    I am new to eclipse and wanted to do the following;- 1) how to use my custom build commands with eclipse. Till now I only saw make all?I use a shell script for building my project, how can I use that in eclipse environment. 2) When I create a new project with the existing source code, it doesn't add the files, without building the code and if code fails to build (because I generally don't have make all).     A project I'm on requires Visual Studio 2005. One annoyance is that when a website project in the solution, any compile errors from .aspx or .ascx files show up like: (0,0): warning CS0168: The variable 'ex' is declared but never used (0,0): warning CS0162: Unreachable code detected (0,0): warning CS0168: The variable 'ex' is declared but never used (0,0): warning CS0168: The variable 'ex' is declared but never used How can I track these down? Is there an option I'm missing that gives me filename and line numbers?

  • Determining linkage dependencies in Flex applications

    I have a large Flex project with two Applications in it. A lot of code is shared between these Applications. However, the smaller of the Applications does not require much of the code that the larger one does. I'm trying to ensure that code that isn't required by the smaller application isn't getting compiled into it. Is there an easy way for me to determine which files within my project are being compiled into a particular Application?

  • C++ DLL-Linking UnResolved Externals

    I have a rather big Core project that I'm working with, I'm attempting to adapt it to use a DLL Engine I've built, I'm getting a bunch of errors like: unresolved external symbol "private: static class When including some of the headers from the Core in the DLL, the class is exported via __declspec(dllexport) but any header with static members throws out a crapload of errors regarding the static members. This is a rather big project, I can't exactly run around removing every static class member I see, is there anyway around this kind of thing?

It gives Warning: mysql_real_escape_string() [function.mysql-real-escape-string]: A link to the server could not be established. .... I went to php.net and look it up "Note: A MySQL connection is required before using mysql_real_escape_string() otherwise an error of level E_WARNING is generated, and FALSE is returned. My questions are: 1-why they put single quotation around mysql_real_escape_string ? 2-They should establish a connection first, then use the $filter array statement with mysql_real_escape_string ?

    Hello, i need to build the same source tree twice, 1 - with normal cflags to build the project binary 2 - with cflags plus -fPIC to build a static library that would be some sort of SDK to develop project dynamic modules. Using only one Makefile, what is the best approach to accomplish this? It would be nice to do some sort of : all: $(OBJECTS) lib_rule: $(OBJECTS) CFLAGS += -fPIC .cpp.o: $(CC) -c $< -o $@ $(CFLAGS) But obviously it can't be done. Thanks

I'm missing namespaces and I can't find the assemblies to add back to my references folder for my C# Project Microsoft.SqlServer.Dts.Pipeline for example is not one I find in the list of references in the .NET references tab. So how the hell do I get these SQL Server assemblies? Do I have to install the SQL Server 2008 sdk? Lost.

    Does the serialize function in jQuery replace dots ('.') with underscores? For example, I have a form field such as: <input id="Project.name" name="Project.name" type="text"> When the form is POSTed, I'm serializing the form data and sending it to another PHP file to save. The dots seem to be converted to underscores. Is this normal behavior?
