  • How Do I Convert text to a WAV file With Inaudible Waveform?

    - by Scott
    I am trying to create an audio watermarking system. I figure the best solution is to create an audio file (WAV) based on a unique string of text and then combine this with the original wav. The part that makes this tricky (for me anyway) is: How do I convert the text string to a wav? How do I ensure that the resulting WAV form is inaudible (or at least barely noticeable to the listener). I would prefer this be done server side (via PHP, etc) but if the processing load isn't too much then would be ok with something in Flash or Javascript. I'd be willing to pay someone to create me a workable solution (complete source code that functions as described). Thanks, Scott!

  • Why does this IF statement fail?

    - by ChosenOne
    If variable path is empty, and editor.Text is not empty, the SaveFileDialog should be displayed. Now, why on earth is this damn thing failing??? I have tried this with many different variations of code with the same result: FAIL: if(path.Length >= 1) // path contains a path. Save changes instead of creating NEW file. { File.WriteAllText(path, content); } else { // no path defined. Create new file and write to it. using(SaveFileDialog saver = new SaveFileDialog()) { if(saver.ShowDialog() == DialogButtons.OK) { File.WriteAllText(saver.Filename, content); } } } At the top of code file I have: path = String.Empty; So why the heck it this failing every single time, even after trying all of the below variations? if(path.Length > 1) // path contains a path. Save changes instead of creating NEW file. { File.WriteAllText(path, content); } else { // no path defined. Create new file and write to it. using(SaveFileDialog saver = new SaveFileDialog()) { if(saver.ShowDialog() == DialogButtons.OK) { File.WriteAllText(saver.Filename, content); } } } and if(String.IsNullOrEmpty(path)) // path contains a path. Save changes instead of creating NEW file. { File.WriteAllText(path, content); } else { // no path defined. Create new file and write to it. using(SaveFileDialog saver = new SaveFileDialog()) { if(saver.ShowDialog() == DialogButtons.OK) { File.WriteAllText(saver.Filename, content); } } } and if(String.IsNullOrWhiteSpace(path)) // path contains a path. Save changes instead of creating NEW file. { File.WriteAllText(path, content); } else { // no path defined. Create new file and write to it. using(SaveFileDialog saver = new SaveFileDialog()) { if(saver.ShowDialog() == DialogButtons.OK) { File.WriteAllText(saver.Filename, content); } } } This is making me very angry. How could this fail? Setting a break point reveals that path is definitely null/"".

  • Dynamics CRM Get Info For Customer

    - by macinjosh
    I'm working on a ASP.NET (C#) site that pulls most of its data from Dynamics CRM over SOAP using Microsoft's CrmService SDK. I'm at the point where a query has returned an entity with a property of the type Customer. I need to get the name string of that customer record, but cannot figure out how to do so. By doing a little guess work I figured out that what I have is GUID for the customer. How can I use this GUID to get the customer's name as a string? • Identifying an empty text node with jQuery + Javascript

    - by b. e. hollenbeck
    You'd think this was easy - but I'm having the hardest time with it. Here's what I'm trying to identify: <span class="cw-value-one"></span> Here's what I'm using so far: $('span.cw-value-one').each(function(){ var textNode = $(this).text(); var type = typeof textNode; var len = textNode.length; if($(this).is(':empty')){ $(this).siblings('span.cw-value-two').css({"position": "relative", "left": "1em"}); } }); Ok, so textNode = "", type = string and len = 1 - none of which is helpful in identifying an empty text node, since a has a type of string and length of 1. The jQuery .is(':empty') is not working either. So whow do you identify an empty text node in JQuery or plain ol' Javascript?

  • Using Interfaces in action signature

    - by Dmitry Borovsky
    Hello, I want to use interface in Action signature. So I've tried make own ModelBinder by deriving DefaultModelBinder: public class InterfaceBinder<T> : DefaultModelBinder where T: new() { protected override object CreateModel(ControllerContext controllerContext, ModelBindingContext bindingContext, Type modelType) { return base.CreateModel(controllerContext, bindingContext, typeof(T)); } } public interface IFoo { string Data { get; set; } } public class Foo: IFoo /*other interfaces*/ { /* a lot of */ public string Data { get; set; } } public class MegaController: Controller { public ActionResult Process( [ModelBinder(typeof(InterfaceBinder))]IFoo foo){/bla-bla-bla/} } But it doesn't work. Does anybody have idea how release this behaviour? And yes, I know that I can make my own implementation of IModelBinder, but I'm looking for easier way.

  • Allow single-line accessor (getter/setter) syntax with Checkstyle

    - by Sam3
    We'd like to have trivial Java property accessors using a single line syntax, so they take up much much less space, and are more readable (in terms of 'seeing' the set of accessors quickly). But we do want to enforce multi-line method syntax for everything else in our checkstyle configuration. But I'm not sure how to make this exception for accessors in Checkstyle config and suspect it may not be possible. So we'd like our accessors to look something like this: public String getFoo() { return foo; } public void setFoo(String foo) { this.foo = foo; } [In fact we'd rather not have trivial accessors at all and instead just annotate the private member variables with @Property or something and have the accessors generated for us, since writing endless get and set code delivers no real benefit, but that's a general Java frustration and an aside as far as this question goes.]

  • Replacing backslash with another symbol in PHP

    - by Skyfe
    Hi there, Been struggling with replacing a backslash by another symbol such as '.-.' just to indicate the position of backslashes as I could not send a string such as 'C\xampp\etc.' through url as GET variable so I thought I'd first replace the backslashes in that string by another symbol, then send through url, and then replace them back to backslashes in the PHP file that handles it. Though would there be a better way to send such strings through url? Because when I try a script such as: $tmp_name = preg_replace("\", ".-.", $_FILES['uploadfile']['tmp_name']); It turns out into a php error as \ is also used as delimiter.. Could anyone help me out on this? Thanks in advanced! Btw, if I'd be able to send a full array through url, this whole problem would be solved, but I don't think it's possible?

  • Java: using endpoint to publish webservice to tomcat server

    - by Will
    hi all, i am creating a simple SOAP web service. i am to ensure that it runs on a tomcat web service. im trying to implement this with JAX-WS (see code) my question is: does the Endpoint.publish use the tomcat server to host this or is it a mini glassfish kind of server? should i be extending UnicastRemoveObject or something similiar instead? ideally it would be able to be packaged into a .WAR and dropped in the directory and just work. It doesn't seem to work with my installed tomcat server as is because it says the port is already in use. I'm using Ubuntu karmic with the tomcat6 package installed, it could also be my user doesnt have permissions to publish to the running tomcat on 8080 i hope this question is clear enough sample code: @WebService public class UserAttributes { public static void main(String[] args) { UserAttributes instance = new UserAttributes(); Endpoint.publish("http://localhost:8082/WebServices/userattributes", instance); } public string Hello() { return "Hello World"; } }

  • IOS where to put the configuration of facebook sdk

    - by Carol Smith
    I am trying to integrated my IOS 7 application with Facebook SDK I following this official tutorial https://developers.facebook.com/docs/ios/getting-started which states Configure the .plist Follow these three steps: Create a key called FacebookAppID with a string value, and add the app ID there. Create a key called FacebookDisplayName with a string value, and add the Display Name you configured in the App Dashboard. Create an array key called URL types with a single array sub-item called URL Schemes. Give this a single item with your app ID prefixed with fb. This is used to ensure the application will receive the callback URL of the web-based OAuth flow. The finished .plist should look something like this: My question is where to put these values? They already put this image, maybe it helps you to answer me Edit The problem that I don't have any plist file in my framework in xcode and I can't add a new one because if i did, I would have to add all the variables that you see in the image but the tutorial just stated about some of them

  • Regular Expression Help in .NET

    - by Matt H.
    I have a simple pattern I am trying to match, any characters captured between parenthesis at the end of an HTML paragraph. I am running into trouble any time there is additional parentheticals in that paragraph: i.e. If the input string is "..... (321)</p" i want to get the value (321) However, if the paragraph has this text: "... (123) (321)</p" my regex is returning "(123) (321)" (everything between the opening "(" and closing ")" I am using the regex pattern "\s(.+)</p" How can I grab the correct value (using VB.NET) This is what I'm doing so far: Dim reg As New Regex("\s\(.+\)</P>", RegexOptions.IgnoreCase) Dim matchC As MatchCollection = reg.Matches(su.Question) If matchC.Count > 0 Then Dim lastMatch As Match = matchC(matchC.Count - 1) Dim DesiredValue As String = lastMatch.Value End If

  • Cross platform unicode path handling

    - by Matt Joiner
    I'm using boost::filesystem for cross-platform path manipulation, but this breaks down when calls need to be made down into interfaces I don't control that won't accept UTF-8. For example when using the Windows API, I need to convert to UTF-16, and then call the wide-string version of whatever function I was about to call, and then convert any output back to UTF-8. While the wpath, and other w* forms of many of the boost::filesystem functions help keep sanity, are there any suggestions for how best to handle this conversion to wide-string forms where needed, while maintaining consistency in my own code?

  • NHibernate Projections to retrieve a Collection?

    - by Simon Söderman
    I´m having some trouble retrieving a collection of strings in a projection: say that I have the following classes public class WorkSet { public Guid Id { get; set; } public string Title { get; set; } public ISet<string> PartTitles { get; protected set; } } public class Work { public Guid Id { get; set; } public WorkSet WorkSet { get; set; } //a bunch of other properties } I then have a list of Work ids I want to retrieve WorkSet.Title, WorkSet.PartTitles and Id for. My tought was to do something like this: var works = Session.CreateCriteria<Work>() .Add(Restrictions.In("Id", hitIds)) .CreateAlias("WorkSet", "WorkSet") .SetProjection( Projections.ProjectionList() .Add(Projections.Id()) .Add(Projections.Property("WorkSet.Title")) .Add(Projections.Property("WorkSet.PartTitles"))) .List(); The Id and Title loads up just fine, but the PartTitles returns null. Suggestions please!

  • Why does a looser specification in an overriding method compile after the exception specification fo

    - by Everyone
    The code below has an overridden method with a looser exception specification as compared to the method being overridden. //AnotherMain.java public class AnotherMain { public void dummyMethod( String args[] ) throws IOException{ throw new IOException(); } } //SubAnotherMain.java public class SubAnotherMain extends AnotherMain{ @Override public void dummyMethod( String[] args ) throws Exception { // To get this to compile, change the above - throws IOException, Exception super.dummyMethod(args); throw new Exception("This will not compile unless the exception specification has IOException too"); } } Afaik, the overriding method should not compile at all as the looser specification might break substitutability. Why does it compile after the original exception specification is included in the override? What have I misunderstood?

  • Factorising program not working. Help required.

    - by Ender
    I am working on a factorisation problem using Fermat's Factorization and for small numbers it is working well. I've been able to calculate the factors (getting the answers from Wolfram Alpha) for small numbers, like the one on the Wikipedia page (5959). Just when I thought I had the problem licked I soon realised that my program was not working when it came to larger numbers. The program follows through the examples from the Wikipedia page, printing out the values a, b, a2 and b2; the results printed for large numbers are not correct. I've followed the pseudocode provided on the Wikipedia page, but am struggling to understand where to go next. Along with the Wikipedia page I have been following this guide. Once again, as my Math knowledge is pretty poor I cannot follow what I need to do next. The code I am using so far is as follows: import java.math.BigInteger; /** * * @author AlexT */ public class Fermat { private BigInteger a, b; private BigInteger b2; private static final BigInteger TWO = BigInteger.valueOf(2); public void fermat(BigInteger N) { // floor(sqrt(N)) BigInteger tmp = getIntSqrt(N); // a <- ceil(sqrt(N)) a = tmp.add(BigInteger.ONE); // b2 <- a*a-N b2 = (a.multiply(a)).subtract(N); final int bitLength = N.bitLength(); BigInteger root = BigInteger.ONE.shiftLeft(bitLength / 2); root = root.add(b2.divide(root)).divide(TWO); // while b2 not square root while(!(isSqrt(b2, root))) { // a <- a + 1 a = a.add(BigInteger.ONE); // b2 <- (a * a) - N b2 = (a.multiply(a)).subtract(N); root = root.add(b2.divide(root)).divide(TWO); } b = getIntSqrt(b2); BigInteger a2 = a.pow(2); // Wrong BigInteger sum = (a.subtract(b)).multiply((a.add(b))); //if(sum.compareTo(N) == 0) { System.out.println("A: " + a + "\nB: " + b); System.out.println("A^2: " + a2 + "\nB^2: " + b2); //} } /** * Is the number provided a perfect Square Root? * @param n * @param root * @return */ private static boolean isSqrt(BigInteger n, BigInteger root) { final BigInteger lowerBound = root.pow(2); final BigInteger upperBound = root.add(BigInteger.ONE).pow(2); return lowerBound.compareTo(n) <= 0 && n.compareTo(upperBound) < 0; } public BigInteger getIntSqrt(BigInteger x) { // It returns s where s^2 < x < (s+1)^2 BigInteger s; // final result BigInteger currentRes = BigInteger.valueOf(0); // init value is 0 BigInteger currentSum = BigInteger.valueOf(0); // init value is 0 BigInteger sum = BigInteger.valueOf(0); String xS = x.toString(); // change input x to a string xS int lengthOfxS = xS.length(); int currentTwoBits; int i=0; // index if(lengthOfxS % 2 != 0) {// if odd length, add a dummy bit xS = "0".concat(xS); // add 0 to the front of string xS lengthOfxS++; } while(i < lengthOfxS){ // go through xS two by two, left to right currentTwoBits = Integer.valueOf(xS.substring(i,i+2)); i += 2; // sum = currentSum*100 + currentTwoBits sum = currentSum.multiply(BigInteger.valueOf(100)); sum = sum.add(BigInteger.valueOf(currentTwoBits)); // subtraction loop do { currentSum = sum; // remember the value before subtract // in next 3 lines, we work out // currentRes = sum - 2*currentRes - 1 sum = sum.subtract(currentRes); // currentRes++ currentRes = currentRes.add(BigInteger.valueOf(1)); sum = sum.subtract(currentRes); } while(sum.compareTo(BigInteger.valueOf(0)) >= 0); // the loop stops when sum < 0 // go one step back currentRes = currentRes.subtract(BigInteger.valueOf(1)); currentRes = currentRes.multiply(BigInteger.valueOf(10)); } s = currentRes.divide(BigInteger.valueOf(10)); // go one step back return s; } /** * @param args the command line arguments */ public static void main(String[] args) { Fermat fermat = new Fermat(); //Works //fermat.fermat(new BigInteger("5959")); // Doesn't Work fermat.fermat(new BigInteger("90283")); } } If anyone can help me out with this problem I'll be eternally grateful.

  • Computed properties in NHibernate

    - by Liron Levi
    I'm having a problem in mapping an existing data class member to the database.. I have a database table where one of the columns is a string type, but actually stores a comma separated list of numbers. My data class shows this field as a list of integers. The problem is that I couldn't find any hook in NHibernate that allows me to invoke the custom code that is required to replace the string field by the list and vice versa. To illustrate (simplified of course): The database table: CREATE TABLE dummy ( id serial, numlist text -- (can store values such as '1,2,3') ) The data class: class Dummy { public int Id; public List<int> NumbersList; } Can anyone help?

  • Android listview array adapter selected

    - by João Melo
    i'm trying to add a contextual action mode to a listview, but i'm having some problems with the selection, if i make aList1.setSelection(position) it doesn't select anything, and if i make List1.setItemChecked(position, true) it works but it only changes the font color a little and i want it to change the background or something more notable, is there any way to detect the selection and manually and change the background, or i'm missing something? the list: <RelativeLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:layout_width="match_parent" android:layout_height="match_parent" > <ListView android:id="@+id/list1" android:layout_width="match_parent" android:layout_height="match_parent" android:choiceMode="singleChoice" android:drawSelectorOnTop="false"> </ListView> </RelativeLayout> the adapter: public class ServicesRowAdapter extends ArrayAdapter<String[]> { private final Activity context; private final ArrayList<String[]> names; static class ViewHolder { public TextView Id; public TextView Date; public RelativeLayout statusbar,bglayout; } public ServicesRowAdapter(Activity context, ArrayList<String[]> names) { super(context, R.layout.servicesrowlayout, names); this.context = context; this.names = names; } @Override public View getView(int position, View convertView, ViewGroup parent) { View rowView = convertView; if (rowView == null) { LayoutInflater inflater = context.getLayoutInflater(); rowView = inflater.inflate(R.layout.servicesrowlayout, null); ViewHolder viewHolder = new ViewHolder(); viewHolder.Id = (TextView) rowView.findViewById(R.id.idlabel); viewHolder.Date = (TextView) rowView.findViewById(R.id.datelabel); rowView.setTag(viewHolder); } ViewHolder holder = (ViewHolder) rowView.getTag(); holder.Date.setText(names.get(position)[2]); holder.Id.setText(names.get(position)[1]); return rowView; } } with the use of a layout: <RelativeLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" > <TextView android:id="@+id/idlabel" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_centerVertical="true" android:gravity="right" android:text="@+id/idlabel" android:textSize="20dp" android:width="70dp" > </TextView> <TextView android:id="@+id/datelabel" android:layout_centerVertical="true" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text="@+id/datelabel" android:textSize="20dp" android:layout_marginLeft="90dp" > </TextView> </RelativeLayout
