    I saw Google Images seems to index my images only if hotlink protection is off. * I use anyway hotlink protection because I don't like the idea of people sucking my bandwidth, i simply this code to protcet my sites from being hotlinked: RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^$ RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http(s)?://(www\.)?mydomain\.com/.*$ [NC] RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http(s)?://(www\.)?mydomain\.com$ [NC] RewriteRule .*\.(jpg|jpeg|png|gif)$ - [F,NC,L] But in order to allow Google Image search to bypass my hotlink protection (I want Google Images search to show my images) would it suffice to add a line like this one: RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http(s)?://(www\.)?google\.com/.*$ [NC] RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http(s)?://(www\.)?google\.com$ [NC] Because I'm wondring: is the crawler crawling just from google.com? and what about google.it / google.co.uk, etc.? FYI: on Google official guidelines I did not find info about this. I suppose hotlink protection prevents Google Images to show images in its results because I did some tests and it seems hotlink protection does prevent my images to be shown in Google Images search.

  • Is it possible for a web-server to send more files than requested for, and have the browser accept them?

    I've created a basic web server for a school project, and it serves static content without a problem. I thought of having the server parse all htm/html files for links to .js/.css/image files, and send these files to the client without these files being requested by the client later. eg. The browser requests: index.htm The server responds with intex.htm and image.jpg I modified the server to send two distinct http responses for a "GET /index.html HTTP1.1" (one for the html page and one for the image), but the browser ended up requesting the image when it was good and ready. Is there any way to bypass this? (use a multipart response, perhaps) Will these files be accepted by most browsers, or will they be rejected for security reasons?

  • 12.04 in Virtualbox is keep losing my wireless connection

    I've Windows 7 as the Host OS, Ubuntu 12.04 as the guest and a Netgear WG111v2 as the USB Wireless device. Its connected to an open Wi-Fi network at work to bypass my works crazy strict filtering, When on the domain. I currently have network eth0 turned off in the virtualbox settings so the only network source would be through the USB device at wlan1. Its odd but the wireless seems extremely temperamental, I constantly have to ifconfig wlan down then ifconfig wlan1 up to get it back online. I know this might be super vague just curious if anyone has tried something like this or run into anything like it to point me in a direction I might not be seeing.

    I am writing an webscrapper, to do the download content from a website. Traversing to the website/URL, triggers the creation of a temporary URL. This new URL has a zipped text file. This zipped file is to be downloaded and parsed. I have written a scrapper in C# using WebClient and its function - DownloadFileAsync(). The zipped file is read from the designated location on a trapped DownloadFileCompleted event. My issue : The Windows 'Open/Save dialog is triggered". This requires user input and the automation is disrupted. Can you suggest a way to bypass the issue ? I am cool with rewriting the code using any alternate libraries. :) Thanks for reading,

  • power manger keeps on shuting down the display even when i state in the power manger to never do that.

    i'm probably missing something here, i'm using the default ubuntu power manger, i setup it like that: on AC: no screen dimming when ideal. never put computer to sleep. never put display to sleep. on battery i kept the default setting. and still ubuntu does what ever it likes :\ , after 15 min it puts the display to sleep. any one having the same problem and found a way to bypass it? im using eee pc with ubuntu 10.10 desktop.

    I'm planning to write/code one such stealth keylogger that would bypass detection by a certain antivirus. (I don't want to name the vendor as I know how good Google queries are against StackExchange websites). I don't want to just download any keylogger from internet and try to encode it to evade detection. Writing code myself I would have the ability to make changes as I go; obscuration on both high-level and low-level language. I like control too. It seems naive but is it true that keyloggers are a thing of the past, probably because of how effective AV's have become in detecting such programs? I want some nice points on how can one easily write a robust, effective key logger preferably for a Windows environment?

  • frequency out of range - please change display mode

    I just downloaded the latest version of the Ubuntu live CD, and have installed it on a desktop computer (a Fujitsu Scaleo P). Once installed it seems to work perfectly, although there are some updates recommended in the Update Manager. My problem is that, after having installed these updates and restarted the computer, I get this message on my monitor, and no Ubuntu interface is visible: frequency out of range - please change display mode I do not know how to change this when I can't access an interface. Is there a command that will bypass trying to boot the GUI and let me change the display mode via a CLI? I am brand new to Ubuntu and any help on this would be much appreciated.

    I am a new user of Ubuntu. I would like to install a persistent Ubuntu 11.04 to my USB stick, and it should be able to work as a guest OS running on Windows so that I can boot it on other computers other than the one which I used for the installation. I have used several creators such as unetbootin, however from my understanding it can only create Live Linux which I am unable to save my configurations and files. If it's possible I would like to bypass the BIOS, that is to say that I can just load from the virtual machine without having to restart the computer. Thanks in advance!

Preferably they should apply and I or administrators approve their applications. Is there any online platform for this? The main reason for the control/security is to possibly prevent malware makers to easily discover how to bypass the stealth checking methods it utilizes for malware detection.     I'm 17 years old and wish to post an application on the iOS App Store. My situation is a little different to other users doing the same thing, though. I'm finding this very frustrating. It's very annoying that Apple don't let younger talent post themselves. Is it true that if I do post under my Father's name I can choose a different name to be listed on the app store? I want to keep this professional, I don't want my father's name to appear underneath the application on the store. :P I have registered myself as the company director of a private limited company. Even though I'm the only one in the company, is this a way to bypass the 18+ restriction or do I need a minimum of 2 employees? Why the hell has this been closed? Thanks

    When I'm working I feel like most of the time I'm not doing actual work. For example after making a change to the code in order to test it, I have to first build the project, and start the server(say JBoss). Upon testing, I find that there is another small issue. So I bring down the server, make the changes, build again and start up the server again.The building and bringing the server up/down is not very useful work. Also, the IDE (lets say Eclipse) does things such as updating Maven indexes and building the workspace which take some more time to get things done. Have you come across this kind of situation? Do you have tips on how to overcome/bypass this? Any features on the IDE/build tools that can be helpful? Any architecture/application design/technology that attempts to overcome this?

  • Given a used laptop with Ubuntu installed, how do I get past the password demands?

    Recently given a laptop with Ubuntu 12.1 installed alongside Windows 7. Can only access Ubuntu, which is fine for everyday use (LibreOffice, Firefox, etc.) but there's an authentication password required to install the 500+ updates, and when trying to run anything in terminal, it asks for "quiz's" password. It won't allow me to go into root mode to bypass the password (if that's even a real thing?). I'm completely new to Linux, but am fascinated at the capabilities and would like to mess around some more, but keep getting stopped by these passwords. What do I have to do? Uninstall and re-install? How does one do that if I don't even have access to the Windows 7 OS because it is password protected as well? Thanks in advance for any information and help.

  • Redirecting or routing all traffic to OpenVPN on a Mac OS X client

    I have configured an OpenVPN (2.2.1) server on an Ubuntu virtual machine in the Amazon elastic compute cloud. The server is up and running. I have installed OpenVPN (2.2.1) on a Mac OS X (10.8.2) client and I am using the openvpn2 binary to connect (in opposition to other clients like Tunnelblick or Viscosity). I can connect with the client and successfully ping or ssh the server through the tunnel. However, I can't redirect all internet traffic through the VPN even if I use the push "redirect-gateway def1 bypass-dhcp" option in the server.conf configurations. When I connect to the server with these configurations, I get a successful connection, but then an infinite series of error messages: "write UDPv4: No route to host (code=65)". Traffic routing seems to be compromised because I am not able to access anything anymore, not even the OpenVPN server (by pinging 10.8.0.1 for instance). This is beyond me. I am finding little help on the web and don't know what to try next. I don't think it is a problem of forwarding the traffic on the server since, first, I have also took care of that and, second, I can't even ping the VPN server locally through the tunnel (or ping anything at all for that matter). An example of a Google Chart image over https would be this: https://www.google.com/chart?cht=lc&chs=200x125&chd=s:helloWorld The problem is that while you can load an image like this by directly clicking the link, you can't include it as an image in your page. It just won't load. Any idea on how to bypass this? Or solution generally using PHP?

I know you can make a tel:// call but the issue is that it brings up the dial / cancel prompt and after that it prevents any future DTMF from being sent.

  • Git - ssh key / ip address

    When I set up Git, I did it while using a dsl modem, and my ip isn't static, so when I generated the ssh keys for Git, it was based on that ip. When I'm assigned an ip other than the one used to generate the ssh Git keys, I can manually change the ip address to the one used to generate the keys. What are my other options to bypass this step? Dynamic DNS? Is there another way?

    Windows 7, C++, VS2008 I have a COM DLL that needs to be registered using "runas administrator" (it is a legacy app that writes to the registry) The DLL is used by a reports app which instantiates it using CoCreateInstance. This failed unless I also ran the reports app as administrator; until I changed the linker setting from /MANIFESTUAC to /MANIFESTUAC:NO Can anyone tell me why this works? Does it mean that I can write apps that bypass the UAC using this setting?
