• Rich Text Editing in Windows Forms

  I am using following text editor for my windows forms application http://www.codeproject.com/KB/edit/editor_in_windows_forms.aspx This works great and a wonderful control, however I am trying to accomplish one task i.e. I wanted to insert a custom tag to the underlying html for eg if user clicks on a button on form I want to insert a tag <myTag>value</myTag>" at the cursor's position of text editor. Can anyone guide me how to achieve this?

  I like to view the current differences in the source files I'm working on with a command like: vim <(svn diff -dub) What I'd really like to be able to do is to email that colorized diff. I know vim can export HTML with the :TOhtml, but how do I pipeline this output into an html email? Ideally. i'd like to be able to send an html diff with a single shell script command.

• Allow users to insert a TAB into a TextBox but not newlines

  I want to have a TextBox which does accept the TAB key (and places a TAB, ASCII 0x09, \t accordingly into the textbox) instead of jumping to the next control. The TextBox has a property AcceptsTab, which I have set to true but this does not give the desired result. It turns out the AcceptsTab property only works then Multiline is set to true as well. However I want to have a one-line TextBox which doesn't accept newlines.

• jqGrid problem, expecting jQuery.jgrid but $.jgrid exists instead

  I'm using jqGrid for a JIRA plugin and have included the jquery and jqgrid libraries as web resources. I've set up a column in jqGrid as required and when I try to submit the form with the respective column empty I get an error in firebug: jQuery.jgrid is undefined jQuery.jgrid is null but $.jgrid has the correct data. Does anyone know how I can set up jqgrid so that it points to the $.jgrid without having to change all the source code? or any other way round this? Thanks

The library uses sockets to connect to a server but if the client using the library is behind a proxy server it can't connect. So in other words instead of calling html extension method for actionlink I would call a html extension method for rendering partial view, and my partialview (user control) would execute the Html.ActionLink(...) method?

  i am creating a usercontrol which provides all of the common validations for a range of textbox styles: alpha, number, decimal, SSN, etc. so, when a developer using this control selects the alpha style, they can also select another property which defines a string of special characters that could also be allowed during validation. but when the decimal style, for instance, is selected, i'd like to simply disable the special characters property so it is not settable when a style is selected that doesn't allow special characters. how can i achieve this goal? thanks

  I configure the DomainDataSource to execute a particular server side method by setting the Query property. If I then make changes to the retrieved data, and call SubmitChanges the control somehow knows the correct method to call. (UpdateEmployee for example) Where is the name of the update method set, or it is simply inferred by some sort of naming convention?
