    - by Anurag
    hello, I've a table in which addition rows can be generatred as per the user need by clicking a javascript function. Each row has a drop down list, and based on the values of this an AJAX script fetchs some values which has to be displayed in corresponding textfields of the same row.. here is the code for HTML.. <td><div align="center"> <label> <select name="gcno1" id="gcno1" onchange="fetch_gc(this)"> <option value="0">NIL</option> <option value="2">1</option> <?php while($row=mysql_fetch_array($result)) { ?> <option value="<?php echo $row[0]; ?>"><?php echo $row[0]; ?></option> <?php }?> </select> </label> </div></td> <td><div align="center"><input name="date1" id="date1" type="text" size="10" /> </div></td> and here is the AJAX which I'm writing... xmlhttp = new XMLHttpRequest(); var value=encodeURIComponent(document.getElementById('gcno1').value); var parameters="param1="+value; xmlhttp.open("POST", 'fetch_gc.php', true); xmlhttp.setRequestHeader("Content-type", "application/x-www-form-urlencoded"); xmlhttp.send(parameters); xmlhttp.onreadystatechange=function(){ if(xmlhttp.readyState == 4 && xmlhttp.status == 200) { var detail=xmlhttp.responseText.split('+'); alert(detail[0]); document.getElementsByName('date1').value=String(detail[0]); alert("life " + document.getElementById('gcno1').value); } } The alert inside the AJAX shows the correct response text, detail[0] but is unable to put the value in corresponding textbox i.e. with name 'gcno1'......   • Python beautiful soup arguments

    - by scott
    Hi I have this code that fetches some text from a page using BeautifulSoup soup= BeautifulSoup(html) body = soup.find('div' , {'id':'body'}) print body I would like to make this as a reusable function that takes in some htmltext and the tags to match it like the following def parse(html, atrs): soup= BeautifulSoup(html) body = soup.find(atrs) return body But if i make a call like this parse(htmlpage, ('div' , {'id':'body'}")) or like parse(htmlpage, ['div' , {'id':'body'}"]) I get only the div element, the body attribute seems to get ignored. Is there a way to fix this?

  • Providing updating suggestions list with javascript, php and ajax

    - by user1104854
    I'm trying to modify this example on making a live updating list to integrate it with my API. So, instead of using GET on the page with the form, I'd like to send it to that page via a function call. So, here's my form // message.php //function to display the hint sent from gethint.php function message_hint($hint){ echo $hint; } //displays the form for sending messages function send_message_form($to_user,$title,$message){ include 'gethint.php'; ?> <table> <form name = "send_message" method="post"> <td>Send A Message</td> <tr><td>To:</td><td><input type = "text" size="50" name="to_user" id = "to_user" value ="<? echo $to_user; ?>" onkeyup="showHint(this.value)"></td></tr> <tr><td>Title:</td><td><input type = "text" size="50" name="message_title"></td></tr> <tr><td>Message:</td><td><textarea rows="4" cols="50" name="message_details"></textarea></td></tr> <tr><td><input type="submit" name="submit_message"></td></tr> </table> </form> <? } Here's the head of message.php <head> <script> function showHint(str){ var to_user = document.getElementById("to_user").value //to_user is the id of the textbox if (str.length==0){ to_user.innerHTML=""; return; } if (window.XMLHttpRequest){// code for IE7+, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Safari xmlhttp=new XMLHttpRequest(); }else{// code for IE6, IE5 xmlhttp=new ActiveXObject("Microsoft.XMLHTTP"); } xmlhttp.onreadystatechange=function(){ if (xmlhttp.readyState==4 && xmlhttp.status==200){ alert(to_user) //properly displays the name via alert box to_user.innerHTML=xmlhttp.responseText; } } xmlhttp.open("GET","gethint.php?q="+to_user,true); xmlhttp.send(); } </script> </head> The page gethint.php is exactly the same, aside from this at the bottom. //echo $response //this was the original output $message = new messages; $message->message_hint($response);

  • how to create box with sliding linked images

    - by paracaudex
    Where can I read more about creating linked slides like at the top of nytimes.com, slate.com, yahoo.com, nyu.edu, etc. I assume it's javascript, but I'm not sure what it's called, so I'm not sure how to look it up. I want to create a box at the top of a website with blocks of html text which slide in sequence if the user clicks next or after a certain amount of time. Where can I read more about this?

  • Why .NET does not allow cross-thread operations?

    - by RHaguiuda
    This question is not about what is a cross-thread operation, and how to avoid it, but why internal mechanics of .NET framework does not allow a cross-thread operation. I can`t understand why a SerialPort DataReceived event cannot update a simple text box on my form and why using delegates this is possible?

  • CRM2011 - "The given key was not present in the dictionary"

    - by DJZorrow
    I am what you call a "n00b" in CRM plugin development. I am trying to write a plugin for Microsoft's Dynamics CRM 2011 that will create a new activity entity when you create a new contact. I want this activity entity to be associated with the contact entity. This is my current code: using System; using System.Collections.Generic; using System.Linq; using System.Text; using Microsoft.Xrm.Sdk; namespace ITPH_CRM_Deactivate_Account_SSP_Disable { public class SSPDisable_Plugin: IPlugin { public void Execute(IServiceProvider serviceProvider) { // Obtain the execution context from the service provider. IPluginExecutionContext context = (IPluginExecutionContext) serviceProvider.GetService(typeof(IPluginExecutionContext)); IOrganizationServiceFactory serviceFactory = (IOrganizationServiceFactory)serviceProvider.GetService(typeof(IOrganizationServiceFactory)); IOrganizationService service = serviceFactory.CreateOrganizationService(context.UserId); if (context.InputParameters.Contains("Target") && context.InputParameters["target"] is Entity) { Entity entity = context.InputParameters["Target"] as Entity; if (entity.LogicalName != "account") { return; } Entity followup = new Entity(); followup.LogicalName = "activitypointer"; followup.Attributes = new AttributeCollection(); followup.Attributes.Add("subject", "Created via Plugin."); followup.Attributes.Add("description", "This is generated by the magic of C# ..."); followup.Attributes.Add("scheduledstart", DateTime.Now.AddDays(3)); followup.Attributes.Add("actualend", DateTime.Now.AddDays(5)); if (context.OutputParameters.Contains("id")) { Guid regardingobjectid = new Guid(context.OutputParameters["id"].ToString()); string regardingobjectidType = "account"; followup["regardingobjectid"] = new EntityReference(regardingobjectidType, regardingobjectid); } service.Create(followup); } } } But when i try to run this code: I get an error when i try to create a new contact in the CRM environment. The error is: "The given key was not present in the dictionary" (Link *1). The error pops up right as i try to save the new contact. Link *1: http://puu.sh/4SXrW.png (Translated bold text: "Error on business process") Thanks for any help or suggestions :)

  • jQuery sortColumns plugin: How to sort correctly with rowspan

    - by Thang Pham
    Following this post jQuery table sort (github link: https://github.com/padolsey/jQuery-Plugins/blob/master/sortElements/jquery.sortElements.js), I am successfully sort columns, however it does not work in the case of rowspan: For example, case like this Grape 3,096,671M 1,642,721M Apple 2,602,750M 3,122,020M When I click on the second column, it try to sort Apple 2,602,750M 1,642,721M Grape 3,096,671M 3,122,020M which as you can see is not correct, please any jQuery guru help me fix this problem. Here is my code var inverse = false; function sortColumn(index){ index = index + 1; var table = jQuery('#resultsTable'); table.find('td').filter(function(){ return jQuery(this).index() == index; }).sortElements(function(a, b){ a = convertToNum($(a).text()); b = convertToNum($(b).text()); return ( isNaN(a) || isNaN(b) ? a > b : +a > +b ) ? inverse ? -1 : 1 : inverse ? 1 : -1; },function(){ return this.parentNode; }); inverse = !inverse; } function convertToNum(str){ if(isNaN(str)){ var holder = ""; for(i=0; i<str.length; i++){ if(!isNaN(str.charAt(i))){ holder += str.charAt(i); } } return holder; }else{ return str; } } Question: 1.How do I sort this with rowspan. THE NUMBER OF ROWSPAN IS NOT ALWAYS THE SAME. The above example both Grape and Apple have rowspan of 2, but this is not always the case. 2.Can any explain this syntax: return ( isNaN(a) || isNaN(b) ? a > b : +a > +b ) ? inverse ? -1 : 1 : inverse ? 1 : -1; So I can see that if either a or b is not a number, then do string comparison otherwise do number comparison, but I dont understand the inverse ? -1 : 1 : inverse ? 1 : -1;

    Using either XNA OR just the usual c# win forms application, which would be the best way to create the feature that enables text messages to be sent from me to my friend over the internet? I don't know if this matters or not, but I now have 3 Mobile Broadband internet... so it's like... Wireless internet, does that matter?

  • Using Hadoop, are my reducers guaranteed to get all the records with the same key?

    - by samg
    I'm running a hadoop job (using hive actually) which is supposed to uniq lines in a lot of text file. More specifically it chooses the most recently timestamped record for each key in the reduce step. Does hadoop guarantee that every record with the same key, output by the map step, will go to a single reducer, even if there are many reducers running across a cluster? I'm worried that the mapper output might be split after the shuffle happens, in the middle of a set of records with the same key.

  • Workaround for JFormattedTextField delete bug in Java for Mac OS X 10.6 Update 2 (1.6.0_20)

    - by Johan Kaving
    There is apparently a bug introduced in the latest Java update for Mac OS X, which causes deletes in JFormattedTextFields to be performed twice. See http://lists.apple.com/archives/java-dev/2010/May/msg00092.html The DefaultEditorKit.deletePrevCharAction is invoked twice when the delete key is pressed. Are there any suggestions for a workaround? I'm thinking of replacing the delete action for my text fields with a patched version that somehow filters out these duplicate invocations.
