• ASP FPDF, problem with inserting image

  Hi there, I have some problem with inserting image when i generate pdf using FPDF library (ASP port version) you can get it here ASP FPDF I have tried this code (this was ASP VBScript): pdf.Image Server.MapPath("map.jpg"), 10, 10, 800, 400 pdf.Image "map.jpg", 10, 10, 800, 400 pdf.Image "http://localhost/pdf_test/map.jpg", 10, 10, 800, 400 None of the codes above work... it keeps throw an error: Microsoft JScript runtime error '800a138f' Object expected /pdf/libs/fpdf.asp, line 817 And from fpdf.asp line 817 (This was ASP JScript): type=SupposeImageType(xfile); However, without inserting image(s) a.k.a text-only pdf it works fine.   I'd like to implement zoom function while Ctrl key is pressed. But the MouseWheel event is not trigger while the mouse is over the ScrollView.   Hi, I wonder if anyone can help out here, I'm trying to understand how use an objects properties across multiple non class pages,but I can't seem to be able to get my head around everything i have tried so far. For example a class called person; class person { static $name; } but i have a number of different regular pages that want to utilize $name across the board. I have trying things like this; pageone.php include "person.php"; $names = new Person(); echo person::$name; names::$name='bob'; pagetwo.php include "person.php"; echo person::$name; I can work with classes to the extent I'm OK as long as I am creating new instances every page, but how can make the properties of one object available to all, like a shared variable ? • Matlab and .NET Interaction

  Hi All! I'm having an issue interacting between Matlab and .NET. I've managed to call .NET methods from Matlab code and vice versa. However, if I call a .NET method that, in turn, instantiates a Matlab object, it crashes (with a type initialization exception). Think about this scenario: a .NET assembly is interacting with a Matlab dll that was deployed for .NET (not native) by Matlab's deploytool. Now, when I'm loading the above .NET dll in a Matlab program everything is ok until I run a method that utilizes the other Matlab dll. Only then everything crashes. The exact message is: Warning: Cannot initialize MATLAB Compiler-generated software component in MATLAB. MATLAB Compiler-generated software components cannot be used from within MATLAB. Please don't offer not to use Matlab-.NET-Matlab architecture, it's not an option. Thank you very much (I promise to accept the answer that solves the problem :-)), Yaron.

  I get an error when build static lib with NDK on Windows platform: process_begin: CreateProcess( "PATH"\android-ndk-r8b\toolchains\arm-linux-androideabi-4.6\prebuilt\windows\bin\arm-linux-androideabi-ar.exe, "some other commands" ) failed. make (e=87): The parameter is incorrect. make: *** [obj/local/armeabi-v7a/staticlib.a] Error 87 make: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs.... All source files build successfully, and this error occur when compose object files. I don't get this error when build this project in Ubuntu, it occur only on Windows. I suppose I found the issue: second parameter of CreateProcess Win API function lpCommandLine has max length 32,768 characters. But in my case it is more than 32,768 characters. How I can solve this issue?

• JSON Feed Returning null while using jQuery getJSON

I have to have a server admin update the feed to my liking, so if you can tell me how to get this to work as is, without adding tags to my HTML please let me know. I will be using this with jQuery, and ive been trying to use getJSON which is what returns null. $.getJSON('http://portlandonline.com/shared/cfm/json.cfm?c=27321',function(json){ alert(json); }); that returns null. But if i use a flickr feed for example, it works fine. it returns what it should, [onject Object]. Any ideas?

  I'm trying to call a parameterized stored procedure from SQL Server 2005 in my C# Winforms app. I add the parameters like so (there are 88 of them): cmd.Parameters.Add("@CustomerName", SqlDbType.VarChar, 100).Value = CustomerName.Text; I get the following exception: "System.InvalidCastException: Failed to convert parameter value from a TextBox to a String. ---> System.InvalidCastException: Object must implement IConvertible." The line throwing the error is when I call the query: cmd.ExecuteNonQuery(); I also tried using the .ToString() method on the TextBoxes, which seemed pointless anyway, and threw the same error. Am I passing the parameters incorrectly? Thanks for the help.

• Google Chrome: XMLHttpRequest.send() not working while doing POST.

  I'm working on an application that allows the user to send a file using a form (a POST request), and that executes a series of GET requests while that file is being uploaded to gather information about the state of the upload. It works fine in IE and Firefox, but not so much in Chrome and Safari. The problem is that even though send() is called on the XMLHttpRequest object, nothing is being requested as can be seen in Fiddler. To be more specific, an event handler is placed on the "submit" event of the form, that places a timeout function call on the window: window.setTimeout(startPolling, 10); and in this function "startPolling" sequence is started that keeps firing GET requests to receive status updates from a web service that returns text/json that can be used to update the UI. Is this a limitation (perhaps security-wise?) on WebKit based browsers? Is this a Chrome bug? (I'm seeing the same behaviour in Safari though).

• MVC Dropdown List isn't binding to the model.

  Hi, I am trying set up a simple dropdown list but I dont seem to be able to get it to bind to the Model. I am using Asp.Net MVC and nhibernate. My dropdown list is declared like so: <%= Html.DropDownListFor(model => model.Project, (IEnumerable<SelectListItem>)ViewData["Projects"], " -- Select -- ", new { name = "Project" })%> I set up the select list like so: ViewData["Projects"] = new SelectList(projectRepository.GetAll(), "EntityGUID", "Name", editEntity.Project); This seems to bind the select list to the Dropdown fine, but the SelectedValue is not set. it shows up as the default --- Select --- Also when I save this data, the dropdown does not bind to the model, I have to manually set the object like so to save it: entity.Project = projectRepository.GetById(new Guid(Request["Project"].ToString())); I believe I have take the correct messures to have this item bind directly to my model.   My site is using enterprise library v 5.0. Mainly the DAAB. Some functions such as executescalar, executedataset are working as expected. The problems appear when I start to use Readers I have this function in my includes class: Public Function AssignedDepartmentDetail(ByVal Did As Integer) As SqlDataReader Dim reader As SqlDataReader Dim Command As SqlCommand = db.GetSqlStringCommand("select seomthing from somewhere where something = @did") db.AddInParameter(Command, "@did", Data.DbType.Int32, Did) reader = db.ExecuteReader(Command) reader.Read() Return reader End Function This is called from my aspx.vb like so: reader = includes.AssignedDepartmentDetail(Did) If reader.HasRows Then TheModule = reader("templatefilename") PageID = reader("id") Else TheModule = "#" End If This gives the following error on db.ExecuteReader line: Unable to cast object of type 'Microsoft.Practices.EnterpriseLibrary.Data.RefCountingDataReader' to type 'System.Data.SqlClient.SqlDataReader'. Can anyone shed any light on how I go about getting this working. Will I always run into problems when dealing with readers via entlib?

• Variable number of arguments in an Axis2 POJO

  I have a web service that I built with Axis2/Java. The web service will take in a list of objects and will process them. I'll use the following operation as an example. public class AddToDatabaseService{ public void addToDatabase(String name1, String name2, String name3, ....) { //add names to database } } I want the caller of my web service to use a URI like: http://localhost:8080/axis2/services/addToDatabase?name1=Joe&name2=Bob&name3=Kelly&name4=... I'm aware this is not compilable code and the idea is still there. Is this even possible with SOAP-based web services? I know this is possible to do with RESTful services because you can just take the HttpServletRequest request object and do Enumeration enumeration = request.getParameterNames() and iterate through them. I'm looking for the equivalent of that in web services POJO's with Axis2. A link or an sample program would be great! Thanks.

• NATUPnP IStaticPortMappingCollection::Add returns HRESULT 0x80040214

  I'm attempting to use Microsoft's NATUPnP library to create a port mapping. Unfortunately, I'm unable to. My router supports UPnP, it is enabled, and I can create mappings with other (pre-built) applications. I can also read existing mappings. When I call the Add function, it fails and returns HRESULT 0x80040214 (which is undocumented). I have absolutely no idea what might be going on. IStaticPortMapping* newMapping = NULL; hr = portMappings->Add(27015, L"TCP", 27015, L"MYCOMPUTER", VARIANT_TRUE, L"TestMapping", &newMapping); You can see the reference for this function at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa366148%28v=VS.85%29.aspx. The portMappings object is, of course, valid; I use it earlier in the code to enumerate over the existing mappings. If anyone has experience with this and might know what my problem is, I'd appreciate any help.

• TaskFactory.StartNew versus ThreadPool.QueueUserWorkItem

  Apparently the TaskFactory.StartNew method in .NET 4.0 is intended as a replacement for ThreadPool.QueueUserWorkItem (according to this post, anyway). My question is simple: does anyone know why? Does TaskFactory.StartNew have better performance? Does it use less memory? Or is it mainly for the additional functionality provided by the Task class? In the latter case, does StartNew possibly have worse performance than QueueUserWorkItem? It seems to me that StartNew would actually potentially use more memory than QueueUserWorkItem, since it returns a Task object with every call and I would expect that to result in more memory allocation. In any case, I'm interested to know which is more appropriate for a high-performance scenario.

  I have my own TreeView control which is completely OwnerDraw'ed: myTreeView.DrawMode = TreeViewDrawMode.OwnerDrawAll; What I try to achieve is to draw the opened/closed glyph according to the current explorer theme. Especially on Vista and Win7 boxes I'd like to see the new glyphes (black triangles) instead of the plus/minus signs. I know, for a non-OwnerDraw'ed TreeView this can be achieved as follows which works perfectly: myTreeView.HandleCreated += delegate(object sender, EventArgs args) { MyNativeMethods.SetWindowTheme(myTreeView.Handle, "explorer", null); }; I thought a VisualStyleRenderer let me paint the glyphs theme-aware: VisualStyleRenderer r = new VisualStyleRenderer(VisualStyleElement.TreeView.Glyph.Opened); r.DrawBackground(e.Graphics, e.Bounds); The code above unfortunately draws the minus sign in all cases. It looks like the VisualStyleRenderer does not honour the theme setting. Can someone shed some light on this? Thanks!

  I have a problem getting my word and excel to work in ASP .NET. I get the error message: {System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {000209FF-0000-0000-C000-000000000046} failed due to the following error: 80070005. at xxx.Utility.WordDocument..ctor(String filePath, HttpServerUtility util) at customer_communication.BuCreate_click(Object sender, EventArgs e) in This means I have access problem to the DCOM files. In Vista this isnt a problem, all I have to do there is to run "dcomcnfg" and in there find the Microsoft Excel dcom file. In Windows 7 I cant find it, and I have no idea what to do now... If anyone could help me that would be great!

The second argument is defineds as a string and I have attempted to input it directly as a string and base64_encoded string (error: Length of the data to decrypt is invalid), an array and an associative array both string and base64_encoded string and get the error above. Any help would be appreciated.
