with a form where many of the fields are populated from variables passed in the URL. Those fields are disabled (NON-EDITABLE) and are only there for the user to view. The remaining fields require user input and are NOT disabled (EDITABLE). When the form is submitted a confirmation page comes up. It may be the case that the user needs to submit several of these forms where the NON-EDITABLE information is identical from form to form, so being able to go back to the form page from the confirmation page would save a lot of time. The way I want this to work is when a user presses the back button all the NON-EDITABLE fields are populated, but the EDITABLE fields are blank. This is what Firefox is doing, but IE8 is does not "forget" what has been entered in the EDITABLE fields. To disable the cache the following appears at the beginning of my page AND at the end of my page. <head> <meta http-equiv="Pragma" content="no-cache"/> <meta http-equiv="Cache-Control" content="no-store"/> <head/> What more must I do to make IE forget what was entered in the EDITABLE fields when the back button is pressed? All of my pages are generated with PHP if that matters. EDIT: It appears to me that this is a problem of IE caching my page even though I have told it not to. Are my meta tags correct? Do I need to do something else to prevent IE from caching my page?

    the TCP/IP stack is smashed, thats why no LAN-Connections are running. I want to download the LAN drivers from another computer and uninstall and reinstall the LAN devices on this system. Hopefully that should recreate the stack. But what to download? What uninstall? How to install? Windows Vista is protected against such changes, so how to achieve that job? please help. Update per 2011-03-11: I found all the tipps and hints about "TCP/IP Repair, LSP Fix, and WinSock Fix" according to windows vista but nothing helped to bring back network access. What can i do as next step or which opportunities are left?

    What's current best practice to capture full kernel stack traces on a Linux system (RHEL 5.x, kernel 2.6.18) that occasionally panics in a device driver? I'm used to the "old" SunOS way of doing things - crash dumps get written to swap, and on reboot the dump gets retrieved in the local file system. man 8 crash refers to diskdump, but that appears to be unsupported. and/or deprecated. I've played with kdump, but it's unclear whether I can get a stack trace from that. Triggering a panic via Magic SysRq didn't create one. It also seems wasteful to reserve so much memory (128MB) just for a kexec crash recovery kernel.

    I have a Tab Bar Controller created in Interface Builder Within the Tab Bar are 4 Navigation Controllers. Each controller functions separately and perfectly (yay!) What I need to be able to do is a push a view controller onto a different nav controllers stack and switch the focus onto the appropriate tab bar item (so that the user moves sideways (to a different tab) and up (to a new view) at the same time). This is my first time working with a tab bar controller, and while it's been simple to this point, figuring this out is giving me fits. Any tips you can toss my way would be much appreciated.

  • Why is the JVM stack-based and the DalvikVM register based?

    I'm curious, why did Sun decide to make the JVM stack-based and Google decide to make the DalvikVM register based? I suppose the JVM can't really assume that a certain number of registers are available on the target platform, since it is supposed to be platform independent. Therefor it just postpones the register-allocation etc, to the JIT compiler. (Correct me if I'm wrong.) So the Android guys thought, "hey, that's inefficient, let's go for a register based vm right away..."? But wait, there are multiple different android devices, what number of registers did the Dalvik target? Are the Dalvik opcodes hardcoded for a certain number of registers? Do all current Android devices on the market have about the same number of registers? Or, is there a register re-allocation performed during dex-loading? How does all this fit together?
