• JQuery - Slide Example

  Hi All, I want to perform a simple slide motion on an HTML element. JQuery is already available on the site in question so the next logical step for me was to look at their documentation. JQuery - Slide down When I check out their demo however, it doesn't seem to be functioning. In firebug they have an error; missing ) after argument list wyciwyg://0/http://docs.jquery.com/UI/Effects/Slide Line 18 Whilst the error seems simple, I can't work out how to correct it (On thier site by editing the JS). On my own site using the same example an error is found in the JQuery 1.4.2 script itself; jQuery.easing[specialEasing || defaultEasing] is not a function file:///home/gav/ee-workspaces/web/site/php/jquery-1.4.2.js Line 5854 I don't mean to sound lazy / rude but what's going on? Is the JQuery site and newest release actually broken, I doubt it, what am I doing wrong? I'm a CS grad with no real web dev experience so I'm not used to this method of debugging, where should I start with this? Thanks, Gav

  I am (finally) attempting to write some integration tests for my application (because every deploy is getting scarier). When the test runs, I am getting the error: The error occurred while evaluating nil.set_facebook_session. I believe that error is to be expected in a certain sense since I am not using Facebook here for this session. Can anyone provide any insight as to how to either get around this or at least help me out with what is going wrong?

• ASP.NET MVC2: Client-side validation not working with Start.js

  Ok, this is strange. I would hope it's something I'm doing wrong and not that MS has two technologies that simply don't work together. (UPDATE: See bottom of post for Script tag order in HEAD section) I'm trying to use the dataView template and client-side validation. • log4net affecting other projects which don't even use it

  I'm seeing something really strange happening with some projects I'm working on. I used log4net in an MVC web site and this was working great. I then was working on a totally unrelated Console application which uses the SharePoint API and as soon as I include the following line (other lines don't cause the problem) SPLimitedWebPartManager spWebPartManager = web.GetLimitedWebPartManager("http://blah/blah.aspx?PageView=Shared", System.Web.UI.WebControls.WebParts.PersonalizationScope.Shared); I get the following message in the console app log4net:ERROR XmlConfigurator: Failed to find configuration section 'log4net' in the application's .config file. Check your .config file for the <log4net> and < configSections> elements. The configuration section should look like: <section n ame="log4net" type="log4net.Config.Log4NetConfigurationSectionHandler,log4net" / > log4net:ERROR XmlConfigurator: Failed to find configuration section 'log4net' in the application's .config file. Check your .config file for the <log4net> and < configSections> elements. The configuration section should look like: <section n ame="log4net" type="log4net.Config.Log4NetConfigurationSectionHandler,log4net" / > I get this twice after a small delay. The delay is probably the request to get the web part manager from the page but I'm not sure why this log4net error is showing up in this project. I've gone through the code and bin folders etc. and found no trace of any log4net mentions. Any ideas why this might be happening?

  When I visit appstats page and expand callstack, the file path has <path[N]> prefix. So click the file link then emit no such file or directory error. If your request handlers modify sys.path, you must make the same modifications to sys.path in appengine_config.py so the Appstats web interface can see all files. Actually I'm using appengine_django and two path was inserted to sys.path. I did it same again at appengine_django.py but also failed. Maybe some custom setting with appengine_config.py can solve this problem but doesn't figure out how to fix it. What can I do?

  I recently decided to switch from Eclipse to Android Studio. I imported a project I was working on and am now getting this error when I try to run the project.   I am trying to use NServiceBus with an ASP.NET MVC 2 website (using VS 2010 and the .NET 4.0 framework). However, when I run the site on my local machine, I get the following error: Unable to load one or more of the requested types. Retrieve the LoaderExceptions property for more information. • FxCop hates my usage of MVVM

  I've just started to work with FxCop to see how poorly my code does against its full set of rules. I'm starting off with the "Breaking" rules, and the first one I came across was CA2227, which basically says that you should make a collection property's setter readonly, so that you can't accidentally change the collection data. Since I'm using MVVM, I've found it very convenient to use an ObservableCollection with get/set properties because it makes my GUI updates easy and concise in the code-behind. However, I can also see what FxCop is complaining about. Another situation that I just ran into is with WF, where I need to set the parameters when creating the workflow, and I'd hate to have to write a wrapper class around the collection I'm using just to avoid this particular error message. For example, here's a sample runtime error message that I get when I make properties readonly: The activity 'MyWorkflow' has no public writable property named 'MyCollectionOfStuff' What are you opinions on this? I could either ignore this particular error, but that's probably not good because I could conceivably violate this rule elsewhere in the code where MVVM doesn't apply (model only code, for example). I think I could also change it from a property to a class with methods to manipulate the underlying collection, and then raise the necessary notification from the setter method. I'm a little confused... can anyone shed some light on this?

• PHP session_write_close() causes empty response

  When using session_write_close() in a shutdown function at the end of my script - PHP just dies. There is no error logged, response headers (firebug), or data (even whitespace!) returned. I have full PHP error reporting on with STRICT enabled and PHP 5.2.1. My guess is that since session_write_close() is being called after shutdown - some fatal error is being encountered that crashes PHP before it has a chance to send the output or log anything. This only happens on the logout page where I first: ... //If there is no session to delete (not started) if ( ! session_id()) { return; } // Get the session name $name = session_name(); // Delete the session cookie (if exists) if ( ! empty($_COOKIE[$name])) { //Get the current cookie config $params = session_get_cookie_params(); // Delete the cookie from globals unset($_COOKIE[$name], $_SESSION); //Delete the cookie on the user_agent setcookie($name, '', time()-43200, $params['path'], $params['domain'], $params['secure']); } // Destroy the session session_destroy(); ... then 2) do some more stuff 3) issue a redirect and 4) finally, after the whole page is done the register_shutdown_function(); I placed earlier runs and calls session_write_close() which saves the session to the database. The end. Since this blank response only occurs on logout I'm guessing that I'm not restarting the session properly which is causing session_write_close() to die fatally at the end of the script.

• QWebView not loading external resources

  Hi. I'm working on a kiosk web browser using Qt and PyQt4. QWebView seems to work quite well except for one quirk. If a URL fails to load for any reason, I want to redirect the user to a custom error page. I've done this using the loadFinished() signal to check the result, and change the URL to the custom page if necessary using QWebView.load(). However, any page I attempt to load here fails to pull in external resources like CSS or images. Using QWebView.load() to set the initial page at startup seems to work fine, and clicking any link on the custom error page will result in the destination page loading fine. It's just the error page that doesn't work. I'm really not sure where to go next. I've included the source for an app that will replicate the problem below. It takes a URL as a command line argument - a valid URL will display correctly, a bad URL (eg. • Salesforce/PHP - outbound messages (SOAP) - memory limit issue

  I'm using Salesforce to send outbound messages (via SOAP) to another server. The server can process about 8 messages at a time, but will not send back the ACK file if the SOAP request contains more than 8 messages. SF can send up to 100 outbound messages in 1 SOAP request and I think this is causing a memory issue with PHP. If I process the outbound messages 1 by 1 they all go through fine, I can even do 8 at a time with no issues. But larger sets are not working. ERROR in SF: org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: Premature end of file Looking in the HTTP error logs I see that the incoming SOAP message looks to be getting cut of which throws a PHP warning stating: Premature end of data in tag ... PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function getAttribute() on a non-object This leads me to believe that PHP is having a memory issue and can not parse the incoming message due to it's size. I was thinking I could just set: ini_set('memory_limit', '64M'); But would this be the correct approach? Is there a way I could set this to increase with the incoming SOAP request dynamically? • Trouble running setup package after Publishing in Visual Studio 2008

  I've got a small winform application that I've written that is running fine in the IDE. It builds with no errors or warnings. It's not using any third party controls. I'm coding in C# in Visual Studio 2008. When I Build -- Publish the application, everything seems to work fine. What causes this error? I know it is at detach, but what am I doing wrong in my code? Windows shows lots of free memory, so it should not be the computer running out of memory, this error occurs even if I set $maxthreads as low as 10 or possibly even lower.

  Hi everybody, I'm currently reading the Mathematica Guidebooks for Programming and I was trying to work out one of the very first program of the book. Basically, when I run the following program: Plot3D[{Re[Exp[1/(x + I y)]]}, {x, -0.02, 0.022}, {y, -0.04, 0.042}, PlotRange -> {-1, 8}, PlotPoints -> 120, Mesh -> False, ColorFunction -> Function[{x1, x2, x3}, Hue[Arg[Exp[1/(x1 + I x2)]]]]] either I get a 1/0 error and e^\infinity error or, if I lower the PlotPoints options to, say, 60, an overflow error. I have a working output though, but it's not what it's supposed to be. The hue seems to be diffusing off the left corner whereas it should be diffusing of the origin (as can be seen on the original output) Here is the original program which apparently runs on Mathematica 5 (Trott, Mathematica Guidebook for Programming): Off[Plot3D::gval]; Plot3D[{Re[Exp[1/(x + I y)]], Hue[Arg[Exp[1/(x + I y)]]]}, {x, -0.02, 0.022}, {y, -0.04, 0.042}, PlotRange -> {-1, 8}, PlotPoints -> 120, Mesh -> False] Off[Plot3D::gval]; However, ColorFunction used this way (first Plot3D argument) doesn't work and so I tried to simply adapt to its new way of using it.   i am trying to compile my program which uses regex on linux. I built the boost library in the libs/regex/build by typing make -fgcc.mak which created a directory gcc which contains the following four files boost_regex-gcc-1_35 boost_regex-gcc-d-1_35 libboost_regex-gcc-1_35.a libboost_regex-gcc-d-1_35.a Now I want to use regex from my program which is in some arbitrary directory. I #included boost/regex.hpp I got the error which stated that regex.hpp is not found. Then I gave the -I option in the g++ compiler. I didn't get that error. But I get the following error undefined reference to `boost::re_detail::perl_matcher<__gnu_cxx::__normal_iterator<char const*, std::basic_string<char, std::char_traits<char>, std::allocator<char> > >, std::allocator<boost::sub_match<__gnu_cxx::__normal_iterator<char const*, std::basic_string<char, std::char_traits<char>, std::allocator<char> > > > >, boost::regex_traits<char, boost::cpp_regex_traits<char> > >::construct_init(boost::basic_regex<char, boost::regex_traits<char, boost::cpp_regex_traits<char> > > const&, boost::regex_constants::_match_flags)' I googled and found that I need to somehow link one of the above 4 libraries to my program. How can I do it. Which one should I link and why?

• SugarCRM SOAP set_relationship between Contacts and Prospect lists bug

  Hey! I am trying to create a relationship between a Prospect List (target list) and a Contact. I create a new contact and get the id of a prospect list all using classes I created which are just wrappers for the soap api calls sugar provides. But the code boils down to this soap call: $this->_sugarsoap->client->__soapCall('set_relationship', array($this->getSessionid(),$relationship)); $this-getSessionid() Is the session Id and $relationship is an array which holds this: array 0 => string 'ProspectLists' (length=13) 1 => string '180ab1f5-cf7e-d386-50f8-4c18a790e016' (length=36) 2 => string 'Contacts' (length=8) 3 => string '76323942-8cbb-3224-f18a-4c19efa80a1b' (length=36) After I try this I always get this error: (I do a var_dump of the returned values of the soap call) object(stdClass)[5] public 'number' => string '20' (length=2) public 'name' => string 'Module Does Not Exist' (length=21) public 'description' => string 'This module is not available on this server' (length=43) This seems like a sugarcrm bug because I do have the contacts module and also the prospect lists module. I know this for a fact because I add a contact via the soap call and also retrieve the id of a prospect list via the soap call. I found this thread in the sugar forums and I did try the code given there but I still got the same error. Anyone have a solution for this? I really need to associate a contact to a prospect list (target list) via a soap call. I am using SugarCRM 5.5.0 (I also tried with sugarcrm 5.5.2 and got the same error) on ubuntu server using mysql. Thanks!

  I have a set of 4 checkboxes, all with different names, and require that at least 1 is checked. I know there are a few posts on here already trying to answer this question. The solution that seems to be most logical to me is the answer posted on Question 1734840, but I can't seem to get it working! What's wrong with my code? Or any other new coding ideas to get this working? I have set the class on all of them to 'require-one'.   I'm trying to answer the following question out of personal interest: What is the fastest way to send 100,000 HTTP requests in Python? And this is what I have came up so far, but I'm experiencing something very stange. When installSignalHandlers is True, it just hangs. I can see that the DelayedCall instances are in reactor._newTimedCalls, but processResponse never gets called. I'm trying to build a handshake protocol for my own project and am having issues with the server converting the clients RSA's public key to a Bignum. It works in my clent code, but the server segfaults when attempting to convert the hex value of the clients public RSA to a bignum.
