• How to integrate camera image into physics engine?

  I recently came across this and would like to implement something similar. The basic approach is clear: I have to threshold the image and check if a virtual object collides with the remaining foreground. Instead of implementing the physics myself, I'd like use an engine like Box2D. But how do I integrate the thresholded image into the physics engine so it is possible to interact with virtual objects?

• Rails 3 and encrypted cookies with IE9

  I am using encrypted cookies to pass data to my rails app. Once these cookies get set, they are being passed just fine to Chrome, Firefox, Safari (iOS and OSX version), etc. However, the cookie isn't being passed back on Win7/IE9. I'm using Ruby 1.9 and Rails 3, and using the cookies.permanent.encrypted method of setting the cookie. E.g: cookies.permanent.encrypted[:some_data] = object.some_data Any ideas about what's going on?

I'm making a game in which several characters have relationships with each other and they need to be able to interact with each other and store some relationship data regarding how they feel about each other. I have an object for each character. Is it bad for each of those character objects to have an array of all the other character objects in order to perform these interactions? Is there a better way to do this?

I have an application which uses Hibernate Search so I can use index() in FullTextEntityManager instance to index an object. The problem I have is writing a foreach to correctly display the following array array(1) { [0]= object(SimpleXMLElement)#21 (2) { ["file"]= string(12) "value 1" ["folder"]= string(8) "value 2" } } Ideally i would like to get the value by using $row['file'] or $row['folder'].
