  I've been having this problem where i couldn't add Datatables.net javascript into my Joomla article. I have been trying to include it through Jumi. To say that my editor strips of the tag is somewhat not right as I have been able to execute Google Chart API in Joomla which also uses javascript. Any clue why?   This post is to report some differences when using MVC or IHttpHandlers if you’re attempting to set the Cache-control : max-age or s-maxage value under IIS7.x using the HttpResponse.Cache methods.   Hello!.As you may notice :), this is my first post on geekswithblogs.com . I  have been using the .Net Framework mainly to develop ASP.NET WebApps for some years now and I am moving from using the .Net Framework 2.0 to using the latest features on the 4.x Frameworks, I am planning to document whenever is possible some of the stuff I learn using this space kindly given by the staff of the site. The feedback I get will also be very important for my progress and my plan is to learn a lot from what you guys can teach me with your comments on here.I also found myself with the necessity of putting somewhere code samples because sometimes when you post on forums the entries get locked and you can't do anything to add relevant details on them. The code will either be explained on its entirety or will be posted on a link that has an explained working sample for you guys to test and learn from.My posts will be in English, and I am an intermediate English speaker/writer so bare with me if it's not perfect sometimes, I am always learning something new though.I hope this get to be a useful resource for anyone interested. You probably also have seen things like empty strings instead of NULL or non-trimmed texts ("United States       ") in "old" databases, and you don't want to apply a correcting function on every column you migrate. A news ticker is a user interface element that displays a subset of a list of items, cycling through them one at a time after a set interval. For example, on Cisco's website there is a news ticker that shows the company's latest news items. Each news item is a one sentence link, such as "Desktop Virtualization Gathers Steam," or "Cisco Reports First Quarter Earnings." Clicking a headline whisks you to a page that shows the full story. • ASP.NET MVC 3 (C#) Software Architecture

  I am starting on a relatively large and ambitious ASP.NET MVC 3 project and just thinking about the best way to organize my code. The project is basically going to be a general management system that will be capable of supporting any type management system whether it be a blogging system, cms, reservation system, wikis, forums, project management system, etc…, each of them being just a separate 'module'. For those who don't want to read the long blog post the basic idea is that the core system itself is nothing more than a users system with an admin interface to manage the users system. Then you just add on module as you need them and the module I will be creating is a simple blog post to test it out before I move on to the big module which is a project management system. Now I am just trying to think of the best way to structure this so that it is easy for users to add in there own modules but easy for me to update to core system without worrying about the user modifying the core code. I think the ideal way would be to have a number of core projects that user is specifically told not to modify otherwise the system may become unstable and future updates would not work. When the user wants to add in there own modules, they would just add in a new project (or multiple projects). The thing is I am not sure that it is even possible to use multiple projects all with their own controllers, razor view template, css, javascript, etc... in one web application. Ideally each module would have some of it own razor view templates, css, javascript, image files and also need access to some of the core razor view templates, css, javascript, image files which would is in a separate project. It is possible to have 1 web application run off of controllers, razor view templates, css, javascript, image files that are store in multiple projects? Is there a better was to structure this to allow the user to easily add in module with having to modify the core code?

  Microsoft has recently launched Razor view engine with ASP.NET MVC RC2. It’s going to be promising one. There are lots of features bundled with this view engine. But in earlier version of ASP.NET 3 MVC. We were are not having Synatx intellisense provided for asp.net mvc views  in Visual Studio 2010. So either we have to depend third party tools like Resharper or we have to manage it without intellisesnse. But with ASP.NET MVC 3 RC2 Microsoft has moved one step forward and its providing syntax intellisense without installing any third party addons in Visual Studio. Here is example of it. • How to inject a Session Bean into a Message Driven Bean?

  Hi guys, I'm reasonably new to JEE, so this might be stupid.. bear with me pls :D I would like to inject a stateless session bean into a message-driven bean. Basically, the MDB gets a JMS message, then uses a session bean to perform the work. The session bean holds the business logic. Here's my Session Bean: @Stateless public class TestBean implements TestBeanRemote { public void doSomething() { // business logic goes here } } The matching interface: @Remote public interface TestBeanRemote { public void doSomething(); } Here's my MDB: @MessageDriven(mappedName = "jms/mvs.TestController", activationConfig = { @ActivationConfigProperty(propertyName = "acknowledgeMode", propertyValue = "Auto-acknowledge"), @ActivationConfigProperty(propertyName = "destinationType", propertyValue = "javax.jms.Queue") }) public class TestController implements MessageListener { @EJB private TestBean testBean; public TestController() { } public void onMessage(Message message) { testBean.doSomething(); } } So far, not rocket science, right? However this module seems to be beta and there is little documentation and no tests :-/ Has anyone used this module in production? • Problem with sending out variable to serial port using api JAVA

  We are developing a java program for school. But we are experiencing problems with sending out a variable created by 3 sliders. The idea is that we have 3 sliders. One slider for every color. Red green and blue. The variable has to have a value between 0 and 255. Everytime the value of the slider changes is has to send a variable for the channel, that value is 1, 2 ,3. And after that it has to send the value of the slider through the serial port. Could you please help us out by creating an example program? Below is our code so far. Thanks in advance. • How to make Net::Msmnr run?

  There's Net::Msmgr module on CPAN. It's written clean and the code looks trustworthy at the first glance. However this module seems to be beta and there is little documentation and no tests :-/ Has anyone used this module in production? I haven't managed to make it run by now, because it requires all event loop processing to be done in the application and as I've already said there is little documentation and no working examples to study. • DotNetOpenAuth OpenID Provider "Sequence contains more than one element"

  Hello, all, I'm having trouble implementing my OpenID provider with DNOA 3.4.3. Everything was going absolutely peachy until I needed AX support as well. I set AXFetchAsSregTransform in the web config, as recommended by Andrew at http://groups.google.com/group/dotnetopenid/browse_thread/thread/5629a24c0a7e8d99. Doing this caused me to get the exception "Sequence Contains More Than One Element" on my decide.aspx page, however, and I haven't been able to get past it. The following line is throwing the exception: Edit: Strangely enough, this is not the line throwing the error anymore. The SendResponse() is now triggering the exception ClaimsRequest requestedFields = ProviderEndpoint.PendingRequest.GetExtension(); ProviderEndpoint.SendResponse() Any thoughts on why this may be? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
