    can I run C# built-in unit test in build machine which doesn't have Visual Studio installed? We are thinking add unit test to our Visual Studio 2008 C# project. Our build machine doesn't have VS installed and we want to integrate the new unit test with our auto-build system. Is MSTest the executable to launch the Team Test unit test?

  • Should I use ICommand or Expression.Interactions InvokeCommand for MVVM in Silverlight 4?

    I'm about to embark on a new project in Silverlight 4, and definitely want to take advantage of the MVVM pattern, now I've finally grasped the basics. For implementing commands in Silverlight 4 it seems there are rather a lot of options ranging from the new built-in Command/ICommand option on the Button, over the InvokeCommand defined in the Microsoft.Expressions.Interactivity namespace and on to the range of assisting MVVM frameworks (Prism, MVVMlight etc). Does anyone here have gotcha's, experience and wisdom to share on this subject?

    <Binary Id="binUpdate" SourceFile="c:\xxx\Update.exe"/> <CustomAction Id="Update" BinaryKey="binUpdate" Execute="deferred" ExeCommand="c:\xxx" /> When I build a Wix project with the above custom action, it complains that "The system cannot find the file 'C:\xxx\Update.exe". This update.exe is deployed by the same msi. So, how do I make Wix to ignore the fact that the file does not exist on my build machine? Thanks in advance

  • Changing Window Title in Interface Builder

    Hi all, I'm new to Objective C and Cocoa - and I'm having a really hard time changing the title on one of my windows. Usually I would press the outside of the window, and then in Window Attributes Inspector there's the title area - however for this particular project it has a name in that box and when I run the application, the title bar still says untitled. Am I missing something? I haven't binded the title to a data source or anything.

    Hi all, Would like to know if there is a setting anywhere which causes debugging to automatically stop when IE closes, and also if there is a way for this to work the other way around and IE to close if debugging stops.     It seem that the only implementation that provide Safe Cross-Thread Signals for both the Signal class and what's being called in the slot is QT. (Maybe I'm wrong?). But I cannot use QT in the project I'm doing. So how could I provide safe Slots call from a different thread (Using Boost::signals2 for example)? Are mutex inside the slot the only way? I think signals2 protect themself but not what's being done inside the slot. Thanks

    I am trying to develop an android application that could store whatever the user writes on screen as an image. For example, if the user writes "Co" followed by "ol" and presses OK, the text is stored as "Cool" as an image in a field on the form displayed on the phone. (No handwriting recognition or OCR required) I have seen the Canvas class in Android, but how would you concatenate all the letters/set of characeters and convert them to image ? Is there any open source project that does something similar ?

I have hooked up a high resolution camera to my system to capture (moving) images into my c# app. Now all I need is a way to interpret these images into something readable.
