  • Adding dynamic content with events in jquerymobile

    - by Christian Waidner
    Currently I'm stuck with a problem in jquerymobile: I'm adding items to a list dynamically and use enhanceWithin() in the end (so styling is correct). After this I like to add click-events for each list item but the problem is, that enhanceWithin runs asynchronous and so I always get the error message "cannot call methods on checkboxradio prior to initialization; attempted to call method 'refresh'" When I delay the event-adding-code it works perfectly. Does anyone have an idea if there is a enhanceWithin.done event or anything else I can use? HTML: ... <div id="shoppinglist">Loading list...</div> ... Javascript: function updateList() { var result = ""; $.each(shoppinglistItems, function (index, item) { result += '<label><input type="checkbox" ' + item.checked + ' id="item_' + item.id + '">' + item.name + '</label>\n'; }); $('#shoppinglist').html(result).enhanceWithin(); // Change-Events an die Checkboxen knoten $('input[id*=item_]').unbind('change').bind('change', function (event) { var itemid = $(this).attr('id'); itemid = (itemid.split('_'))[1]; // Nur die Zahl extrahieren // Passendes Item aus der Liste der Items suchen und checken $.each(shoppinglistItems, function (index, item) { if (item.id == itemid) { item.checked = "checked"; item.timestamp = moment().format("YYYYMMDDHHmmss"); } }); updateList(); }); }

  • javascript error handling

    - by pankaj
    I have a javascript function for checking errors which I am calling on OnClicentClick event of a button. Once it catch a error I want to stop execution of the click event. But in my case it always it always executes the onclick event. Following is my function: function DisplayError() { if (document.getElementById('<%=txtPassword.ClientID %>').value.length < 6 || document.getElementById('<%=txtPassword.ClientID %>').value.length > 12) { document.getElementById('<%=lblError.ClientID %>').innerText = "Password length must be between 6 to 12 characters"; return false; } var str = <%=PhoneNumber()%>; if(str.length <10) { alert('<%=phoneNum%>'.length); document.getElementById('<%=lblError.ClientID %>').innerText = "Phone Number not in correct format"; return false; } } button html code: <asp:Button runat="server" Text="Submit" ID="btnSubmit" ValidationGroup="submit" onclick="btnSubmit_Click" OnClientClick="DisplayError()"/> It should not execute the button click event once it satisfies any of the IF condition in the javascript function.

  • Need help with jquery json data transfer from php file

    - by Scarface
    Hey guys I am trying to return the latest 10 results of a query from a php file, through json format, to a jquery getjson function that prints results. I am getting weird problems though. For example I am only getting 8 entries returned, and some are disordered, and sometimes nothing is returned. I am not really sure what I am doing wrong, so if anyone has any ideas I would really appreciate it. This is my query ($res) SELECT time, user, message FROM comments WHERE topic_id='$topic_id' ORDER BY time DESC LIMIT 10 This is the processing of the results while($row = mysql_fetch_array($res)){ $message=$row['message']; $user=$row['user']; if($row['message'] AND $row['time'] > $_GET['time']) $data[] = $row; } $out = json_encode($data); print $out; And this is the retrieval where prepare is just a function that returns information into a div $.getJSON(files+"processing.php?action=load&time="+0+"&topic_id="+topic_id+"&t=" + (new Date()), function(json) { if(json.length) { for(i=0; i < 10; i++) { $('#comment-list').prepend(prepare(json[i])); $('#list-' + count).fadeIn(1500); } } }); function prepare(response) { count++; var string = '<li class="comment-list" id="list-'+count+'">' //organize info into a div +'</li>'; return string; }

  • Trouble defining method for Javascript class definition.

    - by btoverdrive
    I'm somewhat new to object oriented programming in Javascript and I'm trying to build a handler object and library for a list of items I get back from an API call. Ideally, I'd like the library functions to be members of the handler class. I'm having trouble getting my class method to work however. I defined as part of the class bcObject the method getModifiedDateTime, but when I try to echo the result of the objects call to this method, I get this error: Error on line 44 position 26: Expected ';' this.getModifiedDateTime: function(epochtime) { which leads me to believe that I simply have a syntax issue with my method definition but I can't figure out where. response( { "items": [ {"id":711,"name":"Shuttle","lastModifiedDate":"1268426336727"}, {"id":754,"name":"Formula1","lastModifiedDate":"1270121717721"} ], "extraListItemsAttr1":"blah", "extraListItemsAttr2":"blah2" }); function response(MyObject) { bcObject = new bcObject(MyObject); thing = bcObject.getModifiedDateTime(bcObject.videoItem[0].lastModifiedDate); SOSE.Echo(thing); } function bcObject(listObject) { // define class members this.responseList = {}; this.videoCount = 0; this.videoItem = []; this.responseListError = ""; // instantiate members this.responseList = listObject; this.videoCount = listObject.items.length; // populate videoItem array for (i=0;i<this.videoCount;i++) { this.videoItem[i] = listObject.items[i]; } this.getModifiedDateTime: function(epochtime) { var dateStringOutput = ""; var myDate = new Date(epochtime); dateStringOutput = myDate.toLocaleString(); return dateStringOutput; }; }

  • Smarter println that shows the depth in the stack

    - by Hectoret
    I am using System.out.println in my code to track the execution of a program and get some useful output. This creates results like this in the console: Main function. Program starts. Method getArea. Getting values Method getSide. Side is 6 Method getArea. First value is 6 Method getSide. Side is 8 Method getArea. Second value is 8 Method getArea. Area is 48 Main function. The final area is 48 I would like to create tha method, which adds a space in front of the output every time the code goes deeper in the method call stack. For example, the same code but instead of using System.out.println, now with Misc.smartPrintln: Main function. Program starts. Method getArea. Getting values Method getSide. Side is 6 Method getArea. First value is 6 Method getSide. Side is 8 Method getArea. Second value is 8 Method getArea. Area is 48 Main function. The final area is 48 The method would have this definition: public static void smartPrintln(String string); I don't know how to implement this functionality. Any ideas how to solve this? And, could the use of a logger offer this functionality?

  • Test a database conection without codeigniter throwing a fit, can it be done?

    - by RobertWHurst
    I'm just about finished my first release of automailer, a program I've been working on for a while now. I've just got to finish writing the installer. Its job is to rewrite the codigniter configs from templates. I've got the read/write stuff working, but I'd like to be able to test the server credentials given by the user without codingiter throwing a system error if they're wrong. Is there a function other than mysql_connect that I can use to test a connection that will return true or false and won't make codeigniter have a fit? This is what I have function _test_connection(){ if(mysql_connect($_POST['host'], $_POST['username'], $_POST['password'], TRUE)) return TRUE; else return FALSE; } Codigniter doesn't like this and throws a system error. <div style="border:1px solid #990000;padding-left:20px;margin:0 0 10px 0;"> <h4>A PHP Error was encountered</h4> <p>Severity: Warning</p> <p>Message: mysql_connect() [<a href='function.mysql-connect'>function.mysql-connect</a>]: Unknown MySQL server host 'x' (1)</p> <p>Filename: controllers/install.php</p> <p>Line Number: 57</p> </div> I'd rather not turn off error reporting.

  • jQuery load default content into div

    - by Ricki
    Hi, ive searched around but couldnt really find anything to help. I use this code as a main ajax call for all content on my site (All content loaded dynamically into a div using this script): jQuery(document).ready(function($) { function load(num) { $('#pageContent').html('<img src="imgs/ajax-loader.gif">') $('#pageContent').load(num +".html"); } $.history.init(function(url) { load(url == "" ? "1" : url); }); $('#bbon a').live('click', function(e) { var url = $(this).attr('href'); URLDecoder.decode(location,"UTF-8"); url = url.replace(/^.*#/, ''); $.history.load(url); return false; }); }); which works great. its fantastic. however, i am unable to get default content displayed in the <div> on page load.. so a visitor would have to select a menu item before any content shows. Any ideas on how i could do this? At the minute all i see is my loading animation.. I use jQuery with the History plugin.

  • SoundChannel, Flash AS3

    - by pixelGreaser
    Is there a better way to use the sound channel is AS3? This works, but I hate it when I tap the play button twice and it starts doubling. Please advise. var mySound:Sound = new Sound(); playButton.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, myPlayButtonHandler); var myChannel:SoundChannel = new SoundChannel(); function myPlayButtonHandler (e:MouseEvent):void { myChannel = mySound.play(); } stopButton.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, onClickStop); function onClickStop(e:MouseEvent):void{ myChannel.stop(); } /*-----------------------------------------------------------------*/ //global sound buttons, add instance of 'killswitch' and 'onswitch' to stage killswitch.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, clipKillSwitch); function clipKillSwitch(e:MouseEvent):void{ var transform1:SoundTransform=new SoundTransform(); transform1.volume=0; flash.media.SoundMixer.soundTransform=transform1; } onswitch.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, clipOnSwitch); function clipOnSwitch(e:MouseEvent):void{ var transform1_:SoundTransform=new SoundTransform(); transform1_.volume=1; flash.media.SoundMixer.soundTransform=transform1_; }

  • Flash Builder 4 "includeIn" property causing design view error

    - by Chris
    I am creating a custom TextInput component that will define an "error" state. I have extended the TextInput class to change the state to "error" if the errorString property's length is greater than 0. In the skin class, I have defined an "error" state, and added some logic to detect the size and position of the error icon. However, if I have this code at the same time I use the "includeIn" property in the bitmap image tag, I get a design view error. If I either A) Only include that code with no "includeIn" property set, it works or B) dont include the code to set the icon size and position and only use the "includeIn" property, it works. Any ideas what could be causing the design view problem when I use both the "includeIn" property and the icon size/position code at the same time? TextInput Class: package classes { import spark.components.TextInput; public class TextInput extends spark.components.TextInput { [SkinState("error")]; public function TextInput() { super(); } override public function set errorString( value:String ):void { super.errorString = value; invalidateSkinState(); } override protected function getCurrentSkinState():String { if (errorString.length>0) { return "error"; } return super.getCurrentSkinState(); } } } TextInput Skin File: override protected function updateDisplayList(unscaledWidth:Number, unscaledHeight:Number):void { //THIS IS THE CODE THAT SEEMS TO BE CAUSING THE PROBLEM if(getStyle("iconSize") == "large") { errorIcon.right = -12; errorIcon.source = new errorIconLg(); } else { errorIcon.right = -5; errorIcon.source = new errorIconSm(); } super.updateDisplayList(unscaledWidth, unscaledHeight); } </fx:Script> <s:states> <s:State name="normal"/> <s:State name="disabled"/> <s:State name="error"/> </s:states> //If I remove the problem code above or if I take out the includeIn //property here, it works <s:BitmapImage id="errorIcon" verticalCenter="0" includeIn="error" /> </s:SparkSkin>

  • How to use strtok in C properly so there is no memory leak?

    - by user246392
    I am somewhat confused by what happens when you call strtok on a char pointer in C. I know that it modifies the contents of the string, so if I call strtok on a variable named 'line', its content will change. Assume I follow the bellow approach: void function myFunc(char* line) { // get a pointer to the original memory block char* garbageLine = line; // Do some work // Call strtok on 'line' multiple times until it returns NULL // Do more work free(garbageLine); } Further assume that 'line' is malloced before it is passed to myFunc. Am I supposed to free the original string after using strtok or does it do the job for us? Also, what happens if 'line' is not malloced and I attempt to use the function above? Is it safer to do the following instead? (Assume the programmer won't call free if he knows the line is not malloced) Invocation char* garbageLine = line; myFunc(line); free(garbageLine); Function definition void function myFunc(char* line) { // Do some work // Call strtok on 'line' multiple times until it returns NULL // Do more work }

  • Using jQuery .find() with multiple conditions at the same time?

    - by fuzzybabybunny
    I know that there are other ways of grabbing radio button values, but I want to know how to do this with .find(). I only want to log the value of the selected radio button, so it requires finding by two conditions at the same time: The button with name=area The button with selected=selected <div class="radio"> <label> <input class="track-order-change" type="radio" name="area" id="area1" value="area1" checked="checked"> Area 1 </label> </div> <div class="radio"> <label> <input class="track-order-change" type="radio" name="area" id="area2" value="area2"> Area 2 </label> </div> <div class="radio"> <label> <input class="track-order-change" type="radio" name="area" id="area3" value="area3"> Area 3 </label> </div> When anything with the class track-order-change changes, it will run the function UpdateOrderSubmission. $('.track-order-change').on('change', function() { updateOrderSubmission() }); I want the updateOrderSubmission function to console log the value of the radio button that is selected. var updateOrderSubmission = function() { var orderSubmission = { area: $('#submit-initial-form').find('[name=area],[checked=checked]').this.val() } console.log(orderSubmission) }; The code above doesn't work. How do I grab the value of the selected radio button? I need to do .find() with two conditions (name and checked), not just one condition.

  • Drawing straight lines in JavaScript

    - by Shawn31313
    I'm just trying to draw a line with JavaScript. I would like it to be like this: http://deepliquid.com/projects/blog/arrows2.html My version: http://jsfiddle.net/shawn31313/qsWML/5/show Doesn't work too well and I don't know how to get it too work. It must be an issue in my JavaScript. This my code: $(document).ready(function() { var dragStatus = 2, getPos, giveRandomID; $(document).mousedown(function(event) { dragStatus = 0; getPos = { top: event.clientY, left: event.clientX }; giveRandomID = Math.floor(Math.random() * 99999); }); $(document).mousemove(function() { var line = $('#line' + giveRandomID); if (dragStatus == 0) { $('body').append("<div id='line" + giveRandomID + "' style='position:absolute;top:" + getPos.top + "px;left:" + getPos.left + "px;background:black;width:2px;height:5px'></div>"); dragStatus = 1; } if (dragStatus == 1) { if (event.clientX > getPos.left) { line.css({ left: getPos.left, width: event.clientX - getPos.left }); } else { line.css({ left: event.clientX, width: getPos.left - event.clientX }); } if (event.clientY > getPos.top) { line.css({ top: getPos.top - Math.abs((event.clientY - getPos.top) * 2), '-webkit-transform': 'rotate(' + (event.clientY - getPos.top) + 'deg)' }); } else { line.css({ top: getPos.top + Math.abs((getPos.top - event.clientY) * 2), '-webkit-transform': 'rotate(' + (getPos.top - event.clientY) + 'deg)' }); } //for DEG "-" Top-Math.abs(DEG*2) for Deg "+" Top+(DEG*2) } }); $(document).mouseup(function() { dragStatus = 2; }); });? Thanks for any help fixing this. Mainly an issue with the math, just don't know how I can fix this.

  • Modifying html of dom element that was created after page loaded

    - by Ben321
    I have two separate AJAX calls. One that gets a list of items from a txt file and creates an HTML table out of them and one that talks to a database to find how much each item costs and then lists this in the corresponding table cell for each item (I know this may sound like a strange approach, but it's a good option in our case...). The issue is that the price is not getting written to the table since the table is created (or to be precise, the rows of the table are created) after the page loads. I'm not sure how to fix this. $(document).ready(function() { makeItemTable(); listPrices(); ... }); function makeItemTable() { $.ajax({ url: 'products.php', type: 'GET' }) .done(function(response) { $('.price-table > tbody').html(response); }) } function listPrices() { .ajax({ url: 'prices.php', type: 'GET' }) .done(function(response) { priceData = $.parseJSON(response); $('.price-table tr').each(function() { var item = $(this).find('td:nth-child(1)').text(); if (priceData[item]) { var price = priceData[item]; $(this).find('td:nth-child(2)').text(price); } }) }

  • yet another logic.

    - by Sunil
    I'm working on a research problem out of curiosity and I don't know how to program the logic that I've in mind. Let me explain it to you : I've 4 vectors say for example, v1 = 1 1 1 1 v2 = 2 2 2 2 v3 = 3 3 3 3 v4 = 4 4 4 4 Now what I want to do is to add them combination-wise. i.e v12 = v1+v2 v13 = v1+v3 v14 = v1+v4 v23 = v2+v3 v24 = v2+v4 v34 = v3+v4 Till this step it is just fine. The problem/trick is now, at the end of each iteration I give the obtained vectors into a black box function and it returns only few of the vectors say v12, v13 and v34. Now, I want to add each of these vectors one vector from v1,v2,v3,v4 which it hasn't added before. For example v3 and v4 hasn't been added to v12 so I want to create v123 and v124. similarly for all the vectors like, v12 should become : v123 = v12+v3 v124 = v12+v4 v13 should become : v132 // this should not occur because I already have v123 v134 = v13+v4; v14,v23 and v24 cannot be considered because it was deleted in the black box function so all we have in our hands to work with is v12,v13 and v34. v34 should become : v341 // cannot occur because we have 134 v342 = v34+v2 It is important that I do not do all at one step at the start like for example I can do (4 choose 3) 4C3 and finish it off but I want to do it step by step at each iteration. I've asked a modified version of this question before (without including the black box function) and got answers here. Can anybody tell me how to do it when the black box function is included ? A modification of the previous answer would also be great. Thanks in advance.

  • jQuery Toggle switch images

    - by Sixfoot Studio
    Hi Guys, I have a situation where I am not understanding jQuery's Toggle. I have two buttons, both of them open the same content and when you click on either button the content should open or close and the attribute changes the button from open to closed. (So both buttons do the same function). Only thing is, when I click on the top button and it opens my content and then click on the lower button to close it, the image attributes are switched incorrectly. Here's a very stripped down version of what my code looks like and I would appreciate some help. <script language="javascript" type="text/javascript"> $(function () { var open = false; $("#button1, #button2").toggle( function () { open = true; $("#button1").attr("src", "images/btn-open.gif"); $("#button2").attr("src", "images/btn-open.gif"); }, function () { if (open) { $("#button1").attr("src", "images/btn-closed.gif"); $("#button2").attr("src", "images/btn-closed.gif"); } else { $("#button1").attr("src", "images/btn-open.gif"); $("#button2").attr("src", "images/btn-open.gif"); } open = false; } ); }); </script> <img id="button1" src="images/btn-open.gif"></img> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <img id="button2" src="images/btn-open.gif"></img>

  • Using Javascript to get URL Vars, not working when multiple values present in QueryString

    - by bateman_ap
    Hi, I am using a Javascript function to get the values of a URL to pass to jQuery using the function below: function getUrlVars() { var vars = [], hash; var hashes = window.location.href.slice(window.location.href.indexOf('?') + 1).split('&'); for(var i = 0; i < hashes.length; i++) { hash = hashes[i].split('='); vars.push(hash[0]); vars[hash[0]] = hash[1]; } return vars; } And then setting the value like this: var type = getUrlVars()["type"] This all works perfectly, however I have just come into a situation where I need to get multiple values, one of my form elements are checkboxes where multiple values can be checked, so my URL will look something like this: http://www.domain.com/test.php?type=1&cuisine[]=23&cuisine[]=43&name=test If I alert out the cuisine value using the function above I only ever get the final value: alert (getUrlVars()["cuisine[]"]); Would alert "43". What I would like it to be is a comma delimited string of all "cuisine" values. ie in the above example "23,43" Any help very welcome! In case any solution requires it I am using PHP 5.3 and Jquery 1.4

  • MySql: Is it reasonable to use 'view' or I would better denormalize my DB?

    - by Budda
    There is 'team_sector' table with following fields: Id, team_id, sect_id, size, level It contains few records for each 'team' entity (referenced with 'team_id' field). Each record represent sector of team's stadium (totally 8 sectors). Now it is necessary to implement few searches: by overall stadium size (SUM(size)); the best quality (SUM(level)/COUNT(*)). I could create query something like this: SELECT TS.team_id, SUM(TS.size) as OverallSize, SUM(TS.Level)/COUNT(TS.Id) AS QualityLevel FROM team_sector GROUP BY team_id ORDER BY OverallSize DESC / ORDER BY QualityLevel DESC But my concern here is that calculation for each team will be done each time on query performed. It is not too big overhead (at least now), but I would like to avoid performance issues later. I see 2 options here. The 1st one is to create 2 additional fields in 'team' table (for example) and store there OverallSize and QualityLevel fields. If information if 'sector' table is changed - update those table too (probably would be good to do that with triggers, as sector table doesn't change too often). The 2nd option is to create a view that will provide required data. The 2nd option seems much easier for me, but I don't have a lot of experience/knowledge of work with views. Q1: What is the best option from your perspective here and why? Probably you could suggest other options? Q2: Can I create view in such way that it will do calculations rarely (at least once per day)? If yes - how? Q3: Is it reasonable to use triggers for such purpose (1st option). P.S. MySql 5.1 is used, overall number of teams is around 1-2 thousand, overall number of records in sector table - overall 6-8 thousand. I understand, those numbers are pretty small, but I would like to implement the best practice here.

  • What is the best way to structure those jquery call backs?

    - by user518138
    I am new to jquery and recently have been amazed how powerful those call backs are. But here I got some logic and I am not sure what the best way is. Basically, I got a bunch of tables in web sql database in chrome. I will need to go through say table A, table B and table C. I need to submit each row of the table to server. Each row represents a bunch of complicated logic and data url and they have to be submitted in the order of A - B - C. The regular java way would be: TableA.SubmitToServer() { query table A; foreach(row in tableA.rows) { int nRetID = submitToServer(row); do other updates.... } } Similar for tableB and table C. then just call: TableA.SubmitToServer(); TableB.SubmitToServer(); TableC.SubmitToServer(); //that is very clear and easy. But in JQuery, it probably will be: db.Transaction(function (tx){ var strQuery = "select * from TableA"; tx.executeSql(strQuery, [], function (tx, result){ for(i = 0 ; i < result.rows.length; i++) { submitTableARowToServer(tx, result.rows.getItem(i), function (tx, result) { //do some other related updates based on this row from tableA //also need to upload some related files to server... }); } }, function errorcallback....) }); As you can see, there are already enough nested callbacks. Now, where should I put the process for TableB and tableC? They all need to have similar logic and they can only be called after everything is done from TableA. So, What is the best way to do this in jquery? Thanks

  • how Two elements - IMG - DIV when hover over IMG show/hide the DIV - added with hover hide/show on i

    - by Jan Fosgerau
    Im very new to the wonder that is jquery. and i just figure out how to make my img buttons show/hide with a opacity difference (as such) <script type="text/javascript"> <![CDATA[ $(".ExcommKnap").mouseover(function () { $(this).stop().fadeTo('fast', 0.5, function(){}) }); $(".ExcommKnap").mouseout(function () { $(this).stop().fadeTo('fast', 1.0, function(){}) }); ]]> </script> which is good and all. but i also need to make the button when hovered over show text just above it that is specific to that button. i made these here elements that are looped in a for each. <div style="top:10px; width:755px;text-align:right; position:absolute; "> <div id="Page-{@id}" class="headlinebox"> <xsl:value-of select="@nodeName"/> </div> </div> <a href="{umbraco.library:NiceUrl(@id)}"> <img class="ExcommKnap" src="{$media/data[@alias='umbracoFile']}" /> </a> i need to make the individual text appear when hovered over its button. hence i have the id="page-{@id}" looped out along and need to get this place in the jquery code i presume. so when i hover over a img class="ExcommKnap" it makes the correct text visible. But i need the div id="page-{id}" to be invisible to begin with on pageload and then visible when its button is being hovered over. can anyone help ?

  • jquery XML, i need .html() not .text() but not working?

    - by Xtian
    I need var long to be exported as html and not text. I know I have .text() but when I use .html() it will not work. Also if I take the .text() out when declaring the variable and it will not work in IE? The reason for this is, in the XML certain words will have html tags like or and I need those to be recognized. I thought I solved it when I took out .text() but then i looked at IE and I got nothing. $(document).ready(function(){ $.ajax({ type: "GET", url: "xml/sites.xml", dataType: "xml", success: function(xml) { $(xml).find('site').each(function(){ var id = $(this).attr('id'); var title = $(this).find('title').text(); var class =$(this).find('class').text(); $('<div class="'+class+'" id="link_'+id+'"></div>').html('<h2>'+title+'</h2>').appendTo('#page-wrap'); $(this).find('desc').each(function(){ var long = $(this).find('long'); var url = $(this).find('url').text(); $('<div class="long"></div>').html(long).appendTo('#link_'+id); $('<a href="http://'+url+'"</a>').html(url).appendTo('#link_'+id); }); }); } }); });// JavaScript Document

  • Define a positive number to be isolated if none of the digits in its square are in its cube [closed]

    - by proglaxmi
    Define a positive number to be isolated if none of the digits in its square are in its cube. For example 163 is n isolated number because 69*69 = 26569 and 69*69*69 = 4330747 and the square does not contain any of the digits 0, 3, 4 and 7 which are the digits used in the cube. On the other hand 162 is not an isolated number because 162*162=26244 and 162*162*162 = 4251528 and the digits 2 and 4 which appear in the square are also in the cube. Write a function named isIsolated that returns 1 if its argument is an isolated number, it returns 0 if its not an isolated number and it returns -1 if it cannot determine whether it is isolated or not (see the note below). The function signature is: int isIsolated(long n) Note that the type of the input parameter is long. The maximum positive number that can be represented as a long is 63 bits long. This allows us to test numbers up to 2,097,151 because the cube of 2,097,151 can be represented as a long. However, the cube of 2,097,152 requires more than 63 bits to represent it and hence cannot be computed without extra effort. Therefore, your function should test if n is larger than 2,097,151 and return -1 if it is. If n is less than 1 your function should also return -1. Hint: n % 10 is the rightmost digit of n, n = n/10 shifts the digits of n one place to the right. The first 10 isolated numbers are N n*n n*n*n 2 4 8 3 9 27 8 64 512 9 81 729 14 196 2744 24 576 13824 28 784 21952 34 1156 39304 58 3364 195112 63 3969 250047

  • table in drupal with edit link

    - by user544079
    I have a table created in drupal with the edit link pointing to the input form. But the problem is, it only displays the last row values in the $email and $comment variables. Can anyone suggest how to modify the table display to have the edit link to the corresponding records? function _MYMODULE_sql_to_table($sql) { $html = ""; // execute sql $resource = db_query($sql); // fetch database results in an array $results = array(); while ($row = db_fetch_array($resource)) { $results[] = $row; $email = $row['email']; $comment = $row['comment']; drupal_set_message('Email: '.$email. ' comment: '.$comment); } // ensure results exist if (!count($results)) { $html .= "Sorry, no results could be found."; return $html; } // create an array to contain all table rows $rows = array(); // get a list of column headers $columnNames = array_keys($results[0]); // loop through results and create table rows foreach ($results as $key => $data) { // create row data $row = array( 'edit' => l(t('Edit'),"admin/content/test/$email/$comment/ContactUs", $options=array()),); // loop through column names foreach ($columnNames as $c) { $row[] = array( 'data' => $data[$c], 'class' => strtolower(str_replace(' ', '-', $c)), ); } // add row to rows array $rows[] = $row; } // loop through column names and create headers $header = array(); foreach ($columnNames as $c) { $header[] = array( 'data' = $c, 'class' = strtolower(str_replace(' ', '-', $c)), ); } // generate table html $html .= theme('table', $header, $rows); return $html; } // then you can call it in your code... function _MYMODULE_some_page_callback() { $html = ""; $sql = "select * from {contactus}"; $html .= _MYMODULE_sql_to_table($sql); return $html; }

  • Zend Framework How can I print a logged in user name from a Zend_Session_Namespace

    - by IrishStudent76

Can I also ask the following does the line $session-user =$adaptergetResultArray('Password'); create an array of user information less the password value from the database. Many Thanks in advance, IrishStudent76 <?php class LoginController extends Zend_Controller_Action { public function init(){ $this->view->doctype('XHTML1_STRICT'); } // login action public function loginAction() { $form = new PetManager_Form_Login; $this->view->form = $form; /* check for valid input from the form and authenticate using adapter Add user record to session and redirect to the original request URL if present */ if ($this->getRequest()->isPost()) { if ($form->isValid($this->getRequest()->getPost())) { $values = $form->getValues(); $adapter = new PetManager_Auth_Adapter_Doctrine( $values['username'], $values['password'] ); $auth = Zend_Auth::getInstance(); $result = $auth->authenticate($adapter); if ($result->isValid()) { $session = new Zend_Session_Namespace('petmanager.auth'); $session->user = $adapter->getResultArray('Password'); if (isset($session->requestURL)) { $url = $session->requestURL; unset($session->requestURL); $this->_redirect($url); } else { $this->_helper->getHelper('FlashMessenger') ->addMessage('You have been successfully logged in as '.$session- >user); $this->_redirect('/login/success'); } } else { $this->view->message = 'You could not be logged in.
