    I'm converting some URLs from a web application using ASP.NET 4.0 friendly SEO Urls: From <a href="profile.aspx" ></a> To <a href="<%= Page.GetRouteUrl("Profile", null) %>" ></a> The problem is before conversion when I try to hit profile.aspx it would fire the application_authenticaterequest but after conversion when I try to hit Page.GetRouteUrl it would not fire the application_authenticaterequest.     Hi, I have a website deeloped in ASP.NET and I want it to be accessed via local URL, for eg: http://localhost/website20 I tried once but the CMS in my website started giving error "It is an error to use a section registered as allowDefinition='MachineToApplication' beyond application level. This error can be caused by a virtual directory not being configured as an application in IIS." Please help about the steps I need to follow.

    Hi, I am searching for the best way for track user on a web site based on asp.net. We are using log4net to log some business actions (enter on this page, click on button, etc.). But for multiple users, log file cannot be read easily. So I need add a property 'UserName' on the config file like this : <conversionPattern value="%date [%thread] - %property{UserName} - %-5level - %logger - %message%newline"/> Do you hae any idea about the way to set 'UserName' ? thanks for your help

  • Onclick not added until after Postback

    I have the following: <asp:Button id="SubmitButton" Text="Submit" runat="server" OnClientClick="Do();" OnClick="SubmitButton_Click"/> When the page is first rendered, I go to the view source in my browser and see that the onclick="Do();" is not added to my submit button tag. But when I do a post back, and do the view source again, the onclick is added to the submit. Why would the onclick not be there on the first request?

    I have a form on my web page, it allows to submit many queries to my website, every query is on a separate line in TextArea. Because waiting for all queries to complete is too long I would like to update the web page after every query completes - send result of one query to a web browser, new result should be appended to old results that are already on the web page.
