  I'm having trouble getting my layout working correctly, I have a main div and a sidebar div these are both float: left if the screen size is resized or if its viewed on screen smaller that what I have designed on (1920x1080) then the sidebar div drops below the main content.   Currently I have this: function parse_string($string, $variables){ extract($variables); return eval('return "'. addcslashes($string, '"') .'";'); } So I can input this string: 'Hi {$name}, my name is {$own_name}' Together with this array: array('name' => 'John', 'own_name' => 'Tom') And get this back: 'Hi John, my name is Tom'   I've never liked this eval() approach but it works and it's fast (faster than regex at least). Question: Is there a more elegant way to do this (faster than using regex) in PHP5?

  Hiya, In the Django admin I'd like the ability to edit my models referenced by foreign keys In-Line. I've read all the instructions, added a TabularInline object and my models are displayed there. All looks great, however, I only have the option to add new models and not an option to edit existing. Is there something I've been missing? All the documentation suggests the In-Line models are there to allow you to edit referenced models In-Line, however - all I can see is Add. Any help would be much appreciated!

  Hi, I always thought that functions like printf() are in the last step defined using inline assembly. That deep into stdio.h is burried some asm code that actually tells CPU what to do. Something like in dos, first mov bagining of the string to some memory location or register and than call some int. But since x64 version of Visual Studio doesent support inline assembler at all, it made me think that there are really no assembler-defined functions in C/C++. So, please, how is for example printf() defined in C/C++ without using assembler code? What actually executes the right software interrupt? Thanks.

• Changing the block size of a dfs file in Hadoop

  I found that my map tasks is currently inefficient when parsing one particular set of files (total 2 TB). I'd like to change the block size of files in the Hadoop dfs (from 64MB to 128 MB). I can't find how to do it in the documentation for only one set of files and not the entire cluster, does anyone know the command that would change the block size when I upload it (ie copy from local to the dfs)? In a link in my aspx, this works: ' title='<%# Container.DataItem["EventTime"].ToString() But the above contains the date portion of the string. This does not work (nor does any variant of it): ' title='<%# Container.DataItem["EventTime"].ToString("hh:mm:ss tt", CultureInfo.InvariantCulture) % Evantually, we want the title/hover for the link to read something like "4:30 PM : @Forbes Field" Everything is working with the exception of the 1/1/1900 being in front of the 4:30 How do I get the date off that EventTime datetime field?
