    Hi Guys, I have Visual 2010, I am trying to generate dal from my database. I create a classlibrary project I add reference to Subsonic I add reference to mysql create generated file in directory I add a App.config file and fill it as this: I create the external tools button and run it, it generates the CS files, but doesnt appear in generate files, what to do next to use these files in my application?? thanks

  • Decorator Design Pattern Use With Service Objects (wSingleton)

    I'm working on a project where I need to add some functionality to a service object and using a decorator to add it in seems like a good fit. However, I've only ever used decorators with simple beans, never on a singleton like a service object. Has anyone ever done this before and what are the pros and cons? In this case I don't think creating a subclass will work so a decorator seems to be a good fit. What are your thoughts on doing this?

    I have a database project that goes through iterations (only one so far) and I need to deploy a testing version to a live server. I'm not sure how to go about this. I can make all the changes in a copy and then remake those changes in the live version. That doesn't make sense. Is there a way to change a server name to an existing server? What's the best practice for this scenario?

Now when i click on login button of login control - it calls login method of controller class with acceptver = get. how can i call login method with acceptverb = post?

    I'd like to make my local repo point to a different fork of the same project. Will this work? Do a merge with the 'target origin' Change the origin repo in my config file to the 'target origin' Also, if my local repo is not entirely identical to the new origin (say, I've resolved some merge conflicts in my favor), will these changes be pushed to the new origin when I do a git push, or will only commits made after the change of origin get pushed?

    I have a project that involves recording data from a device directly into a sql table. I do very little processing in code before writing to sql server (2008 express by the way) typically i use the sqlhelper class's ExecuteNoneQuery method and pass in a stored proc name and list of parameters that the SP expects. This is very convenient, but i need a much faster way of doing this. Thanks.

  • the '.htaccess' file won't work on my apache server

    Hi, I have an Apache server installed on my windows machine using XAMPP. Now I'm trying to use a premade .htaccess file for one of my projects, but it doesn't seem to be seeing it. The project just totally ignores it, even though I've enabled mod_rewrite. Any idea how I can troubleshoot this? I can't fix it if it just doesn't work and doesn't show me any errors. I worked on a project that used Office Automation in .NET 1.1 a few years ago, and it was really unspeakably poor.
