  • JSF 2/Primefaces p:ajax not updating panel after onchange event is fired

    - by Ravi S
    I am really stuck with this for the last 2 days and am struggling to understand how Primefaces updates UI components on the client based on their ID. I have a h:selectOneMenu with a count for the number of panels to be displayed. Each p:panel will contain a panelGrid with numerous form elements. The onchange event on the drop down is fired and I can see the count in the Managed Bean. I do not see panels increasing dynamically on the client side though.i think something is wrong with my p:ajax params, but I don;t fully understand how it works. here is the relevant code: <h:selectOneMenu id="numapps" value="#{mbean.appCount}"> <f:selectItem itemLabel="1" itemValue="1" /> <f:selectItem itemLabel="2" itemValue="2" /> <f:selectItem itemLabel="3" itemValue="3" /> <f:selectItem itemLabel="4" itemValue="4" /> <f:selectItem itemLabel="5" itemValue="5" /> <p:ajax update="appsContainer" event="change" listener="#{mbean.onChangeNumApps()}" /> </h:selectOneMenu> <p:panel id="appsContainer" > <p:panel header="Application" id="appsPane" value="#{mbean.submittedApps}" var="app" multiple="true"> submittedApps is a List containing the panel form elements. Here is my mbean listener: public void onChangeNumApps() { List<Apps> c = new ArrayList<Apps>(); logger.info("on change event fired"); logger.info("new value is "+mbean.getAppCount()); for (int i=0;i < mbean.getAppCount();i++) { c.add(new App()); } mbean.setSubmittedApps(c); } I am mixing p:ajax with h:selectone because i could not get p:selectone working for some reason - possibly due to a CSS collision with my stylesheet??

  • WPF - How to bind a DataGridTemplateColumn

    - by Andy T
    Hi, I am trying to get the name of the property associated with a particular DataGridColumn, so that I can then do some stuff based on that. This function is called when the user clicks context menu item on the column's header... This is fine for the out-of-the-box ready-rolled column types like DataGridTextColumn, since they are bound, but the problem is that some of my columns are DataGridTemplateColumns, which are not bound. private void GroupByField_Click (object sender, RoutedEventArgs e){ MenuItem mi = (MenuItem)sender; ContextMenu cm = (ContextMenu) mi.Parent; DataGridColumnHeader dgch = (DataGridColumnHeader) cm.PlacementTarget; DataGridBoundColumn dgbc = (DataGridBoundColumn) dgch.Column; Binding binding = (Binding) dgbc.Binding; string BoundPropName = binding.Path.Path; //Do stuff based on bound property name here... } So, take for example my 'Name' column... it's a DataGridTemplateColumn (since it has an image and some other stuff in there). Therefore, it is not actually bound to the 'Name' property... but I would like to be, so that the above code will work. My question is two-part, really: 1) Is it possible to make a DataGridTemplateColumn be BOUND, so that the above code would work? Can I bind it somehow to a property? 2) Or do I need to something entirely different, and change the code above? Thanks in advance! AT

  • MVVM - ListBox SelectedItem Binding Property Going Null

    - by Peanut
    So i have a listbox: <ListBox x:Name="listbox" HorizontalAlignment="Left" Margin="8,8,0,8" Width="272" BorderBrush="{x:Null}" Background="{x:Null}" Foreground="{x:Null}" ItemsSource="{Binding MenuItems}" ItemTemplate="{DynamicResource MenuItemsTemplate}" SelectionChanged="ListBox_SelectionChanged" SelectedItem="{Binding SelectedItem}"> </ListBox> and i have this included in my viewmodel: public ObservableCollection<MenuItem> MenuItems { get { return menuitems; } set { menuitems = value; NotifyPropertyChanged("MenuItems"); } } public MenuItem SelectedItem { get { return selecteditem; } set { selecteditem = value; NotifyPropertyChanged("SelectedItem"); } } and also in my viewmodel: public void UpdateStyle() { ActiveHighlight = SelectedItem.HighlightColor; ActiveShadow = SelectedItem.ShadowColor; } So, the objective is to call UpdateStyle() whenever selectedchanged event is fired. So in the .CS file, i call UpdateStyle(). The problem is, whenever I get into the selectionchanged event method, my ViewModel.SelectedItem is always null. I tried debugging this to see if the binding was working correctly, and it is. When I click on an item in the listbox, the SelectedItem Set is triggered, setting the value... but somewhere inbetween that and the selected changed (In the CS File) It gets reset to Null. Can anyone help out? Thanks

  • Guice and JSF 2

    - by digitaljoel
    I'm trying to use Guice to inject properties of a JSF managed bean. This is all running on Google App Engine (which may or may not be important) I've followed the instructions here: http://code.google.com/docreader/#p=google-guice&s=google-guice&t=GoogleAppEngine One problem is in the first step. I can't subclass the Servlet module and setup my servlet mappings there because Faces is handled by the javax.faces.webapp.FacesServlet which subclasses Servlet, not HttpServlet. So, I tried leaving my servlet configuration in the web.xml file and simply instantiating a new ServletModel() along with my business module when creating the injector in the context listener described in the second step. Having done all that, along with the web.xml configuration, my managed bean isn't getting any properties injected. The method is as follows @ManagedBean @ViewScoped public class ViewTables implements Serializable { private DataService<Table> service; @Inject public void setService( DataService<Table> service ) { this.service = service; } public List<Table> getTables() { return service.getAll(); } } So, I'm wondering if there is a trick to get Guice injecting into a JSF managed bean? I obviously can't use the constructor injection because JSF needs a no-arg constructor to create the bean.

  • load jquery function from a href onclick

    - by QuBaR
    I have a html table with a column per row with this html code inside the tags: <a onclick="modalDialog(this); return false;" href="javascript:void(0)">17795</a> <div style="display: none;" class="MessageDataDiv"> some text to show up in my jquery modal window when function modaldialog is clicked. </div> And the jquery function that is called when onclick is fired within the a href link function modalDialog(event) { $('a.message').click(function () { var div = new $(this).closest("td").find(".MessageDataDiv").clone(); div.show().dialog(); event.preventDefault(); }); } Can anyone help me with some advice how to write the jquery function more correct so the function only fires one time when the linked is clicked. I need to have the jquery function modalDialog as a separate function because the html table use ajax partial rendering... The problem is when i click the a href link first time nothing happens, second click on the links gives med two modal dialog and third click gives me three modal dialog and so on...

  • Android: ScrollView in flipper

    - by Manu
    I have a flipper: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <LinearLayout android:id="@+id/ParentLayout" xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" style="@style/MainLayout" > <LinearLayout android:id="@+id/FlipperLayout" style="@style/FlipperLayout"> <ViewFlipper android:id="@+id/viewflipper" style="@style/ViewFlipper"> <!--adding views to ViewFlipper--> <include layout="@layout/home1" android:layout_gravity="center_horizontal" /> <include layout="@layout/home2" android:layout_gravity="center_horizontal" /> </ViewFlipper> </LinearLayout> </LinearLayout> The first layout,home1, consists of a scroll view. What should I do to distinguish between the flipping gesture and the scrolling? Presently: if I remove the scroll view, I can swipe across if I add the scroll view, I can only scroll. I saw a suggestion that I should override onInterceptTouchEvent(MotionEvent), but I do not know how to do this. My code, at this moment, looks like this: public class HomeActivity extends Activity { -- declares @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { -- declares & preliminary actions LinearLayout layout = (LinearLayout) findViewById(R.id.ParentLayout); layout.setOnTouchListener(new OnTouchListener() { public boolean onTouch(View v, MotionEvent event) { if (gestureDetector.onTouchEvent(event)) { return true; } return false; }}); @Override public boolean onTouchEvent(MotionEvent event) { gestureDetector.onTouchEvent(event); return true; } class MyGestureDetector extends SimpleOnGestureListener { @Override public boolean onFling(MotionEvent e1, MotionEvent e2, float velocityX, float velocityY) { // http://www.codeshogun.com/blog/2009/04/16/how-to-implement-swipe-action-in-android/ } } } Can anybody please guide me in the right direction? Thank you.

  • IPhone accelerometer works even in flat surface.

    - by Amaresh
    I have an imageView in the view. It moves even if the iphone is still for some time. Why is it so ? Also the image does not respond quickly to the movement of the iphone. Here is my code written for this: I have also set the updateInterval and delegate for the accelerometer. #define kVelocityMultiplier 1000; -(void)accelerometer:(UIAccelerometer *)accelerometer didAccelerate:(UIAcceleration *)acceleration { if(currentPoint.x < 0) { currentPoint.x=0; ballXVelocity=0; } if(currentPoint.x > 480-sliderWidth) { currentPoint.x=480-sliderWidth; ballXVelocity=0; } static NSDate *lastDrawTime; if(currentPoint.x<=480-sliderWidth&&currentPoint.x>=0) { if(lastDrawTime!=nil) { NSTimeInterval secondsSinceLastDraw=-([lastDrawTime timeIntervalSinceNow]); ballXVelocity = ballXVelocity + -acceleration.y*secondsSinceLastDraw; CGFloat xAcceleration=secondsSinceLastDraw * ballXVelocity * kVelocityMultiplier; currentPoint = CGPointMake(currentPoint.x + xAcceleration, 266); } slider.frame=CGRectMake(currentPoint.x, currentPoint.y, sliderWidth, 10); } [lastDrawTime release]; lastDrawTime=[[NSDate alloc]init]; } Can anyone help me out please ?

  • How to change image and disable UIBarButtonItem

    - by Alex
    I have a NavigationBar app with two views: a parent and a sub view. In the sub view I'm adding a button to the right corner as follows: - (void)viewDidLoad { UIBarButtonItem *tempButton = [[UIBarButtonItem alloc] initWithImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"lock-unlocked.png"] style:UIBarButtonItemStylePlain target:self action:@selector(lockScreen)]; self.navigationItem.rightBarButtonItem = tempButton; [tempButton release]; } When that button is clicked I want to change the image of this rightBarButtonItem and disable the leftBarButtonItem (which was added automatically by the controller). Basically have two states of a button, locked and unlocked. Question 1: The only way I can find how to change the image is to create a new UIButtonItem with a new image and replace rightBarButtonItem with that new one. But I'm wondering if there's a way to just change the image without creating a new UIBarButtonItem. Am I creating a memory leak if I keep creating new UIBarButtonItem? Question 2: How can I get a hold of self.navigationItem.leftBarButtonItem and disable/enable it? I don't create that one manually, it's created automatically for me by the controller. I don't see any method/property on UIBarButtonItem to enable/disable user interaction with it.

  • Help: Android paint/canvas issue; drawing smooth curves

    - by Wrapper
    How do I get smooth curves instead of dots or circles, when I draw with my finger on the touch screen, in Android? I am using the following code- public class DrawView extends View implements OnTouchListener { private static final String TAG = "DrawView"; List<Point> points = new ArrayList<Point>(); Paint paint = new Paint(); public DrawView(Context context) { super(context); setFocusable(true); setFocusableInTouchMode(true); this.setOnTouchListener(this); paint.setColor(Color.WHITE); paint.setAntiAlias(true); } @Override public void onDraw(Canvas canvas) { for (Point point : points) { canvas.drawCircle(point.x, point.y, 5, paint); // Log.d(TAG, "Painting: "+point); } } public boolean onTouch(View view, MotionEvent event) { // if(event.getAction() != MotionEvent.ACTION_DOWN) // return super.onTouchEvent(event); Point point = new Point(); point.x = event.getX(); point.y = event.getY(); points.add(point); invalidate(); Log.d(TAG, "point: " + point); return true; } } class Point { float x, y; @Override public String toString() { return x + ", " + y; } }

  • ReSharper - Possible Null Assignment when using Microsoft.Contracts

    - by HVS
    Is there any way to indicate to ReSharper that a null reference won't occur because of Design-by-Contract Requires checking? For example, the following code will raise the warning (Possible 'null' assignment to entity marked with 'NotNull' attribute) in ReSharper on lines 7 and 8: private Dictionary<string, string> _Lookup = new Dictionary<string, string>(); public void Foo(string s) { Contract.Requires(!String.IsNullOrEmpty(s)); if (_Lookup.ContainsKey(s)) _Lookup.Remove(s); } What is really odd is that if you remove the Contract.Requires(...) line, the ReSharper message goes away. Update I found the solution through ExternalAnnotations which was also mentioned by Mike below. Here's an example of how to do it for a function in Microsoft.Contracts: Create a directory called Microsoft.Contracts under the ExternalAnnotations ReSharper directory. Next, Create a file called Microsoft.Contracts.xml and populate like so: <assembly name="Microsoft.Contracts"> <member name="M:System.Diagnostics.Contracts.Contract.Requires(System.Boolean)"> <attribute ctor="M:JetBrains.Annotations.AssertionMethodAttribute.#ctor"/> <parameter name="condition"> <attribute ctor="M:JetBrains.Annotations.AssertionConditionAttribute.#ctor(JetBrains.Annotations.AssertionConditionType)"> <argument>0</argument> </attribute> </parameter> </member> </assembly> Restart Visual Studio, and the message goes away!

  • Is HttpContextWrapper all that....useful?

    - by bakasan
    I've been going through the process of cleaning up our controller code to make each action as testable. Generally speaking, this hasn't been too difficult--where we have opportunity to use a fixed object, like say FormsAuthentication, we generally introduce some form of wrapper as appropriate and be on our merry way. For reasons not particularly germaine to this conversation, when it came to dealing with usage of HttpContext, we decided to use the newly created HttpContextWrapper class rather than inventing something homegrown. One thing we did introduce was the ability to swap in a HttpContextWrapper (like say, for unit testing). This was wholly inspired by the way Oren Eini handles unit testing with DateTimes (see article, a pattern we also use) public static class FooHttpContext { public static Func<HttpContextWrapper> Current = () => new HttpContextWrapper(HttpContext.Current); public static void Reset() { Current = () => new HttpContextWrapper(HttpContext.Current); } } Nothing particularly fancy. And it works just fine in our controller code. The kicker came when we go to write unit tests. We're using Moq as our mocking framework, but alas var context = new Mock<HttpContextWrapper>() breaks since HttpContextWrapper doesn't have a parameterless ctor. And what does it take as a ctor parameter? A HttpContext object. So I find myself in a catch 22. I'm using the prescribed way to decouple HttpContext--but I can't mock a value in because the original HttpContext object was sealed and therefore difficult to test. I can map HttpContextBase, which both derive from--but that doesn't really get me what I'm after. Am I just missing the point somewhere with regard to HttpContextWrapper? I can find ways to work around the issue, but we are kind of fond of remaining consistent in decoupling using the Function delegate pattern--but it seems like we're not fully grokking intent of the wrapper.

  • Android custom media controller using vidtry

    - by Mathias Lin
    I want to use a custom media controller in my Android app and therefore looking at the vidtry code (http://github.com/commonsguy/vidtry), especially Player.java: The sample works fine as it comes. But I want the sample to play the fixed video automatically on app startup (so I don't want to enter a URL). I added: @Override public void onStart() { super.onStart(); address.setText("/sdcard/mydata/category/1/video_agkkr6me.mp4"); go.setEnabled(true); onGo.onClick(go); } Strange thing here is that if I run the app, the audio of the video plays but the image doesn't show. Everything else works fine (progress bar, etc.). I can't figure out the difference between the manual click on the go-button and the programmatic one. I looked at the code and didn't see any difference that might occur between manual and programmatic click. I checked if any elements (esp. surface) might be hidden, but it's not. I even tried a surface.setVisibility(View.INVISIBLE); surface.setVisibility(View.VISIBLE); in case some issue with the redrawing, but no difference. The video image does show when I manually hit the go button, but just not on start up automatically.

  • findViewById undefined

    - by areyling
    Eclipse is marking findViewById(int) as undefined; it was doing the same thing for getResources(), but I was able to get around that by calling context.getResources() instead (as seen below) and can't seem to find a similar workaround for findViewById. Here is the code: package com.myapp.android.MyWidget; import android.appwidget.AppWidgetProvider; import android.appwidget.AppWidgetManager; import android.content.Context; import android.content.ComponentName; import android.content.pm.PackageManager; import android.content.res.Resources; import android.util.Log; import android.view.View; import android.widget.RemoteViews; import android.widget.Button; import android.os.Bundle; public class MyWidget extends AppWidgetProvider { private static String[] states; @Override public void onEnabled(Context context) { final Button button = (Button) findViewById(R.id.widget_state_button); states = context.getResources().getStringArray(R.array.states); } Is there another package I need to import for findViewById? Thanks in advance.

  • MSTest: Problems with DeploymentItem attribute

    - by Juri
    Hi, I'm currently maintaining an "old" system written in C#.net, removing some obsolete features and doing some refactoring. Thanks god, the previous guy wrote some unit tests (MSTests). I quite comfortable with JUnit tests, but didn't do yet much with MSTests. The test methods have a DeploymentItem attribute, specifying a text file which is parsed by the business logic method that is being tested and a 2nd DeploymentItem where just a path has been specified containing a bunch of TIF files that have to be deployed too. [TestMethod()] [DeploymentItem(@"files\valid\valid_entries.txt")] [DeploymentItem(@"files\tif\")] public void ExistsTifTest() { ... } The tests worked before, but now I had to change the names of the TIF files contained in the \files\tif directory. According to a rule, the TIF filenames have to match a certain pattern which is also checked by the ExistsTifTest() method. Now I had to change the filenames in order to adapt them to the new requirements and suddently the TIF files are no more being deployed as before. Can someone give me a hint why this happens or what may be the cause? The same thing happens also if I add a new text-file say "my2ndTest.txt" beside the "valid_entries.txt" in the \files\valid\ directory with the according DeploymentItem attribute on the test method. The file doesn't get deployed? I got the images now deployed by defining the deployment path directly in the testrunconfig, but I'd like to understand why these things happen or why for instance my new file "my2ndTest.txt" doesn't get deployed while the others do. Thanks a lot. Juri

  • "Does not make sense to draw an image" - Warning after upgrade to MountainLion

    - by Tom
    After I upgraded my programming machine to MountainLion and XCode to the new version I get this warning printed into the console everytime I run my application: It does not make sense to draw an image when [NSGraphicsContext currentContext] is nil. This is a programming error. Break on void _NSWarnForDrawingImageWithNoCurrentContext() to debug. This will be logged only once. This may break in the future. I'm not using an Image anywhere in my Application and I searched the whole project for an image but couldn't find one. Does anybody know what could cause this? I'm using 2 nib files btw: One Popover and the Mainwindow. Neither of them contains an image. Edit: I found the line when this appears: [self.popover showRelativeToRect:[appDelegate.menulet frame] ofView:appDelegate.menulet preferredEdge:NSMinYEdge]; But none of those object is nil. Any suggestions? Edit 2: The Menulet is a NSView subclass btw. So I'm passing a view.

  • Binding to an ObservableCollection attached property.

    - by bwreichle
    I want to create an attached property of type ObservableCollection<Notification> and bind it to a property of the same type on the DataContext. Currently I have: internal static class Squiggle { public static readonly DependencyProperty NotificationsProperty = DependencyProperty.RegisterAttached( "Notifications", typeof(ObservableCollection<Notification>), typeof(TextBox), new FrameworkPropertyMetadata(null, NotificationsPropertyChanged, CoerceNotificationsPropertyValue)); public static void SetNotifications(TextBox textBox, ObservableCollection<Notification> value) { textBox.SetValue(NotificationsProperty, value); } public static ObservableCollection<Notification> GetNotifications(TextBox textBox) { return (ObservableCollection<Notification>)textBox.GetValue(NotificationsProperty); } ... } With the following XAML: <TextBox x:Name="configTextBox" Text="{Binding Path=ConfigText, UpdateSourceTrigger=PropertyChanged}" AcceptsReturn="True" AcceptsTab="True" local:Squiggle.Notifications="{Binding Path=Notifications}" /> Unfortunatly, when I actually run this I get an exception stating: A 'Binding' cannot be used within a 'TextBox' collection. A 'Binding' can only be set on a DependencyProperty of a DependencyObject. This only seems to be a problem when the attached property is of type ObservableCollection so it seems like WPF is trying to do something magical when binding properties of this type and getting confused in the process. Anyone know what I need to do to make it work?

  • Update iPhone UIProgressView during NSURLConnection download.

    - by Scott Pendleton
    I am using this code: NSURLConnection *oConnection=[[NSURLConnection alloc] initWithRequest:oRequest delegate:self]; to download a file, and I want to update a progress bar on a subview that I load. For that, I use this code: - (void)connection:(NSURLConnection *)connection didReceiveData:(NSData *)data { [oReceivedData appendData:data]; float n = oReceivedData.length; float d = self.iTotalSize; NSNumber *oNum = [NSNumber numberWithFloat:n/d]; self.oDPVC.oProgress.progress = [oNum floatValue]; } The subview is oDPVC, and the progress bar on it is oProgress. Setting the progress property does not update the control. From what I have read on the Web, lots of people want to do this and yet there is not a complete, reliable sample. Also, there is much contradictory advice. Some people think that you don't need a separate thread. Some say you need a background thread for the progress update. Some say no, do other things in the background and update the progress on the main thread. I've tried all the advice, and none of it works for me. One more thing, maybe this is a clue. I use this code to load the subview during applicationDidFinishLaunching: self.oDPVC = [[DownloadProgressViewController alloc] initWithNibName:@"DownloadProgressViewController" bundle:nil]; [window addSubview:self.oDPVC.view]; In the XIB file (which I have examined in both Interface Builder and in a text editor) the progress bar is 280 pixels wide. But when the view opens, it has somehow been adjusted to maybe half that width. Also, the background image of the view is default.png. Instead of appearing right on top of the default image, it is shoved up about 10 pixels, leaving a white bar across the bottom of the screen. Maybe that's a separate issue, maybe not.

  • addSubview insertSubview aboveSubview bit confused as to why it does not work

    - by John Smith
    I'm a bit confused all as to why the belowSubview does not work. I'm adding some (subviews) to my navigationController and all of that works well. -(UITableView *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath { ... ... [self.navigationController.view addSubview:ImageView]; [self.navigationController.view addSubview:toolbar]; add some point in my app I wish to add another toolbar or image above my toolbar. so let's say I'm doing something like this -(void)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView didSelectRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath { ... ... [self.navigationController.view insertSubview:NewImageView aboveSubview:toolbar]; //crucial of course [edit] rvController = [RootViewController alloc] initWithNibName:@"RootViewController" bundle:[NSBundle] mainBundle]; rvController.CurrentLevel += 1; rvController.CurrentTitle = [dictionary objectForKey:@"Title"]; [self.navigationController pushViewController:rvController animated:YES]; rvController.tableDataSource = Children; [rvController release]; However this doesn't work.. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong here ... Should I have used something else instead of addSubview or is the problem somewhere else?

  • How To Raise Property Changed events on a Dependency Property?

    - by Muad'Dib
    OK, so I have this control with two properties. One of these is a DependencyProperty, the other is an "alias" to the first one. What I need to be able to do is raise the PropertyChanged event for the second one (the alias) when the first one is changed. NOTE: I am using DependencyObjects, not INotifyPropertyChanged (tried that, didn't work because my control is a sub-classed ListView) something like this..... protected override void OnPropertyChanged(DependencyPropertyChangedEventArgs e) { base.OnPropertyChanged(e); if (e.Property == MyFirstProperty) { RaiseAnEvent( MySecondProperty ); /// what is the code that would go here? } } If I were using an INotify I could do like this... public string SecondProperty { get { return this.m_IconPath; } } public string IconPath { get { return this.m_IconPath; } set { if (this.m_IconPath != value) { this.m_IconPath = value; this.SendPropertyChanged("IconPath"); this.SendPropertyChanged("SecondProperty"); } } } where I can raise PropertyChanged events on multiple properties from one setter. I need to be able to do the same thing, only using DependencyProperties.

  • Output asp.net masterpage webform to html email

    Hi I'm having a bit of a nightmare here! I'mv trying output a webform to html using page.rendercontrol and htmltextwriter but it is resulting in a blank email. Code: StringBuilder sb = new StringBuilder(); StringWriter sw = new StringWriter(sb); HtmlTextWriter htmlTW = new HtmlTextWriter(sw); page.RenderControl(htmlTW); String content = sb.ToString(); MailMessage mail = new MailMessage(); mail.From = new MailAddress("[email protected]"); mail.To.Add("[email protected]"); mail.IsBodyHtml = true; mail.Subject = "Test"; mail.Body = content; SmtpClient smtp = new SmtpClient("1111"); smtp.Send(mail); Response.Write("Message Sent"); I also tried it by rendering a single textbox and got and error saying It needed to be within form tags (which are on the masterpage). I tried this fix: http://forums.asp.net/p/1016960/1368933.aspx#1368933 and added: public override void VerifyRenderingInServerForm(Control control) { return; } But now the errror I get is: VerifyRenderingInServerForm(Control)': no suitable method found to override Does anyone have a fix for this? But the line HttpWebRequest request = (HttpWebRequest) WebRequest.Create("http://www.mayosoftware.com"); Is throwinh an exception {"Configuration system failed to initialize"}. I am working in a compmany. Does it due to proxy or anything? But it’s occurring while creation of the URL it self. Exception trace is: at System.Configuration.ConfigurationManager.PrepareConfigSystem() at System.Configuration.ConfigurationManager.GetSection(String sectionName) at System.Configuration.PrivilegedConfigurationManager.GetSection(String sectionName) at System.Net.Configuration.WebRequestModulesSectionInternal.GetSection() at System.Net.WebRequest.get_PrefixList() at System.Net.WebRequest.Create(Uri requestUri, Boolean useUriBase) Code is like void GetHTTPReq() { Looking forward on it. The complete code is as follows but problem is in the starting itself : \ // used to build entire input StringBuilder sb = new StringBuilder(); // used on each read operation byte[] buf = new byte[8192]; // prepare the web page we will be asking for HttpWebRequest request = (HttpWebRequest) WebRequest.Create("http://www.mayosoftware.com"); // execute the request HttpWebResponse response = (HttpWebResponse) request.GetResponse(); // we will read data via the response stream Stream resStream = response.GetResponseStream(); string tempString = null; int count = 0; do { // fill the buffer with data count = resStream.Read(buf, 0, buf.Length); // make sure we read some data if (count != 0) { // translate from bytes to ASCII text tempString = Encoding.ASCII.GetString(buf, 0, count); // continue building the string sb.Append(tempString); } } while (count > 0); // any more data to read? // print out page source Console.WriteLine(sb.ToString()); }

  • Flex 3 - Style not applying completely on dynamically created tabs in TabNavigator

    - by user254177
    When I create a tab dynamically via ActionScript, the style for the newly created (and selected) tab get applied to the skins, but not the text, unless I click on another tab and then click back to it. This is the A/S, MXML and CSS code I am using: private function clickAddTabHandler(event:Event):void{ var vbox:VBox = new VBox; var tab:Canvas = new (Canvas); vbox.label = "Select Location"; vbox.addChild(tab); tabBar.addChild(vbox); tabBar.selectedIndex = tabBar.numChildren-1; } .tabNavigator { disabledSkin: Embed(source="assets/skins/TabBar-tab_disabledSkin.png", scaleGridTop=1, scaleGridLeft=20, scaleGridBottom=18, scaleGridRight=32); downSkin: Embed(source="assets/skins/TabBar-tab_downSkin.png", scaleGridTop=1, scaleGridLeft=20, scaleGridBottom=18, scaleGridRight=32); overSkin: Embed(source="assets/skins/TabBar-tab_overSkin.png", scaleGridTop=1, scaleGridLeft=20, scaleGridBottom=18, scaleGridRight=32); upSkin: Embed(source="assets/skins/TabBar-tab_upSkin.png", scaleGridTop=1, scaleGridLeft=20, scaleGridBottom=18, scaleGridRight=32); selectedDisabledSkin: Embed(source="assets/skins/TabBar-tab_selectedDisabledSkin.png", scaleGridTop=1, scaleGridLeft=20, scaleGridBottom=18, scaleGridRight=32); selectedUpSkin: Embed(source="assets/skins/TabBar-tab_selectedUpSkin.png", scaleGridTop=1, scaleGridLeft=20, scaleGridBottom=18, scaleGridRight=32); selectedOverSkin: Embed(source="assets/skins/TabBar-tab_selectedUpSkin.png", scaleGridTop=1, scaleGridLeft=20, scaleGridBottom=18, scaleGridRight=32); selectedDownSkin: Embed(source="assets/skins/TabBar-tab_selectedUpSkin.png", scaleGridTop=1, scaleGridLeft=20, scaleGridBottom=18, scaleGridRight=32); textAlign: left; paddingLeft: 20; paddingRight: 20; fontSize: 11; fontFamily: Helvetica Neue; color: #FFFFFF; textRollOverColor: #FFFFFF; } .tabNavigatorSelected { textAlign: left; paddingLeft: 20; paddingRight: 20; fontSize: 11; fontFamily: Helvetica Neue; color: #135F9E; textRollOverColor: #135F9E; textSelectedColor: #135F9E; }

  • Running a command that produces no output with SharpSSH

    - by Paolo Tedesco
    I want to run a command using ssh. I am using the SharpSSH library, as in this example: using System; using Tamir.SharpSsh; class Program { static void Main(string[] args) { string hostName = "host.foo.com"; string userName = "user"; string privateKeyFile = @"C:\privatekey.private"; string privateKeyPassword = "xxx"; SshExec sshExec = new SshExec(hostName, userName); sshExec.AddIdentityFile(privateKeyFile, privateKeyPassword); sshExec.Connect(); string command = string.Join(" ", args); Console.WriteLine("command = {0}", command); string output = sshExec.RunCommand(command); int code = sshExec.ChannelExec.getExitStatus(); sshExec.Close(); Console.WriteLine("code = {0}", code); Console.WriteLine("output = {0}", output); } } My problem is that when the command I run produces no output, I get -1 as return code, instead of the code returned by the command on the remote machine. Has someone encountered this problem, or am I doing something wrong?
