    I'm developing a twitter messaging utility using Twitter API (twitterizer). But since I'm within a corporate proxy, I'm getting the error '407 Proxy Authentication Required'. Is there any way to authenticate the user before calling the API or use the default proxy settings? P.S Internally the API is using HttpWebRequest.

  • ASP.NET site sometimes freezing up and/or showing odd text at top of the page while loading, on load

    I have various servers (dev, 2 x test, 2 x prod) running the same asp.net site. The test and prod servers are in load-balanced pairs (prod1 with prod2, and test1 with test2). The test server pair is exhibiting some kind of (super) slowdown or freezing during about one in ten page loads. Sometimes a line of text appears at the very top of the page which looks something like: 00 OK Date: Thu, 01 Apr 2010 01:50:09 GMT Server: Microsoft-IIS/6.0 X-Powered_By: ASP.NET X-AspNet-Version:2.0.50727 Cache-Control:private Content-Type:text/html; charset=ut (the beginning and end are "cut off".) Has anyone seen anything like this before? Any idea what it means or what's causing it? The ASP.NET tab disappeared from our IIS web site properties and we had to mess around for an hour uninstalling (aspnet_regiis.exe -u) and reinstalling 32 bit ASP.NET and adding Default.aspx manually back into default documents. We'll probably try again in a few days, if anyone has anything to add in the meantime, please do.

  • Drupal timezone information

    In my drupal installation I can get the offset from UTC in seconds to the timezone I specified in the admin panel using variable_get('date_default_timezone', 0) However, now that we have daylight-saving-time, the time I get is always off by one hour. Is there a way to retrieve the actual timezone string from Drupal, as "Europe/Berlin" for example? The reason is, that I have to use this with Zend Framework's Zend_Date, but Drupal does not set the PHP default timezone, as echo date_default_timezone_get(); gives me System/Localtime.

  • Latex letter: Address right aligned

    Hi, I am using Latex letter class, and would like the address to be right justified. The default is for it to be in a right aligned block, justified to the left. I am happy to change the letter.cls file, but haven't been able to figure out the right way to do it. I have tried using sclttr2 instead but there are too many variables for me. Thanks!

    Aside from faster development time (Visual Studio 2010 beta 2 has no T4 templates for building POCO entity objects that I'm aware of), are there any advantages to using the traditional EntityObject entities that Entity Framework creates, by default? If Microsoft delivers a T4 template for building POCO objects, I'm trying to figure out why anybody would want to use the traditional method.

  • Help me stabilize this jRun configuration (CF9/Win2k3/IIS6)

    Not sure if this would be better suited for ServerFault, but since I am not an admin but a developer I figured I would try SO. We've been struggling to keep our multi-server configuration stable for quite some time now. At the end of last month we were running under CF 7.0.2 on a two servers setup (one instance each). At that point we managed to get our uptime to around 1 week per instance before they would restart by themselves. Since the beginning of the month we upgraded to CF 9 and we're back to square one with multi-restart a day. Our current configuration is 2 Win2k3 servers, running a cluster of 4 instances, 2 instances per server. At this point we are pretty certain this is due to improper JVM settings. We've been toying with them and while some are more stable than others we never quite got it right. From the default: java.args=-server -Xmx512m -Dsun.io.useCanonCaches=false -XX:MaxPermSize=192m -XX:+UseParallelGC -Dcoldfusion.rootDir={application.home}/ To currently: java.args=-server -Xmx896m -Dsun.io.useCanonCaches=false -XX:MaxPermSize=512m -XX:SurvivorRatio=8 -XX:TargetSurvivorRatio=90 -XX:+UseParallelGC -Dcoldfusion.rootDir={application.home}/ -verbose:gc -Xloggc:c:/Jrun4/logs/gc/gcInstance1b.log We have determined that we do need more than the default 512MB simply by monitoring with FusionReactor, on average our amount of memory consumed is hovering in the mid 300MB and can go up to low 700MB under heavy load. Most of the crash will be logged in jrun4/bin/hs_err_pid*.log always an "Out of swap space" I've attached links to the hs_err and garbage collector log file from yesterday at the bottom of the post. The relevant part is (I think) this: Heap PSYoungGen total 89856K, used 19025K [0x55490000, 0x5b6f0000, 0x5b810000) eden space 79232K, 16% used [0x55490000,0x561a64c0,0x5a1f0000) from space 10624K, 52% used [0x5ac90000,0x5b20e2f8,0x5b6f0000) to space 10752K, 0% used [0x5a1f0000,0x5a1f0000,0x5ac70000) PSOldGen total 460416K, used 308422K [0x23810000, 0x3f9b0000, 0x55490000) object space 460416K, 66% used [0x23810000,0x36541bb8,0x3f9b0000) PSPermGen total 107520K, used 106079K [0x03810000, 0x0a110000, 0x23810000) object space 107520K, 98% used [0x03810000,0x09fa7e40,0x0a110000) From it, I gather that its the PSPermGen that is full (most logs will show the same before a crash), which is why we increased MaxPermSize but the total still show as 107520K!??! No one here is a jRun expert, so any help or even ideas on what to try next would be greatly appreciated!!   • .NET Impersonate not working!

    I have a webpage that allows a user to upload a file to a network share. When I run the webpage locally (within VS 2008) and try to upload the file, it works! However, when I deploy the website to the webserver and try to upload the file through the webpage, it doesn't work! The error being returned to me on the webserver says "Access to the path '\05prd1\emp\test.txt' is denied. So, obviously, this is a permissions issue. The network share is configured to allow full access both to me (NT authentication) and to the NETWORK SERVICE (which is .NET's default account and what we have set in our IIS application pool as the default user for this website). I have tried this with and without authentication, and neither one works on the webserver, yet both ways works on my local machine. The code that does the file upload is below.     Like the title says i want to be able to display the tooltip close to the text, currently it is displayed far away in the cell. Tobe noted the tooltip positions correctly for large text, only fails for small text. In DOJO How can i position the tooltip close to the text? I have this bit of code snippet that display the tooltip in the grid cells.   • Datatable binding to a form is not working

    Hi All i am having a form which are having 4 lables and these lables value are displayed in the 4 textboxs, i am using MVVM and binding these textboxs with the Datatble which is coming through the typed dataset not the problem here is when i add a new row in the datatable with default values of columns and update ui by calling onpropertychanged event from my viewmodel , these values are not getting reflected on the form. Before adding a new row in the table , i am removing all previous rows and then add. TIA. Saurabh

So... I want to define category order and in search results will be sorted for this order and in category order will be date DESC. Only posts (no categories) will be visible. Anybody have any idea?

  • Did anyone create the Java Code Formatter Profile for Eclipse IDE that conforms to the Android Code

    Android Code Style Guide defines "Android Code Style Rules". To conform to these rules one have to change quite a number of settings of the Java Code Formatter (Window-Preferences-Java-Formatter) default profile (in Eclipse IDE). Did anyone managed to configure the formatter to follow the "Android Code Style Rules" already? If yes, please export the Formatter profile and publish to be used by community. PS: I've tried to do this myself but I've found that there are too many formatter options available, and most of them are not mentioned in the Code Style Guide :-(

    With the jQuery datepicker, how does one change the year range that is displayed? On the jQuery UI site it says the default is "10 years before and after the current year are shown". I want to use this for a birthday selection and 10 years before today is no good.   • Why is Gmail not showing my text/html alternative?

    I'm creating an outgoing e-mail message (TIdMessage) with add two TIdText objects, one with ContentType:='text/plain' and one ContentType:='text/html', and also a TIdAttachment object. This seems to work for Outlook, which shows the HTML content, but for some odd reason, GMail keeps showing me the text/plain version by default. I've tried adding the text/html version first, I've tried adding '; charset=iso-8859-1' to the content type string, but I can't seem to find what else is different with other e-mails that GMail is showing the HTML from rightaway.

Is there a way to tell XStream to use Java's default serialization if the object does implement Serializable and to fall back on XML serialization if it does not?
