    I want to use jquery Chili plugin for syntax highlighting a piece of code thats generated on the fly, but its not working for the same, because the code is inserted into the #output div on page load. Example: Facebook pictures are on "photos-a.ak.fbcdn.net" Why is that? Is there a performance-gain in not having lots of subdomains on the "primary" domain (facebook.com)

  • Is it possible to searchusing type information in visual studio

    It comes up from time to time and I'm wondering of it's possible to use type info when searching in visual studio, or is there a plugin that includes this? I'd like to search for the phrase "x == " or "x.ToString();" where x is of type 'Person'. The normal regex searches are strictly searching the text as opposed to the content and I figured out a long time ago that any thought I have is never the first.

  • Git - git add in a gitignore directory

    If my .gitignore file has tmp\ in it and I do a git add file.test from tmp, Git adds file.test to the repository. If file.test never changes, than this is as good as a one time add to the repository, right? Say for static files that I want to be in version control. You want the file in an initial clone and that's it. I assume file.test doesn't get tracked, so if there are updates, Git doesn't see it as modified?

    I'd like to implement a custom command to capture a Backspace key gesture inside of a textbox, but I don't know how. I wrote a test program in order to understand what's going on, but the behaviour of the program is rather confusing. Basically, I just need to be able to handle the Backspace key gesture via wpf commands while keyboard focus is in the textbox, and without disrupting the normal behaviour of the Backspace key within the textbox.     It's becoming evident in my testing that there's a 5mb size limit on Mobile Safari's implementation of HTML5's application cache. Does anyone know how to circumvent or raise this? Is there some unexposed meta tag that I should know about? I have to cache some video content for an offline app and 5mb is not going to be enough.

    We build software using Hudson and Maven. We have C#, java and last, but not least PL/SQL sources (sprocs, packages, DDL, crud) For C# and Java we do unit tests and code analysis, but we don't really know the health of our PL/SQL sources before we actually publish them to the target database. Requirements There are a couple of things we wan't to test in the following priority: Are the sources valid, hence "compilable"? For packages, with respect to a certain database, would they compile? Code Quality: Do we have code flaws like duplicates, too complex methods or other violations to a defined set of rules? Also, the tool must run head-less (commandline, ant, ...) we wan't to do analysis on a partial code base (changed sources only) Tools We did a little research and found the following tools that could potencially help: Cast Application Intelligence Platform (AIP): Seems to be a server that grasps information about "anything". Couldn't find a console version that would export in readable format. Toad for Oracle: The Professional version is said to include something called Xpert validates a set of rules against a code base. Sonar + PL/SQL-Plugin: Uses Toad for Oracle to display code-health the sonar-way. This is for browsing the current state of the code base. Semantic Designs DMSToolkit: Quite general analysis of source code base. Commandline available? Semantic Designs Clones Detector: Detects clones. But also via command line? Fortify Source Code Analyzer: Seems to be focussed on security issues. But maybe it is extensible? more... So far, Toad for Oracle together with Sonar seems to be an elegant solution. But may be we are missing something here? Any ideas? Other products? Experiences?     I have a system where a remote agent sends serialized structures (from and embedded C system) for me to read and store via IP/UDP. In some cases I need to send back the same structure types. I thought I had a nice setup using Marshal.PtrToStructure (receive) and Marshal.StructureToPtr (send). However, a small gotcha is that the network big endian integers need to be converted to my x86 little endian format to be used locally. When I'm sending them off again, big endian is the way to go.
