  • IIS 6.0 not sending Expired header though I have turned it on

    My website is hosted on Windows server 2003, IIS 6.0. The website is developed on ASP.net, with Microsoft Framework 3.5 I have set the content expiry to 12 hours for the complete site using the following settings : IIS Manager-Site-Properties-HTTP Headers-Enable Content Expiration-Expire After-12 Hours(s) The Problem is that when i load the site, Expiry header is not being sent with the site. can any one please help me with this.

  • What is the recommended approach to add static subdomains to a website?

    I would like to create a few static subdomains like: mycategory.mydomain.com in a rather small website and would like it to point to the folder: mydomain.com/mycategory without showing such redirection in browser address bar. What is an easiest way to achieve it? I can do it in either IIS settings, asp.net, C# code, etc I guess there are better ways then creating a few separate Sites in IIS - one for each subdomain.

    I have the following c# code embedded in a literal <% %> of a c# asp.net page string commandString = "SELECT tblData.Content " + "FROM tblData " + "WHERE (tblData.ref = N\'%"+myCurrentREF+"%\')"; This is breaking my code since it apparently cannot use the \' escape character. Why is it so? other escape characters like \" are working so why isn't \' working?

    I'm using Licensed componentone product in my ASP.NET application and spcefically i use C1WebReport1 control from the product.while upgrading C1WebReport1 control from version 2.5.20072.239 to 2.6.20093.53207,i get the error message as "Could not load file or assembly 'C1.Web.C1WebReport.2, Version=2.6.20093.53207, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=594a0605db190bb9' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040)" can any one help me to bring complete solution? Thanks in advance. I am trying to add the MoviesController, but whenever I do I receive an error that says... "Unable to retrieve metadata for 'MvcMovie.Models.Movie' unrecognized configuration section entityFramework (C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Temp\tmp4FFB.tmp line 76)" The last thing I did before this was change the Web.config file from the end of the previous page in the tutorial.
