• Hide blocks on page not found in Drupal

  I have google adsense in a block, and I want to hide the block when the page is a "Page not found" error page. It's against adsenses TOS to show their ads on error pages. I figure there must be a way to write a php script to put in the Page specific visibility options. Does anyone know how to do this?

  I have a textarea with a default value of http://. Now when an user pastes in an url (if they don't know what they are doing, like most people) it comes out like this http://http://www.google.com. I've seen a site that as soon as you have http://http:// it removes one via Ajax. I am not familiar with Ajax, so can anyone help me? I don't want to clear the field on focus only.

The Problem is that i want this Server to move itself to the background (deamonize itself). Currently, if the site being linked to is outside the domain (say Google.com), I am always launching it on a new window. If the page being linked is within the same domain, I open it on the current active window. I've read somewhere the opening links on a new window explicitly is being frowned upon. Thanks!

  I'm looking at maybe moving from an older AMD64 to a new Intel dual-core which is 32 bit. Installation isn't a problem but can I transfer all the installed apps? I haven't been able to find anything so far on Google except where the migration is to a similar platform and file-system. I won't change the filesystem but the platform will be different. • Twitter API with urllib2 in python

  I want to use the Twitter API in Python to lookup user ids from name using the lookup method. I have done similar requests simply using response = urllib2.urlopen('http://search.twitter.com...') but for this one I need authentication. I don't think I can do it through the Google python twitter API because it doesn't have the lookup method. Any ideas how can I can auth with urllib2??
