  • Customizing scrollable plugin with prevpage and nextpage over the image? (see mock up)

    Hi, I am implementing a scrollable for a portfolio gallery. (scrollable = scrollable plugin from http://flowplayer.org/tools/index.html ) There will be one item visible at a time. By default, scrollable positions the prev/next buttons outside of the image area and clicking on the current image advances the scrollable content. I would like to have the prev/next render within the image area. I would like to have an image caption appear when mousing over the lower part of the image.     Twitter will pop down a message bar at the top of the screen say "Wrong password" and after 10 seconds, it will slide up and disappear. Chrome also shows "Do you want to save the password" message box using such a way. Does jQuery have a plug in to do that already? Does it also work in IE 6? Because usually, the display of relative to the viewport (using position: fixed) will not work on IE 6. thanks.

  • Binding jQuery UI plugin after $.load

    I have a function that attaches the jQuery UI DatePicker (with my options) to a passed jQuery object: function bindDatepicker($obj) { if ($obj == null) $obj = $("input.date"); $obj.datepicker( { appendText: '(yyyy-mm-dd)', autoSize: true, changeMonth: true, changeYear: true, closeText: 'Done', dateFormat: 'yy-mm-dd', defaultDate: '+1m', minDate: +1, numberOfMonths: 2 } ); } I call this at the beginning of every page to bind it to input elements: $(function() { bindDatepicker($("input.date")); }); This works fine. My problem comes in when I load form elements using $.load(). I cannot attach the DatePicker to any of the loaded elements. For example: $("#id").load("urlToLoad", function() { bindDatepicker($("input.date")); }); Loads the form elements into a div just fine, but will not attach the DatePicker. Why is this?     I am using the excellent jTemplates plugin to generate content. Given a data object like this... var data = { name: 'datatable', table: [ {id: 1, name: 'Anne'}, {id: 2, name: 'Amelie'}, {id: 3, name: 'Polly'}, {id: 4, name: 'Alice'}, {id: 5, name: 'Martha'} ] }; ..I'm wondering if it is possible to directly specify an object in an array of objects using $T. (I'm hoping there is something like $T.table:3 available) Currently the only way I can think of to access a specific object in an array is to do something like this... {#foreach $T.table as record} {#if $T.record$iteration == 3} This is record 3! Name: {$T.record.name} {#/if} {#/for} However that seems clumsy... Any suggestions? Thanks

    I Have an N-Pages PDF linked in a my web page. I want to be able to browse the PDF, with next and prev arrows, page numbers, etc etc I want to be able to browse the PDF without using any Flash Plugin. I also want to normalize the browsing behaviour, so i don't want to use the default PDF plugin of the browser. I'm looking for a JS plugin but i don't find interesting solutions.     I am using the jQuery Cloud Zoom Plugin and i need to add the "mouseenter" or "mouseover" event to activate the zoom when the user put the mouse over the thumbs. So i have made this change in the line 359 of the file cloud-zoom.1.0.2.js (Version 1.0.2) $(this).bind('mouseenter click', $(this) ... It works, but if i pass the mouse quickly over the thumbs the "Loading" text doesn't disapear. Someone knows what i have to change to solve this? Thanks for any help!

    Redmine has a nice batch edit feature, but nothing equivalent for "batch create" (please correct me if I'm wrong!) FogBugz lets you quickly create multiple tickets with the same properties (type, status, assignment, etc.) via a ajax-ified text box at the bottom of any filtered view of tickets. Tickets created this way match the values of the filter (and the filter grouping value - there's a text-box at the bottom of each group). Toodledo has simpler option: it's "Add multiple tasks" feature is a textarea where each line is turned into an item. Is there a redmine plugin out there that adds functionality like either of the above?

  • Are MEF's ComposableParts contracts instance-based?

    I didn't really know how to phrase the title of my questions, so my apologies in advance. I read through parts of the MEF documentation to try to find the answer to my question, but couldn't find it. I'm using ImportMany to allow MEF to create multiple instances of a specific plugin. That plugin Imports several parts, and within calls to a specific instance, it wants these Imports to be singletons. However, what I don't want is for all instances of this plugin to use the same singleton. For example, let's say my application ImportManys Blender appliances. Every time I ask for one, I want a different Blender. However, each Blender Imports a ControlPanel. I want each Blender to have its own ControlPanel. To make things a little more interesting, each Blender can load BlendPrograms, which are also contained within their own assemblies, and MEF takes care of this loading. A BlendProgram might need to access the ControlPanel to get the speed, but I want to ensure that it is accessing the correct ControlPanel (i.e. the one that is associated with the Blender that is associated with the program!) This diagram might clear things up a little bit: As the note shows, I believe that the confusion could come from an inherently-poor design. The BlendProgram shouldn't touch the ControlPanel directly, and instead perhaps the BlendProgram should get the speed via the Blender, which will then delegate the request to its ControlPanel. If this is the case, then I assume the BlendProgram needs to have a reference to a specific Blender. In order to do this, is the right way to leverage MEF and use an ImportingConstructor for BlendProgram, i.e. [ImportingConstructor] public class BlendProgram : IBlendProgram { public BlendProgram( Blender blender) {} } And if this is the case, how do I know that MEF will use the intended Blender plugin?

  • 'Stack level too deep' error in engine-like plugin with globalize

    Hello folks. I have built an engine-like plugin thanks to the new features of Rails 2.3. It's a 'Product' module for a CMS, extrapolated from a previously existing (and working) model/controller. The plugin relies on easy_fckeditor and on globalize (description and title field are localised), and I suspect that globalized could be the culprit here... Everything works fine, except for the update action.
