  • Java / MySQL - How to access connection from another class?

    - by Alex
I'm just getting my head around java (and OOP for that matter), the only thing I am familiar with is MySQL. I need to keep the DB connection open throughout the duration of the application, as well as a server socket. I'm not even sure if they both need separate classes, but here's what I have so far: http://pastebin.com/qzMFFTrY (it wouldn't all go in a code tag) The variable I need is con for line 86.

  • Problems using LightBox 2 with IE7

    - by Ebircsa
I'm having a problem with IE7 when clicking on images that open up using the Lightbox 2 javascript image viewer. Instead of overlaying the image on the current page it opens the image into a separate page. Not sure if this is an AJAX problem possibly ? Works fine in Firefox. Anybody else come across this before ?

  • Ajax create div dynamically+javascript

    - by niao
Greetings, The question relates to ASP.NET MVC I am creating some divs dynamically using AJAX (some views render dynamically). Inside these views a have some JS code. When user click on link i would like to open dialog box with google map. However, because these views are rendered dynamically it does not work because js code is not injected (what can be seen in page source). How can I resolve this problem?

  • Change File ext with GreaseMonkey?

    - by acidzombie24
One of the sites i visit has an annoying habit of naming all their files showimage.php. When i save the image or file it saves as a .php so i cannot open the file. The worse part is, there is a &ext=zip&more=blah in the url. Is it possible to use greasemonkey to rename the file ext so it isnt php? (maybe injecting a content disposition header?)

  • how to read the contents of a file In Erlang ?

    - by Zubair
    I know you can do something like this: readlines(FileName) -> {ok, Device} = file:open(FileName, [read]), get_all_lines(Device, []). get_all_lines(Device, Accum) -> case io:get_line(Device, "") of eof -> file:close(Device), Accum; Line -> get_all_lines(Device, Accum ++ [Line]) end. : Is there a one liner BIF that can do this too?

  • Using an icon for links opening an lightbox

    - by Logistetica
Hi, On one of our sites we decided to use lighboxes in 2 instances. I am aware of pros and cons of using lightboxes so this is not a topic for a discussion. But I'd like to get your opinion about using small icons denouncing that clicking link will open a lightbox. Something like below. What do you think?

  • Can I upload an object in memory to FTP using Python?

    - by fsckin
Here's what I'm doing now: mysock = urllib.urlopen('http://localhost/image.jpg') fileToSave = mysock.read() oFile = open(r"C:\image.jpg",'wb') oFile.write(fileToSave) oFile.close f=file('image.jpg','rb') ftp.storbinary('STOR '+os.path.basename('image.jpg'),f) os.remove('image.jpg') Writing files to disk and then imediately deleting them seems like extra work on the system that should be avoided. Can I upload an object in memory to FTP using Python?
