  • Overriding iPhone shutter sound through SDK

    In my iPhone app, I am using the UIImagePickerController with source type UIImagePickerControllerSourceTypeCamera. When the user takes a picture, the phone plays the familiar camera shutter sound. How can I replace this with my own custom sound? I know it's possible because I've seen other apps from the App Store do it (e.g. Red Laser). Thanks in advance!

The code has been written over seven years, with a large number of undocumented changes. Are there any tool tah can assist me in tracing the execution? Putting a breakpoint is not helping me much.

I tried to check for !isNull, but same problem. I have a lots of differend MDB Files to process, which are readonly (can't repair/compact) and some or others not. Same Design/Layout of Tables. With good old ASP Classic 3.0 all of them are processing with the "On Resume Next". I know I know. But that's how it is. Can't change the source. So the basic question: So is there any way to tell .NET to continue the loop whatever happens within the try loop if there is any exception?   • Git/SVN for asp.net development instead of VSS?

    At work, we are using ASP.net 2.0 and VSS. VSS is a beast, we are continually having issues with people checking out files and there is no branching - makes it crazy. I know SVN/GIT is mainly used by open source developers, are there any downsides to ASP.NET developers using it? I have been pushing for SVN internally, but am thinking GIT might also be a great option. Our team is spread across 3 continents.

  • Can't change Joomla Default language

    On this site http://www.bostonteaclub.com I want the default language to be Chinese. I set the default language to Chinese in the backend (it's got the star next to it) but when you went to the page you probably noticed that the site is in english. If you check the source code you will see on the very bottom hidden a var_dump of the language object, and by the looks of it the default is still en-GB ["_default"]=> string(5) "en-GB" Why is this? For example... alert(document.getElementById('swfObject').id); ...returns a pop-up of "swfObject". And this... document.getElementById('swfObject').someMethod(); ...executes someMethod. Thanks.

    In the source code of the Perl module CGI.pm, in the submodule CGI::Cookies.pm, there is the following line: $raw_cookie = $ENV{HTTP_COOKIE} || $ENV{COOKIE}; I'm interested in $ENV{COOKIE} here. Are there any web servers (obsolete or otherwise) which transmit cookie information using the COOKIE environment variable instead of the HTTP_COOKIE used by Apache? I've never seen COOKIE and other CGI libraries don't seem to support it.

For example, if the user writes "Co" followed by "ol" and presses OK, the text is stored as "Cool" as an image in a field on the form displayed on the phone. (No handwriting recognition or OCR required) I have seen the Canvas class in Android, but how would you concatenate all the letters/set of characeters and convert them to image ? Is there any open source project that does something similar ?

The animation that I want is a flip vertically of the row. I am displaying some data in each row and what I want to do is displaying the source of the data "on the back" of the row, so to speak.
