  • Take a string to a byte[]

    I have a string in my database that represents an image. It looks like this: 0x89504E470D0A1A0A0000000D49484452000000F00000014008020000000D8A66040.... <truncated for brevity> When I load it in from the database it comes in as a byte[]. How can I convert the string value to a byte array myself. (I am trying to remove the db for some testing code.)

  • Does GCC have a built-in compile time assert?

    Our existing compile-time assert implementation is based on negative array index, and it provides poor diagnostic output on GCC. C++0x's static_assert is a very nice feature, and the diagnostic output it provides is much better. I know GCC has already implemented some C++0x features. Does anyone know if static_assert is among them and if it is then since what GCC version?

The page must be refreshed to the server side can reconstruct the page based on the values of the cookies. Output the correct data on the page. However I do not want the user to lose the value they type on the input box unless they erase it. what can i do?

  • jQuery.post not working when using data type json

    I have been trying to utilize json in this jQuery.post because I need to return two values from my executed php. The code was working when I was not implementing json. I need to see if a promo code entered is valid for a particular broker. The two variables I need back are the instant message whether or not it's valid (this is displayed to the user) and I need to update a hidden field that will be used later while updating the database. The jQuery.post does not seem to be firing at all, but the code directly above it (the ajax-loader.gif) is working. I did re-write the whole thing at one point using jQuery.ajax, and had issues there too. Granted, I have probably been looking at this too long and have tried to re-write too many times, but any help is greatly appreciated!! It's not an option to create Form page and Submit button because I'm trying to create a plugin for Group buying plugin in Wordpress. It is also not an option to use GET, because the "destination" POST page will not allow data in the URL. Please help me !
