  Hi all, I am trying to create a page that shows the user their zip code when they are on my page. (if any of you are familiar with GeoIP data, thats what I am using. ) I have a conversion that converts the users IP address into an IP number, that conversion is: ipnum = 16777216*w + 65536*x + 256*y + z where w.x.y.z are the ip sections (000.000.000.000) My question is, using $_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR']; is there a way for me to section the users ip address and assign the section of the ip address to variables? for example: usersip = 192.168.123.5 w = 192; x = 168; y = 123; z = 5; Thanks!

  Hello, Hello, I am quite new to iphone development. I have a situation here. I have some labels which can be dragged across the screen. When any of these labels are dragged to some textfield and released over a textfields UIlabel test is assigned to that text field. Now the problem is this I want to assign the text of UILabel to some specific position in textfield according to release of textfield i.e If user releases at the beginning of text field then it should be appended at the beginning and if somewhere near end of text of textfield then it should be appendended at the end. How can I give these dynamically create mc's a name or custom property? ideally I would like to use a custom property called portfolio.id but would use the name property or another default property if it works.

• How can I create a collection of references in C#

  Ok I am having a cross language hiccup. In C# with it's great collections like List and I have: a Map class with properties of: List<byte[]> Images; List<Tile> Tiles; a Tile Class of: byte[] ImageData; int X; int Y; Now I want to add an image to the Map class and have the ImageData property of the Tile Classes to "reference" it. I have discovered I can't just assign it Images[0]. You can't have a reference to an object of a List. My fix was to create a Dictionary. Is this the best way or can I somehow have a "pointer" to a collection of objects?

  I have an array, say int a[]={2,0,1,0,1,1,0,2,1,1,1,0,1,0,1}; I need to append each of the 5 neighboring elements and assign them to a new array b with length=(a.length/5); and i want to append the 5 neighboring elements so that I have: int b[]={20101,10211,10101}; I need to do this for various length arrays, in most cases with length of a being greater than 15. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'm programming in Java. Thanks in advance.

  Hello I am using ibatis and C#. i get a result from a select query that has CreatedDate as one of the field. The Datatype of CreatedDate in Mysql is Date. I assign the result set of the select query to a Ilist< DeliveryClass **. Here the DeliveryClass CreatedDate as DateTime. When i run the application, i get **Unable to convert MySQL date/time value to System.DateTime. What could be the problem?

  Hi, I would like to be able to send a string of emails at a determined interval to different recipients. I assign to each Contact this series of Emails called a Campaign, where Campaign has Email1, Email2, etc. Each Contact has a Contact.start_date. Each Email has email.days which stores the number of days since a Contact's start-date to send the email. For example: Email1.days=5, Email2.days=7, Email3.days=11. Contact1.start_date = 4/10/2010; contact2.start_date = 4/08/2010 IF today is 4/15, then Contact1 receives Email 1 (4/15-4/10 = 5 days) IF today is 4/15, then Contact2 received Email 2 (4/15 - 4/8 = 7 days). What's a good action to run every day using a cron job that would then follow these rules to send out emails using ActionMailer? Thanks.

  I'm building an app for iPhone, I want to use storyboard in XCode to do a simple selection from a tableView (let's call it master table view controller with couple rows) then through navigation it goes to next page and shows a detail view for that selection. I have in my code a base class representing my detailViewController, and have 2-3 driver classes of this base class representing what I want to show in detail view controller in second page, can someone give me an idea how to set destination viewController (detailViewController) dynamically to one of my child class based on the selected row in master view controller using storyboard? Usually you assign a class to destination class in storyboard for your detail view controller with using segue, but since my destination class could be a different (child class) how you set this in storyboard?   let say I have a parent element which has so many nested child elements inside of itself: <div id="p"> <div id="c1"> <div id="c2"></div> <div id="c3"></div> </div id="c4"> <div id="c5"></div> </div> </div> I've already bind a click event on the parent: $('#p').bind('click', function() { alert($(this).attr('id')); }); Because the event is assigned to the parent element, I always see the parent id, however, I'm wondering if there is any possible way to find out which of this child elements has been clicked? I also can't assign any event to the child elements or remove the event listener from parent div.

• Django User "per project" group assignation

  Hi, Here's my problem : my site has users, which can create projects, and access other user's projects. Each project can assign different rights to users. So, i could have Project A : user "John" is in group "manager" , and Project "B" user "John" is in group "worker". How could I use the Django User authentication model to do that ? From a SQL point a view, what i would like is to be able to add "project_id" in the primary key for the "auth_user_groups" table. I don't think profile is of any help here. Any advice ? UPDATE : "worker" and "manager" are just two examples of the permission group (or "roles") that my application defines. There will be more in the future. Eg : i will probably also have "admin", "reporting", etc...

• Using entity framework to detect changes in related table and action appropriate inserts and deletes

  Lets say i have a Person table, a Role table with a trel table PersonRoles linking them as many to many. I create a new person and assign them to 2 roles (role 1, role 3). I then want to edit this person; so i retrieve their data and bind their roles to a checkboxes. I change the values (Deselect role 1 and select role 2 instead) I then post this data back through a viewmodel. Can i then get Entity Framework to update these roles for me, as in delete the entry in PersonRoles to role 1 and then add a new entry as role 2? Or do i have to do the logic for this myself? • Using asp.net mvc model binders generically

  I have a hierarchy of classes that all derive from a base type and the base type also implements an interface. What I'm wanting to do is have one controller to handle the management of the entire hierarchy (as the actions exposed via the controller is identical). That being said, I want to have the views have the type specific fields on it and the model binder to bind against a hidden field value. something like: <input type="text" name="model.DerivedTypeSpecificField" /> <input type="hidden" name="modelType" value="MyDerivedType" /> That being said, the asp.net mvc model binders seem to require the concrete type that they will be creating, because of that reason I would need to create a different controller for every derived type. Has anyone does this before or know how to manipulate the model binder to behave in this way? I could write my own model binder, but I'm not wanting anything past the basic model binding behavior of assign properties and building arrays on the target type. Thanks!

  I am having issues were a workflow is stalled because there is an issue with sending an email (send email activity). Typically, this is simply solved by resuming the workflow. I'm wondering if there any way to react to a workflow error, so the user knows they need to go in and resume the workflow. I'm also wondering about this relative to a workflow that is attempting to assign a task to a user who no longer exists in the CRM or one that has an invalid email address, which I'm assuming would cause errors in workflows as well. Any other suggestions related to this sort if issue would be welcome. Thanks!

  Hi, i've written this peace of code: var a=function(){ }; a.name="test"; a.prop="test2"; Now if i debug the code with the console: console.log(a.name); console.log(a.prop); In Firefox i get a.name="test" and a.prop="test2", while in Safari and Chrome i get a.prop="test2" but a.name="". It seems that there's no way to assign a "name" property on a function in Webkit browsers. Do you know why? But the most important thing is, do you know a workaround for that?

I expected the variable I set in the subclass (prior to calling the superclass constructor) to remain. Is there a way to assign class variables in subclass constructors which are not over-written by the superclass construtor? Or should I pass them up as constructor variables?

  namespace MyNamespace { static const double GasConstant = 1.987; Class MyClass { // constructors, methods, etc. }; }; I previously had GasConstant declared within the MyClass declaration (and had a separate definition in the source file since C++ does not support const initialization of non-integral types). I however need to access it from other files and also logically it seems like it should reside at the namespace level. My questions is, what effect does static const have in this case? Clearly const means I can't assign a new value to GasConstant, but what does a static member at the namespace mean. Is this similar to filescope static effect, where the member is not accessible outside of the unit?
