  • 2 Templates to one SharePoint Library, Default templates

    Ok, I'm not a script writer, otherwise I'd have this automated already. I need a quick assist in the most basic steps possible. I have a SharePoint form library using InfoPath based forms. I have a "Public" template for my customers which submits to a "Private" library, through very granulated permissions so they cannot view the library. The Private library has it's own template based on the original Public template. This way I can transition one form's information seamlessly to the new template. The new Private template would have all of the internal details that we do not want the customer to see, but also all information fron the customer-filled Public form. Is there any way to default all items opened from the Private library to use the Private Template, even though they were submitted form the Public template?

  • .htaccess - RewriteRules working, but browser address bar displaying full (unfriendly) URL

    Hey there, Haven't been able to find a solution to this around the net or these forums - apologise if I've missed something! My .htaccess RewriteRules are working well - have search-engine and user -friendly links in my web pages, and unfriendly database URLs running hidden in the background. Except when I added a RewriteRule to add "www." to the front of URLs if the user didn't enter it - to ensure only one appears in search engines. Here's what now happening, and I can't figure out why!   • WRT54G - how use port forwarding and VNC

    Since I have my home network behind a WRT54G, the router has an external "real" IP address, and the PCs behind it have 192.168.xxx.xxx addresses. I would like to be able to control one of them remotely - preferably using UltraVNC, but I am open to suggestions. Since I can't directly address that PC from the internet, I figured I could address a port on my router and have the traffic forwarded to the PC (and the same in the reverse direction). Is that feasible? Can anyone tell me how to do it (or point me to an URL that does)? Thanks

  • Gnome-Applets Package Causing Gnome to Segfault

    When I boot ubuntu I get a bunch of windows saying "The panel encountered a problem while loading: OAFIID:GNOME_ShowDesktopApplet", with a bunch of others(5) besides ShowDesktopApplet. I am able to launch a terminal, and I do have the taskbar at the top, although the bar at the bottom that holds the windows is blank, so when I minimize a window it disappears. Furthermore, when I try to launch most applications (firefox for example) it segfaults. I have googled the error but it seems to be common but general issue, and a lot of the solutions that worked for others didn't work for me. I tried deleting the gconf, gnome, and gnome2 folders in my home directory. I tried deleting a bunch of the gnome folders (although I might have done this wrong, I was confused as to which ones). I have also tried to use apt-get and dpkg to re-install ubuntu-desktop and gnome-applets. However, when I try apt-get install ubuntu-desktop I get errors regarding /var/cache/apt/archives/gnome-applets_2.28.0-0ubunt2_amd64.deb I tried dpkg --configure -a and interestingly I get Package gnome-applets is not installed. When I try to use apt-get to install it, that same pesky problem pops up error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/gnome-applets_2.28.0-0ubunt2_amd64.deb (--unpack) subprocess new post-removal script returned error exist status 245 sub process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code(1) This file has been popping up with regards to a lot of the solutions suggested I see. Any ideas?

  • How is this word document encoded?

    Hi all, We have a program that was written for us by a developer that we can no longer contact, the program opens word documents (forms) that we use in our company, you can tell they are Word documents as the 'Word' toolbar displays with this custom program and we can see the .doc files on the hard drive, the Save button is disabled in the program and when we open the .doc files in word the encoding is not standard as the forms are unreadable but look perfect in the custom program. If we can word out how he has done this we can hopefully convert the 100's of forms that we use. One of the .doc files can be download below, I've scanned it for viruses, it's clean.     Hi, well I have my users table and my department table, so I have in XAML a Datagrid and a Dataform, in my dataform i have a combobox that is filled from the department table (all possible departments), I bind it to the Department attribute from my user, and it shows it. The problem is that when I click the edit button of the dataform the combobox goes blank... if i cancel the edit it goes back to the department of the user. Another thing is if i edit the user and choose a department when i commit the edit it works and when i edit that same user the combobox doesnt go blank now ... but for the other users it does if i havent specifically choosen the department in the combobox.

    I am new to Linux and trying to set up a server. For this project I need some additional software, but how to install the software I'm interested in is not always obvious. For example, this was my experience with a PHP package called htscanner: There is no installation guide on the website. The website says that the version I used did not have any dependencies, but this is incorrect. "Release 0.8.1: No dependencies registered." There is no configuration guide on the website. After I managed to get it installed it still didn't work. I decided to just uninstall it and find a better solution. Uninstalling isn't straightforward; the best answer I got is to manually look for the files and delete them. What are the basic concepts of installing and uninstalling software on Linux? How is this supposed to work?

    I get this error when I have VM running in VMWare Workstation on my work PC and try Remote Desktop-ing in from my iMac at home. I just upgraded VMWare Workstation to 7.0 from 6.0 and now I'm getting it when I try to resume my VM at work. It then asks me the scary question of whether I want to preserve or discard the suspended state. I don't want to lose stuff! ack! Update I backed up my VM and tried hitting that "discard" button and the result was a reboot of the VM. I then tried restoring to a snapshot, and none of my snapshots work! Is there anyway to fix this so I can run 7 but still have my old snapshots? The frame buffer layout of the current display cannot be made to match the frame buffer layout stored in the snapshot. The dimensions of the frame buffer in the snapshot are: Max width 3200, Max height 1770, Max size 22659072. The dimensions of the frame buffer on the current display are: Max width 3200, Max height 1600, Max size 20512768. Error encountered while trying to restore the virtual machine state from file "C:\Documents and Settings\adam\My Documents\My Virtual Machines\dev\Windows XP Professional.vmss". What do I do so I don't break things horribly?

I want to organize my mp3 directories, but any copied file loses its reference from itunes library, thus, when I add it to itunes again, it'll have no rating data.   • Windows7 and Virtual PC guest copy/paste intermittent delay

    I've been using Virtual PC for some time now and have not had any issues with copy and paste until I upgraded my host to Windows7 64-bit. After the upgrade sometimes when I copy and paste some text there is like a 15-20 second delay before it completes, this is very frustrating when I'm trying to get my work done. The problem seems to be intermittent in nature, it seems to occur when I have not done a copy paste for a while. After the delay occurs copy and paste seem to work at normal speed until I don't copy and paste for a good length of time. My question is, is there any solutions or patches that can fix this copy/paste issue for virtual PC running in a 64-bit windows7 host?

  • svn: unknown hostname for hostname that does indeed exist

    I am running a centos 5 image on the vmware player and as of recently, I was able to check out from a repository that is no longer working. I am now getting: svn: Unknown hostname 'www.kennykong.com' It is a valid hostname and I know this because I have this svn location on Windows and I can browse/checkout no problem. After doing some searching I have (mostly blindly) assumed it's a DNS error because for i in 'grep nameserver /etc/resolv.conf | cut -d " " -f 2' ; do dig @$i domain.com ; done returns done ; <<>> DiG 9.3.6-P1-RedHat-9.3.6-4.P1.el5 <<>> @192.168.1.1 domain.com ; (1 server found) ;; global options: printcmd ;; connection timed out; no servers could be reached I am unsure what to do from here to get my centos to recognize more servers

  • After forced quit, “killall Finder” says “No matching processes…” but PID still exists?

    Here's one for ya. Upon a forced quit of the Finder with unsuccessful relaunch, "killall Finder" in terminal returns: "No matching processes belonging to you were found" Oddly enough, the PID for finder does actually show up after a "ps -A" to reveal all processes. But the time is perpetually listed as 0:00:00, upon repeated PID listings. I tried the following to manually launch it: open /System/Library/CoreServices/Finder.app But it puked: LSOpenFromURLSpec() failed with error -600 for the file /System/Library/CoreServices/Finder.app. Any other ideas on a Finder relaunch that don't involve rebooting? (I usually have 6 spaces open at once, each with a handful of apps and it's a pain reloading them all.)

  • DVD-ROM: Pioneer DVD-115GA not being detected.

    Specs to put things in context: AMD Athlon XP 2400+ @ 2.00 GHz / 2 x 512 MB PC-3200 DDR RAM / 160 GB IDE HDD / 128 MB GeForce 6200 AGP / FIC AM37 / Windows XP Pro SP3 So this computer is actually an upgraded EMachines T2482. I found a used DVD-ROM for cheap... the Pioneer DVD-115GA. I originally had a plain DVD Reader (Lite-On XJ-HD166S) which was quite useless. So I basically did a simple swap of the drive and powered up the computer. The drive could open and close, and I put in a DVD and it was spinning, but no detection. Going into the BIOS, the drive was not detected. (The IDE cable connecting the DVD-ROM is connected to the CD-ROM below it and then attached to the secondary IDE port on the motherboard.) So I started all the way up and tried to scan for hardware changes in Computer Management. Still, nothing. I have the software downloaded from the Pioneer site, and that couldn't detect anything. So what else can I try to hopefully get my DVD-ROM recognized by the BIOS? Thanks in advance!

    I have a new iMac with OS X 10.7 (Lion) on it that refuses to connect to a PPTP-based VPN server (running Windows 2003 SBS). To shortcut past a lot of questions: There is a Dell workstation running Windows 7 on the same LAN as the Mac that is able to establish a PPTP connection to the same VPN server using the same credentials. That would seem to rule out any possible problems with the server, the port forwards on the server's firewall, the internet connection between the two, and the router local to the Dell and iMac. Tue Sep 6 10:13:41 2011 : PPTP clearing port-mapping for en0 Tue Sep 6 10:13:41 2011 : PPTP disconnected The error seems to be focused around the line, LCP: timeout sending Config-Requests, but I haven't had any luck in finding troubleshooting information for this. I've tried completely deleting the entire VPN "connection" from the Network prefpane and recreating it from scratch. I am certain the connection details are correct because they exactly match what successfully connects from the Win7 machine sitting next to the iMac. Any suggestions?
