• Disabling/removing the Team Foundation addin/extension in Visual Studio 2010?

  I have an older laptop that I won't get around to replacing for another month or two. It has 1GB of memory so I'm trying to squeeze applications as much as possible. In Visual Studio 2010, it has apparently loaded some extensions related to Team Foundation Server, since I have menu items and dialog choices for it. Questions: Would I save a noticable amount of memory (even a couple of MB would be good) if I managed to disable this? How do I disable it?

  I have managed to make a hello world JBox2D application, and it works (I have some bouncing balls). However, I just read a comment on a forum post, which claims that JBox2D produces a lot of garbage, and so causes animation to be poor. Is this true? If yes, then what other 2D engines are available to me? I would very much like to use a physics engine for my 2D game, even if it's just a very simple one.

• wix sfxca binding to CLR v 2.0 instead of v4.0

  Iam building managed custom actions using .net 4.0, but when i package the installer and run it,it fails giving me "assembly is built by newer version" error. In the install log I can also see that the SfxCA is binding to v2.0 instead of 4.0, how can i configure it so it loads the v 4.0 version many thanks

  I have a wall application using WebRTC DataChannels. In the code I've managed to work out the connection, but I'm not getting notified when a peer disconnects. • Missing Required Gems - javan-whenever and cron job in rails

  Hi, I have finally managed to get javan-whenever gem working on my site5 server, and updating the crontab is quite easy, however whenever a cron job is run with the code that is generated, i get a "missing required gems" error where it lists about 8/10 of my gems. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, what would the solution be. The funny thing is that when it outputs where my gems are, this is all correct, and the gems are loading fine from within my application. Cheers, Matenia

  I know that the static objects in .Net managed world are loaded in Loader Heap which is never going to be garbage collected. What happens to the instance reference parameters passed to a static methods. Are they get garbage collected once the static function executed completely Or they are going to live forever as those instance reference variables are once passed to static method?   Hello, I believe this question has been asked a lot of times, and I have managed to overcome this problem before whenever it occurred. Just now, I feel stuck with it and can't find a proper solution to make it work in all browsers: it does work properly only in Firefox, while in IE and Safari its elements are somehow apart from each other. • Explicit Event add/remove, misunderstood?

  I've been looking into memory management a lot recently and have been looking at how events are managed, now, I'm seeing the explicit add/remove syntax for the event subscription. I think it's pretty simple, add/remove just allows me to perform other logic when I subscribe and unsubscribe? Am I getting it, or is there more to it?
