  • Updating access 2000 database through code in VB6

    I have an application that uses an access 2000 database currently in distribution. I need to update one of the recordsets with additional fields on my customer's computers. My data controls work fine as I have them set to connect in access 2000 format but when I try to open the database in code, I get an unrecognized data format error. What is the best way to replace or add to the database on their machines? Any help is greatly appreciated.

    In the Android open-source qemu code I ran across this line of code: machine->max_cpus = machine->max_cpus ?: 1; /* Default to UP */ It this just a confusing way of saying: if (machine->max_cpus) { ; //do nothing } else { machine->max_cpus = 1; } If so, wouldn't it be clearer as: if (machine->max_cpus == 0) machine->max_cpus = 1; Interestingly, this compiles and works fine with gcc, but doesn't compile on http://www.comeaucomputing.com/tryitout/ .

  • Java: Writing a DOM to an XML file (formatting issues)

    I'm using org.w3c XML API to open an existing XML file. I'm removing some nodes , and I'm adding others instead . The problem is that the new nodes that are added are written one after another , with no newline and no indentation what so ever. While it's true that the XML file is valid , it is very hard for a human to examnine it. Is there anyway to add indentation , or at least a newline after each node ?

Could someone help me find a function which will return a FILE* and use the Windows specific version of mkdir in order to create the folder structure for fopen to never fail to open a new file in the specified location because one of the folders does not exist.     Problem: I want to make iPhone OS 2.1 apps, but Xcode now always makes automatically an iPhone OS 3.0 project. I forgot about it and now I have an app which I want to test on my iPod touch, but I need to build OS 2.1. Is there a way to get this working? The dropdown from top left in Xcode only offers to build for OS 3.0 device. However, when I open old projects, there I have OS 2.1 available.
