  • C# syntax to get access to webcontrol in different file (aspx)

    Within my Website project, I have some aspx pages, javascript files, and a custom C# class I called MyCustomReport. I placed a Image box with an ID of Image1 inside SelectionReport.aspx. I need to get access to that Image1 inside MyCustomReport.cs so I can turn it on and off based on conditions. What code do I need to do this? Thanks everyone

    The situation: There a collapsible advanced search box. It is made up of a search box div that contains a boxhead div and a boxbody div. Inside the boxbody div, there is a searchToggle div. When the user clicks "Show/Hide", the display style property of the searchToggle div is toggled between block and none. (The search fields are hidden and the search boxbody gets much smaller). The 2 background-images for the body of the search box are set via the css of the searchBox div and the boxbody div. In IE7, when the searchToggle div is hidden, the background-image from the searchBox div extends on the left more than it should (see Here). It shows up correctly when the display of the searchToggle div is block (see Here). Everything show up correctly, in both cases, in IE8 and FF.     I'm having success when I use this code to get a string from an array called "fileList": cell.timeBeganLabel.text = [[[self.fileList objectAtIndex:[indexPath row]] lastPathComponent] stringByDeletingPathExtension]; so I expected the same code to generate the same string as a key for me in this: NSDictionary *stats = [thisRecordingsStats objectForKey:[[[self.fileList objectAtIndex:[indexPath row]] lastPathComponent] stringByDeletingPathExtension]]; cell.durationLabel.text = [stats objectForKey:@"duration"]; or this: NSDictionary *stats = [thisRecordingsStats objectForKey:@"%@",[[[self.fileList objectAtIndex:[indexPath row]] lastPathComponent] stringByDeletingPathExtension]]; Both build without error, and the log shows my data is there: but I'm getting a blank UILabel. Have I not written the dynamic key generator correctly?

    Can I name a custom column in the SELECT statement and reference that in the WHERE clause without duplicating code? For example; SELECT RIGHT(REPLICATE('0', 5) + RTRIM(SOME_ID)), 5) AS DISPLAY_ID FROM dbo.MY_TABLE WHERE DISPLAY_ID LIKE '%005%' Only much more complicated. I want to maintain this code in one place only but SQL Server 2005 forces me to duplicate the custom SELECT in the WHERE clause. I believe this was possible in Microsoft SQL Server 2000 but no longer in 2005. Thanks.

Now my question is the following: Does the suffix has ANY effect on how the processor is getting the data out of main memory or will always be one or more 32-bit (x86) chunks loaded into the cache ?     Hi, I have a Tour object which has many Place objects. For the list of tours, I want to show some info of the tour, the number of places of the tour, and three Place's images. Right one my SQL queries are (i'm using Doctrine with Symfony on MySQL) get Tour get Tour 1 places get Tour 2 places get Tour 3 places ... get Tour n places If I have a three Tour list, it's not so bad; but I'm sure it can get bad if I do a 10-20 tour-list. So, thinking on how to improve the queries I've thought of several measures: Having a place count cache Storing the urls of three images on a new tour field. The problem with 2. is that if I change the image, I have to check all the tours to update that image for another one. What solution do you think is best to scale the system in a near future? Any other suggestion. thanks!

The data is 1 client with 2 addresses and 1 client with 1 address. The query returns 3 rows of clients each with 1 address Client 1 = Address1 Client 1 = Address2 Client 2 = Address3 var query = from t1 in context.Clients.Where(specification.SatisfiedBy()).Include("ClientAddresses") join t2 in context.ClientAddresses.Where(spec.SatisfiedBy()) on t1.ClientKey equals t2.ClientKey select t1; My expectation was a little more like a list with only two clients in it, one client with a collection of two addresses and one client with a collection of one address. Client 1 = Address1 / Address2 Client 2 = Address3 What am I missing??? Thanks!
