• How can a multi-select-list be edited using asp.net mvc?

  I'd like to edit an object like the one below. I'd like the UsersSelectedList populated with one or more Users from the UsersGrossList. Using the standard edit-views in mvc, I get only strings and booleans (not shown below) mapped. Many of the examples I find on google utilizes early releases of the mvc framework whereas I use the official 1.0 release. • Android TranslateAnimation resets after animation

  I'm creating something like a SlideDrawer but with most customization, basically the thing is working but the animation is flickering at the end. To further explain, I got an TranslateAnimation then after this animation it returns back to the original position, if i set setFillAfter then the buttons inside the layout stops working. If i listen to onAnimationEnd and set other's layout to View.GONE the layout fickers. Judging from it is that on animation end, the view goes back to original position before the View.GONE is called. Any advice would be awesome. Thanks

  Hi, In a C# WebBrowser control, I have generated a SELECT HtmlElement with a number of OPTION elements using w.RenderBeginTag(HtmlTextWriterTag.Select). I need to get the value of the select when the user changes it, and so added an event handler in the WebBrowser DocumentCompleted event. private void webBrowser1_DocumentCompleted(object sender, WebBrowserDocumentCompletedEventArgs e) { .... webBrowser1.Document.GetElementById("id_select_0").AttachEventHandler("onchange", new EventHandler(ddSelectedIndexChanged)); .... } protected void ddSelectedIndexChanged(object sender, EventArgs e) { .... } The event handler does get called, but the sender parameter is null and e is empty. Does anyone know how to overcome this problem? Andrew

• jQuery tabs: Post previously selected tab when opening a new one

  Hi Having two forms, each in it's own jQuery UI tab, how can I post the form in the deselected tab when clicking a new tab? This I need to do to maintain state at the server side when the user navigates between tabs. I have looked into something like $('#tab-container-id').bind('tabsselect', function(event, ui) { ... }); but haven't found a way to get to the tab being hidden and post it's form contents. One way to set this up would be to enclose the whole tab set inside a form element that would be submitted whenever a tab is selected but I would rather have a form inside each tab, each with it's own action (that gets bound to different Spring MVC command objects). Thanks for any hints...

  Hello, Is there a way to modify the HTTP response code when using apache axis 1.4 for java? This would be useful for testing purposes, for example simulating server side errors. I've already tried the following: Set the HTTP code directly in the http servlet Request: MessageContext context = MessageContext.getCurrentContext(); HttpServletResponse response = (HttpServletResponse) context.getProperty( HTTPConstants.MC_HTTP_SERVLETRESPONSE); response.setStatus(e.getErrorCode()); // no effect Set the HTTP code as axis message context property: MessageContext context = MessageContext.getCurrentContext(); context.setProperty(HTTPConstants.MC_HTTP_STATUS_CODE, e.getErrorCode()); But this didn't seem to work, the actual HTTP code always was 200. • django modelformset - one form per related table row

  Hello, I have two models: class Model1(): name = CharField() url = CharField() class Model2(): model1 = ForeignKey(Model1) user = ForeignKey(User) zzz = CharField() There are 5 rows for model1 in the database, these are fixed and will rarely change. I need to display a formset for model2 that allows users to enter the zzz value, the formset must always show one form per row in the model1 table, the label for each form in the formset must be the name of the related model1. If the user deletes a model2 in the formset the next time the page loads it will render an empty zzz value for that form and the user must be able to edit the previous zzz value - meaning it must be pre populated with all model2 rows associated with the user. The idea is to print each row in the model1 table as a form instead of the user selecting the related model1 name in a select box. I know its not that complicated, but I'm seriously stumped and keep going round in circles!! Many thanks in advance.   I can't get NVelocity to initialize. I'm not trying to do anything complicated, so it's just fine if it initializes at the defaults, but it won't even do that. This: VelocityEngine velocity = new VelocityEngine(); ExtendedProperties props = new ExtendedProperties(); velocity.Init(props); Results in: "It appears that no class was specified as the ResourceManager..." So does this: VelocityEngine velocity = new VelocityEngine(); velocity.Init(); I can find precious little documentation on what the properties should be, nor how to get it to initialize with the simple defaults. Can anyone point to a resource? A lot of pages point back to this page: http://www.castleproject.org/others/nvelocity/usingit.html But this page skips over the (seemingly) most important point -- how to set the properties and what to set them to. I just want to load a simple template from a file.

  I have created a winform for the users to view view the many reports I am creating for them. I have a drop down list with the report name which triggers the appropriate fields to display the parameters. Once those are filled, they press Submit and the report appears. This works the first time they hit the screen. They can change the parameters and the ReportViewer works fine. Change to a different report, and the I get the following ReportViewer error: An error occurred during local report processing. An error has occurred during the report processing. A data source instance has not been supplied for the data source "CgTempData_BusMaintenance". As far as the process I use: I set reportName (string) the physical RDLC name. I set the dataSource (string) as the DataSource Name I fill a generic DataTable with the data for the report to run from. Make the ReportViewer visible Set the LocalReport.ReportPath = "Reports\\" = reportName; Clear the LocalReport.DataSources.Clear() Add the new LocalReport.DataSources.Add(new ReportDataSource(dataSource, dt)); RefreshReport() on the ReportViewer. The Immediate Window shows the message "Stepping over method without symbols 'Some.Namespace.Here'" How can i make sure the method always has symbols?! I need to step into every line of code. I am pressing F8 (which is "Step Into" in VS2008, from memory i think it used to be F11 in VS2005). This debugger stuff has always confused me: At the Solution level Property Pages i see a configuration dropdown with 4 values: Active (Debug), Debug, Release, All Configurations. - currently set to "Active (Debug)" At the Project level, i see a configuration dropdown with 2 values: Debug, Release. - currently set to "Debug"

• Initializing links in jqtouch in AJAX loaded content

  I have an iphone web app built in jqtouch, when content is loaded by links ("a" tags) then any content on the next page is parsed by jqtouch and any links are initialized. However, when I load content via an AJAX call and append() it to an element then any links in that content are NOT initialized by jqtouch. Thus any clicks on those links are full-blown clicks to a new resource and are not handled by jqtouch, so at that point you've effectively broken out of jqtouch. • Roll up project-level tasks to the project collection portal in TFS2010

  I have a Project Collection setup in my TFS2010RC deployment. I have two Projects setup under this collection with their own task lists, which are populated with data. I fully expected the tasks from these individual projects to "roll up" and appear in the task list at the Project Collection level, but they do not. The Project Collection task list is empty. Basically, I'm looking to provide a view so a supervisor could see all tasks across projects quickly and easily. I'm sure I could write a reporting services report, but it seems like this is something so basic that it would have been included and it just need to be turned on or something. I'm sure I'm probably missing something really simple here. Thanks.

  in (void) webViewDidFinishLoad: (UIWebView*)webView I inject some javascript to handle the iframes. e.g. stringByEvaluatingJavaScriptFromString: @"try { var document = window.document.getElementsByTagName('iframe')[0].contentWindow.document.getElementsByTagName('frame'); } catch (e) { alert (e.message); }" It tells me the iframes document is undefined. Actually I have tried to print all the properties of contentWindow of iframe, but it's totally empty. I know the webViewDidFinishLoad may be called several times for each frame load. But I can never get the iframe document. I thought there should be at least once all the iframes are ready. Could someone please tell me how to get the iframe document to process the dom in the uiwebview? Thanks

  Hi I'm trying to deploy an ASP.NET MVC 2 app using MSDeploy. I use VS2010 to generate the package as a ZIP. Inside that ZIP is a parameters.xml file that declares the parameters that I can set. I want to be able to set more parameters, using the auto-generated deploy.cmd file like this: MySite.deploy.cmd "-setParam:name='IIS Web Application Name',value=MySite" "-setParam:name=IisVirtualDirectoryPhysicalPath,value=C:\inetpub\MySite" "-setParam:name=httpBinding,value=*:80:www.mysite.dk" That works fine, except for the httpBinding param. That is because that parameter is not declared inside the parameters.xml file that is added to the ZIP container. I could go and add that parameter declaration manually, but isn't there a way to do it from the command line and have it declare parameters I have in another XML file?

  I have a project I'm working on and this seems like the simplest thing in the world, but the +[NSURL fileURLWithPath:] factory method is returning a strange URL. I created an empty sample project to isolate the problem and in my app delegate's applicationDidFinishLaunching: method I have this simple code: NSString *path = [@"~/Documents" stringByExpandingTildeInPath]; NSURL *url = [NSURL fileURLWithPath:path]; NSLog(@"%@ | %@", path, url); and the NSLog result looks like this: /Users/myusername/Documents | file://localhost/Users/myusername/Documents/ when I would expect the URL to be file:///Users/myusername/Documents. Any thoughts on why this is behaving like this? (10.6.3 in case it matters.)

  Ok, as per ActiveMQ docs, it appears that Message.getJMSTimestamp() returns time that client claims it sent the message (with its local clock). And that there is supposedly property "JMSActiveMQBrokerInTime" that is added to Message (see http://activemq.apache.org/activemq-message-properties.html). However, trying to access it on an ActiveMQ 4.1.2 installation gives an error. Does anyone know if this is something that was only added in 5.0 or later? Or is there some other explanation as to where it might have disappeared? Message.getPropertyNames() returns empty enumeration, which could indicate that nothing gets through.

• Creating static NAT blocks outbound traffic Cisco ASA

  Hi Everyone, I have two web servers sitting behind a Cisco ASA 5505, which I don't have much experience with. I'm trying to create two static NATs. One static NAT that goes to xx.xx.xx.150 and another that goes to xx.xx.xx.151. I've created the static NAT for the .150 web server and it works FINE. Incoming and outgoing traffic work great. This is the staging web server. I now need to duplicate the setup for the production web server. So, I connect the webserver to the firewall, change the public IP address on one of the NICs reboot the server and I have outbound internet access. Then I run the command: static (inside,outside) xx.xx.xx.150 192.168.1.x which is successful. I then run the command: access-list acl-outside permit tcp any host xx.xx.xx.150 eq 80 Which is successful. I then try to browse the internet and I get nothing. I try to telnet in through port 80 and I get nothing (though I'm guessing because the response to the telnet request is being blocked). I've tried this with the production web server and then I tried it with another web server that is for internal testing and have the exact same problem. Both work fine until I run the static NAT rule and then no outbound internet access. I have a feeling that it's something simple that I'm missing, but my limited experience with this device is killing me. Below I've pasted the current configuration. I'm currently trying to get this to work on the .153 server which is the internal testing server. • What is the easiest way to deploy a MVC2 application from Visaul Studio 2010 to IIS 7.5?

  I´ve tried a couple of different ways to deploy a application to a IIS 7.5 running on my machine for testing purposes and i´ve sort of hit a wall. Nothing works out of the box. Everything assumes I have knowledge I don't have and would prefer not to have to aqquire. Google isn't really helping either with answers ranging from "copy files by hand" to "install teamcity and set it up for CI". I have set up TeamCity for java projects before and it's really over kill for my needs at the moment. So anyone know of a fast, simple and easy way to deploy a application during testing/building?

• Telerik RadEditor for MOSS - How do I suppress min-width inline CSS?

  I'm having an issue with the RadEditor for MOSS, I'm really baffled as to the source of this issue. I tried using Firebug to find where any min-* CSS settings are happening and search came up empty, but I know it's happening because the downloaded page markup does not have that inline CSS. I believe that one of the Telerik control emitted Javascripts is what is adding inline CSS style to the top level div of the editor, namely min-height, min-width. This is causing layout issues on my page.   Hi, I am having problems with my universal app. I have set the Base SDK to iPhone 3.2 and set the target to 3.1. I have moved the files that are using the UIPopoverController to their own files and they shouldn't be loaded when loading the app on the iPhone.   I have a member function in a class that has a callback, but the callback isn't strictly neccessary, so it has a default callback, which is empty. It seems to work fine, but I get an annoying warning: warning: converting from ‘void (ClassName::*)()’ to ‘void (*)()’ I'm trying to figure out what it means and how to turn it off (or fix it if I really am doing something wrong). • Using WPFPerf to profile a WPF 4.0 application doesn't show me any information

  I am trying to use WPFPerf to profile a WPF 4.0 application (I have the latest WPFPerf that should work on WPF 4.0 aps). I start the tool Visual Profiler from WPFPerf, I start my aplication, but after that nothing happens and the element tree from the Visual Profiler is empty. No other error message is shown. Can anyone tell me what am I not doint right? As an additional information, when I try to analize my .exe assembly or any other assembly from my application, I get a BadFormatException saying that the assembly was build with a newer version of .NET. From the download page http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=191420 I see that this version of WPFPerf should be ok for my app
