    This is a followup question to my other question : http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2434125/run-bat-file-in-java-and-wait The reason i am posting this as a separate question is that the one i already asked was answered correctly. From some research i did my problem is unique to my case so i decided to create a new question. Please go read that question before continuing with this one as they are closely related. Running the proposed code blocks the program at the waitFor invocation. After some research i found that the waitFor method blocks if your process has output that needs to be proccessed so you should first empty the output stream and the error stream. I did those things but my method still blocks. I then found a suggestion to simply loop while waiting the exitValue method to return the exit value of the process and handle the exception thrown if it is not, pausing for a brief moment as well so as not to consume all the CPU.     I'm new to Pascal and FastReport. This question can probably be answered without knowledge of FastReport. Pascal is Delphi. FastReport4. I have a text box accepting an 8 character string as input. Each character should be numeric. I'm attempting to validate each character as numeric. I've tried using the val function... The explanation says that the function will return an error with a code greater than zero if the character cannot be converted to an integer. Is that explanation correct? Am I misinterpreting? Right now I am trying to set a button's enabled property to false if the validation fails. I might change that to a message. For now, I would like to get it to work by setting the button property. I'm not sure if I should be using the onChange event or another event. I'm also not sure if I need to send the input to the val function in a loop. Like I said, I'm just learning how to use this function. I am able to validate the length.     I would like to disable 404 errors from appearing in my Apache error logs. The reason for this is that I have a custom page that handles 404 errors, performing any necessary redirects. If no valid redirect is found in this 404 page, then a nice page appears and the url and other information are logged by the script. Because of this, I do not need 404 errors in my Apache error log. Is there any way to just disable 404s short of doing a custom pipe?

Would there be any reason I could not open two instances of emacs if I use cua.el?

  • PHP Sockets Not Working

    Hi, I switched from Lighttpd server to WAMP and then found sockets in php are not working. But php is configured and working. (phpinfo() works) I removed the comment for the php_sockets.dll in php.ini @ C:\wamp\bin\php\php5.2.5.but still gives the error "Fatal error: Call to undefined function socket_create()". Any more configurations to do to enable sockets in php in WAMP? (php_sockets.dll is there as well, I've checked) Thank You!

    I'm working on a site, and its CMS used to save new page urls using the underscore character as a word seperator. Despite the fact that Google now treats underscore as a word seperator, the SEO powers that be are demanding the site use dashes instead. This is very easy to do within the CMS, and I can of course change all existing URLs saved in the MySQL database that serves the CMS. My problem lies in writing a .htaccess rule that will 301 old style underscore seperated links to the new style hyphenated verstion.   • Cruisecontrol.NET & IIS7 Static File Handler Problem

    I'm trying to get Cruisecontrol.NET running with Server 2008/IIS7 and when I try and navigate to the dashboard I get the following error: HTTP Error 404.17 - Not Found The requested content appears to be script and will not be served by the static file handler. I'm a bit lost in IIS7 so it could be something pretty straightforward. They (cc.net) do some funny stuff with http handlers in the web.config which may be related to the problem: Anyone have any pointers?

  • Python ldap AttributeError

    Hi guys, I have an python error AttributeError: 'module' object has no attribute 'initialize' I am running Python 2.6.2 on Solaris 10 UNIX and recently installed the pythonldap 2.3.9. The script is very basic, only has these 2 lines. Can anyone tell me why??
