  • iTunes RSS Feed returning max. 100 items instead of 300

    I tried the iTunes RSS generator at http://itunes.apple.com/rss/generator/ to download the newest 300 games, which gave me the RSS Feed URL http://itunes.apple.com/us/rss/newapplications/limit=300/genre=6014/xml. However, only 100 are returned, and alphabetically sorted, so the list stops at the letter E ... Did Apple restrict the amount of items one could get without updating their RSS Feed Generator? Or am I missing something?

  • How to output items in Order in MySQL?

    I have a column called "menu_order" which has no default value. When I select the contents of this column using the following select statement: SELECT * FROM categories ORDER BY menu_order ASC It lists the category items that have nothing as their menu order first and then the one's that have 1's and 2's and 3's. Is there any way to prevent SQL from take nothing to come before numbers when I am trying to list things in order? So for example, if I have: cat_name | menu_order ---------------------- Lunch | 1 Dinner | And I perform my query, the output should be: Lunch Dinner Not: Dinner Lunch

  • What kind of string is this? What can I do in php to read it?

    This is a string (see below, after the dashed line) in a database.inf file for a free program I downloaded that lists some websites. The file is plain text as you can see , but there is a string after it that looks base64 encoded (due to the end chars of ==). But b64_decoding it gives giberish. I wanted to decode it so I could add to the list of sites it had (the program lists a bunch of sites and data about them which I can read in the GUI) and to do that I need to decode this, add to it, and re-encode it. I think the program uses .net since I think the .net library was required on install, but I know nothing of the original source language. I am using php to figure out if there is a simple way to read this. I have tried using unpack, binhex, base_convert, etc as I suspect the file is binary at some level, but I am lost. Nothing illegal, just wanting to know what it is and if I can add a few things to it to make it more useful for me. here is the file - any ideas how to decode and recode this for playing with?     I'm reading about how to put a makefile together, but no-one seems to mention what to do if your files require different sets of libraries, they all seem to use the same set of libraries for each file. Since it seems unlikely that every single file has the same libraries, I take it the list they use must amalgamate all of the libraries required across the project. I just wanted to know if there's any downside to including too many libraries, or if the compiler works out which ones are needed and ignores the rest? Thanks
