    hey guys i want to write a tracking system and now i can save in my Mysql database . but saving information about each ip that visits is a huge work for mysql so i think if i could save the information in a file , then there is no discussion about database and its problems . but to begin this : i realy dont know how to save in a file in a way that i can read it with no problem and show the details this is what is used to insert into my database sql_query("insert into tracking (date_time, ip_address, hostname,referer, page , page_title) values ('".sql_quote($dt)."', '".sql_quote($ipaddr)."', '".sql_quote($hostnm)."','$referer', '".sql_quote($pg)."', '".sql_quote($pagetitle)."')", $dbi); i need to show information about all ips in rows , after saving in a file what should i do to save and show in row order ( table ) php/mysql

  • How to resolve this very heavy query that slows down the application?

    Hi, We have a web application running in a production enviroment and at some point the client complained about how slow the application got. When we checked what was going on with the application and the database we discover this "precious" query that was being executed by several users at the same time (thus inflicting a extremely high load on the database server): SELECT NULL AS table_cat, o.owner AS table_schem, o.object_name AS table_name, o.object_type AS table_type, NULL AS remarks FROM all_objects o WHERE o.owner LIKE :1 ESCAPE :"SYS_B_0" AND o.object_name LIKE :2 ESCAPE :"SYS_B_1" AND o.object_type IN(:"SYS_B_2", :"SYS_B_3") ORDER BY table_type, table_schem, table_name Our application does not execute this query, I believe it is an Hibernate internal query. I've found little information on why Hibernate does this extremely heavy query, so any help is very much appreciated! The production enviroment information: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.3 (Tikanga), JDK 1.5, web container OC4J (whitin Oracle Application Server), Oracle Database 10g Release 10.0.0.1, JDBC Driver for JDK 1.2 and 1.3, Hibernate version 3.2.6.ga.   • Will this force a reinitialize in Merge Replication Topology?

    I need to add a couple of columns to a table that is a part of a replication set. It is not a constraint coulumn or a part of any article filters and it allows NULL. I have a pretty good idea that I can run this -- ALTER TABLE tblPlanDomain ADD ReportWageES VARCHAR (100) NULL and NOT force all my clients to reinitialize but I was hoping for some reassurance.   • "Primary Filegroup is Full" in SQL Server 2008 Standard for no apparent reason

    Our database is currently at 64 Gb and one of our apps started to fail with the following error: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Could not allocate space for object 'cnv.LoggedUnpreparedSpos'.'PK_LoggedUnpreparedSpos' in database 'travelgateway' because the 'PRIMARY' filegroup is full. Create disk space by deleting unneeded files, dropping objects in the filegroup, adding additional files to the filegroup, or setting autogrowth on for existing files in the filegroup. I double-checked everything: all files in a single filegroup are allowed to autogrow with a reasonable increments (100 Mb for a data file, 10% for a log file), more than 100 Gb of free space is available for the database, tempdb is set to autogrow as well with plenty of free HDD space on its drive. To resolve a problem, I added second file to the filegroup and the error has gone. But I feel uneasy about this whole situation. Where' the problem here, guys?

    Hi All, I am using LSOpenItemsWithRole() to open any file from my appication. It works fine for all files which has a default application to get opened on Mac, but for the files which cannot be open with any default application this method returns an error kLSApplicationNotFoundErr and does nothing. For such cases I want my application to launch the "Choose Application" dialog box, so that end user can choose any application from there to open the file. This dialog box pops up whenever any such file is directly opened by double clickig. Is there is any direct API call to do the same? any help will be appreciated, Thanks in advance! Manish

  • Slow SQLite access on iPhone

    I have a quite slow data retrieval from a sqlite database on my iPhone and perhaps someone have an alternative idea to explain this. From what I tracked down so far sqlite3_step(statement) is sometimes unusually slow. While retrieving e.g. 50 rows from the database to execute this step takes normally some milliseconds but sometimes it takes several seconds. My database is not small (80MB) and my theory is that the reason is paging. But can someone else think of an other reason for this?

    I have 2 graphics cards, the output from the lspci: 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc RV770 [Radeon HD 4850] 02:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc RV710 [Radeon HD 4350] I have one monitor connected to the 4850 and 2 connected to the 4350. However when I go into System Preferences Monitors the only monitor shown is the one connected to the 4850. Is there something I need to enable for it to be able to use the other card? How do I get this to work. Thanks.     Hey guys, I've got an accordion which has the first panel opened on default by throwing in: $("h4#open").trigger('click'); (which triggers the first panel to act as if the h4 link were clicked, and thus opened...) But this seems to screw up the only way I can think of expanding / collapsing all the panels. I have this code to expand / collapse: $("a.ex-col").click(function(){ $("div.accordion div").slideToggle("slow"); return false; }); When using this, all the panels toggle open and close except any panel that happens to be open (or closed) at the time. How can I keep the default div opened on load, while also expanding / collapsing with the rest of them? Thanks.

  • How can I stop sorl thumbnail from breaking with very long filenames?

    I've noticed that when working with SORL thumbnail, sometimes a user will upload an image with a very long filename, longer than the varfield in the database can hold. The name gets truncated in the database and the project gives errors whenever the image is requested. Is there a smart and safe way to have django automatically truncate long filenames in sorl uploads (prior to saving them in the database) to prevent this sort of thing?     Seems like I'm missing something simple, but my attempts to connect to SQL Server Express have failed. I feel like I need to add privileges for my account but I'm not sure where to do it. Dev Env: VS 2010 (Web) SQL: Sql Server Express 2008 OS: XP Trying to open a connection to database returns: Cannot open database "|DataDirectory|DropData.mdf" requested by the login. The login failed. Login failed for user 'devel.' I created the database using the interface in VS 2010 (Add new item - DB File) but my ASP.Net class only covered design-time access and not access in code, so I'm not familiar with what to do. I created a user (Devel) using SQL Server Management Studio to avoid connecting as SA, but couldn't figure out how to give any SQL-level access rights to this account. Any ideas? Thanks, Cameron

    One of my Eclipse plug-ins (OSGi bundles) is supposed to contain a directory (Database Elements) of .sql files. My build.properties shows: bin.includes = META-INF/,\ .,\ Database Elements/ (...which looks right to me.) When I build and run from within my interactive Eclipse IDE, everything works fine: calls to Bundle.getEntry(String) and Bundle.findEntries(String, String, bool) return valid URL objects; my tests are happy; my code is happy. When I build via headless ant script (using PDE Build), those same calls end up returning null. My tests break; my code breaks. I find that Database Elements is quietly but simply missing from my plug-in's JAR package. (META-INF and the built classes still make it in there fine.) I scoured the build log (even eventually invoking ant -verbose on the relevant portion of the build script) but saw no mention of anything helpful. What gives?

    I have installed both phpPgAdmin and pgAdmin III on my Ubuntu 9.10 dev box. I created a server using pgAdmin III, and then added a database and populated it. I then navigated to phpPgAdmin, expecting to be able to see the server and be able to log on to the server using the postgres account. However, the only server shown 'PostgreSQL' (and it had a red cross icon). When I attempted to login using the postgres account, the following message was displayed: Login disallowed for security reasons. The connection is a trusted connection and I have <section name="errorLog" requirePermission="false" type="Elmah.ErrorLogSectionHandler, Elmah"/> in section group <errorLog type="Elmah.SqlErrorLog, Elmah" connectionStringName="Elmah.Sql" applicationName="VBCPortal"/> under elmah <add name="Elmah.Sql" connectionString="Data Source=(local);Initial Catalog=ELMAH;Trusted_Connection=True" /> in connectionStrings in my web.config file. Any idea why the errors are not getting logged into the database?

  • MySQL Select names with last names ending with certain letter

    I have a MySQL database with a field Name which contains full names. To select all people with last names ending in a particular letter, let's say A for this example, I use the following query: SELECT * FROM db WHERE Name LIKE '% A%'. However, this also selects users who have a middle name starting with A. Is there anyway to alter this query so that only a last name ending in A will be selected?
