    When you have a slow database app, the first suggestions that people make is to: Track the slow queries Add appropriate indexes In the case you are building your own application this is very logical, but when you use a CMS like Drupal, that are people have developed and tuned, is this approach valid? I mean, aren't Drupal tables already fine-tuned for performance? Even if I try to see which queries are the slow ones, what could I do about it? Re-write Drupal core?!?

  • jQuery load default content into div

    Hi, ive searched around but couldnt really find anything to help. Any ideas on how i could do this? At the minute all i see is my loading animation.. I use jQuery with the History plugin.

    I have an odd bug, this jQuery code executes correctly when calling the page via HTTP, but once I connect to the page via HTTPS it doesn't execute.   • How do I use jquery to both download & delete files dynamically from servlet

    Is it possible to a jquery $.get() to call a servlet and use it to both download a file or update the page without reloading the page? (Or more basically, can I download a file without reloading the page?) For example, I am using a servlet that either returns a file to download of mimetype "application/octet-stream", or returns text to be update in the page of type "text/html". SELECT tl.*, (tl.topic_total_rating/tl.topic_rates) as topic_rating, COUNT(pl.post_id) - 1 as reply_count, MIN(pl.post_time) AS topic_time, MAX(pl.post_time) AS topic_bump FROM topic_list tl JOIN post_list pl ON tl.topic_id=pl.post_parent WHERE tl.topic_board_link = %i AND topic_hidden != 1 ORDER BY %s I have two tables (post_list and topic_list), and post_list's post_parent links to a topic_list's topic_id. Instead of returning all the topics (where their board's topic_board_link is n), it only returns one topic.

The 3rd should take up the rest of the page. Eventually, I'm going to add options to hide and show the 2 columns on the left. But, why is the color purple extending all the way to the browser's left edge? I am trying to get it to start at the word "Three".

But some other users have only currently datareader and datawriter rights ,and when they execute any SP referring the logic which uses the key and certificate "User does has not right on the certificate to execute".     I have a large data file that is creatd from a shell script. Next script processes it by sorting and reading several times, that takes more than 14 hours, it is not viable. I want to replace this long running script with a program, probably in JAVA, C, or COBOl, that can run on windows or on sun solaris. I have to read a group of records everytime, sort and process and write to the output sort file and at the same time insert into db2/sql tables.
