  • Installing VSTO 4.0 Causes VSTO 3.0 Addin to quit working

    I just installed Visual Studio 2010 yesterday. As part of that I installed VSTO 4.0. Now when I run any Office application, my VSTO 3.0 addins fail to load. The error in the event log is Customization URI: file:///H:/PathToMyAddin/MyAddin.vsto Exception: Customization does not have the permissions required to create an application domain. ***** Exception Text ******* Microsoft.VisualStudio.Tools.Applications.Runtime.CannotCreateCustomizationDomainException: Customization does not have the permissions required to create an application domain. --- System.Security.SecurityException: Customized functionality in this application will not work because the administrator has listed file:///H:/PathToMyAddin/MyAddin.vsto as untrusted.   • How does one close a Popup in Silverlight 3 by pressing the Escape key?

    I've just implemented a context menu control in Silverlight 3. One feature lacking in this control is for the Esc key to dismiss the menu. I've tried adding a KeyUp event handler in a few places, but the handler is never called. It looks like KeyUp is only available for items that can have focus. The popup menu cannot have focus, however, as it is only an ItemsControl. Have any of you successfully implemented having the Esc key close a Popup, or do you have any other suggestions on how I can implement this behavior?

  • Understanding RTF and edit it with vb.net

    I have this RichTextbox in my vb.net form and I would like to when a user click a button, for example to embold the selected text, how would I do this. Also, I do NOT want to use the standard vb.net expressions such as RichTextBox1.SelectedText.Font.Bold = true. I want to do something like RichTextbox1.SelectedRTF="[bold]" & RichTextBox1.SelectedRTF & "[/bold]" or whatever RTF looks like. Can I just add the RTF options random places or can a RichTextBox return an error if the text is in wrong format. I'm mostly looking for info on how to work with RTF without using the standard vb expressions. Thank you very much for any help provided

  • Cognos 8.3 - date prompt macro problem

    In Report Studio 8.3, I've got this raw SQL query running against a MySQL 5.1 data source: SELECT enc.encounterID, enc.date FROM enc WHERE enc.date between #prompt('textPromptStartDate')# AND #prompt('textPromptEndDate', 'date')# This produces text prompts for the user. If the user enters dates into these prompts in the format of 'YYYY-MM-DD', e.g. '2010-01-15', the query works fine. But I want to replace the text prompts with proper Date prompts. When I try replacing the above prompts with #prompt('datePromptStartDate', 'date') AND #prompt('datePromptEndDate', 'date')# the query runs (no errors are generated), but I get an empty result set. I have a feeling I need to adjust the date format that the date prompt macro returns, but I'm stuck after many hours of experimentation as to how to debug this.

    I'm receiving this error message: Cannot open database \"Northwind\" requested by the login. The login failed.\r\nLogin failed for user 'Mike\Mike Simpson' When i try to add the user, which is me. Then sql server says Msg 15063, Level 16, State 1, Line 1 The login already has an account under a different user name. HEre is my connection string: "Data Source=Localhost;Initial Catalog=Northwind;Integrated Security=True" I'm using SSMS not SQL Server express I don't know what else I should do. This application used to work before i zipped it up. Thanks!

My only idea is that maybe the argument in the controller is not supposed to be of type string when using a DropDownList, but this is really just a guess. Thanks in advance.

    I recently started working for a web firm as a freelancer taking my hobby of coding in PHP to a career level, and since then I have been overwhelmed by the amount of work that needs to be done within short time frames. The problem isn't being able to do what is asked, but being able to do it all as quickly as is needed of me. I never used any PHP frameworks, but if I started using one, would that speed up the entire development process? If so, how drastically? Also which framework would be best for my purpose? If it matters, what I do is mostly build back end cms's and tie that with front end functionality for small business client sites.

  • Android: Saving custom button and spinner on orientation change

    Hello All, I am new to Android programming and was handed a fairly large program that is almost complete, but needed support for switching between portrait and landscape view. I added android:configChanges="keyboardHidden|orientation" to the manifest and used onConfigurationChanged to save the view data and that works. However, there is a button that displays the date selected (when pressed a calendar to select the date comes up) and a spinner that displays the current view and is used to select a new view. Those two items are being cleared/reset and do not work at all after the screen flip. I have been attempting to use onSaveInstanceState and onRestoreInstanceState to fix that, but I cannot figure out how to get it to work. Any advice?     I know the bits just came out today, but one of the first things I want to do with the newly released Windows Mobile 7 SDK is put a map up on the screen and mess around. I've downloaded the latest version of the Silverlight Maps Control and added the references to my application. As a matter of fact, the VS 2010 design view of the MainPage.xaml shows the map control after adding the namespace and placing the control. I'm using the provided VS 2010 Express version that comes with the Win Mobile 7 SDK and have just used the New Project - Windows Phone Application template. When I try to build I get two warnings related to the Microsoft.Maps.MapControl dll's. Warning 1 The primary reference "Microsoft.Maps.MapControl, Version=1.0.1.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=498d0d22d7936b73, processorArchitecture=MSIL" could not be resolved because it has an indirect dependency on the framework assembly "System.Windows.Browser, Version=2.0.5.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=7cec85d7bea7798e" which could not be resolved in the currently targeted framework.   • Running multiprocess applications from MATLAB

    I've written a multitprocess application in VC++ and tried to execute it with command line arguments with the system command. It runs, but only on one core --- any suggestions? Update:In fact, it doesn't even see the second core. I used OpenMP and used omp_get_max_threads() and omp_get_thread_num() to check and omp_get_max_threads() seems to be 1 when I execute the application from MATLAB but it's 2 (as is expected) if I run it from the command window.

    Hi, Is there a way I can delete an image that is loaded into my app from a UIImagePickerController? I want to be able to delete the image from the user's photo library when the user performs a specific action. I am prompting the user to choose a image from their library, then it gets loaded into my app at which point the app does some shnazzy animation, then actually deletes the image. Please help!

  • UIBarButtonItem: target-action not working?

    Hey fellas, I've got a custom view inside of a UIBarButtonItem, set by calling -initWithCustomView. OK, so the view renders fine, but when I tap it, it doesn't call the method that I set as the UIBarButtonItem's action property. Oh, and I have verified that my -deselectAll method works fine.   • emacs elisp buffer not running font lock mode until opened by user

    My problem is I am opening a buffer using (set-buffer (find-tag-noselect (current-word))) and then I try to copy some text out of that buffer. The text that I get back has only the properties (fontified nil). find-tag-noselect automatically opens the buffer found in the TAGS file but it seems it does not run the font lock mode over it. When I manually switch to this buffer after it has been opened and then run the function again when it copies the text it has all the correct text properties attached. So what do I need to do to have this buffer completely initialized so that the correct syntax highlighting will be copied in?

  • iPhone smooth move and pinch of UIImageView

    I have an image view that I'm wanting to be able to move around, and pinch to stretch it. It's all working, but it's kinda jumpy when I start to do any pinch movements. In the beginning i just added it to the layout programmatically, but i figured i could try putting it into the XML layout instead (for consistency).     I'am using wrapper to get some data from table users IQueryable<StarGuestWrapper> WhereQuery = session.Linq<User>().Where(u => u.HomeClub.Id == clubId && u.IsActive).Select( u => new StarGuestWrapper() { FullName = u.Name + " " + u.LastName, LoginTime = DateTime.Now, MonthsAsMember = 2, StarRating = 1, UserPicture = u.Photo.PhotoData, InstructorFullName = "Someone Xyz", TalkInteractionDuringSession = true, GoalInteractionDuringSession = false }); I use this without a problem as a IQueryable so I can do useful things before actually running the query. Like : WhereQuery.Skip(startRowIndex).Take(maximumRows).ToList(); and so on. The problem occurs using 'where' statement on query. For example: WhereQuery.Where(s => s.StarRating == 1) will throw an exception in runtime that 'StarRating' doesn't exist in User table - of course it doesn't it's a wrappers property. I will work if I materialize query by WhereQuery.AsEnumerable().Where(s => s.StarRating == 1) but then it loses all the sens of using IQueryable and I don't want to do this. What is strange and interesting that not all properties from wrapper throw error, all the bool values can be used in where statement. Example : WhereQuery.Where(s => s.TalkInteractionDuringSession) It works in EntityFramework , why do I get this error in NHibernate and how to get it working the way I want it to ?

    Hello All, I have what should be an easy question for you today. I have two radio buttons in my view: Sex: <%=Html.RadioButton("Sex", "Male", true)% Male <%=Html.RadioButton("Sex", "Female", true)% Female I need to select one based on the value returned from my database. The way I am trying to do it now is: ViewData["Sex"] = data.Sex; //Set radio button But that is not working. I have tried every possible combination of isChecked properties. I know that data.Sex is returning either "Male" or "Female". What do I need to do to check the appropriate radio button?
