  • Cannot run "Automation Anywhere" exe files from console (session 0) on Windows Server 2003 64 bit

    I have a simple exe created from an Automation Anywhere task that displays a message box saying hello world. I created this simple exe just for debugging the following issue. When I log in to the console (session 0), and run the Automation Anywhere created executable, it starts to run the task, it shows up in the applications and processes list in the task manager and it shows the two "loading..." windows briefly on the screen, just like normal. But after that, nothing happens... the "hello world" message does not show up. The exe is done and is removed from the application and process list in the task manager. The user I am logged in as, has admin rights and the machine uses "autologin" to automatically log in using this profile when it starts up. If I right click on the exe and "run as" another admin user, the exe runs properly, showing the "hello world" message. Also, if I log into the server in a new session, with the original user (the one that has the problems in session 0), and then run the exe, it runs properly and shows the "hello world". It works fine in any session other than the console session. There is something about the console session that is causing the exe not to run properly... even though it does appear to start running the exe. I should also mention that everything was working fine until Monday at midnight, after which none of the executables could be run successfully. Nothing was changed on the server and no updates were installed. I have since installed windows updates, but that didn't change anything. Looking for some advice on how to get these executables working in the console session again. Thanks!

  • .htaccess Permission denied. Unable to check htaccess file

    Hi, I have a strange problem when adding a sub-domain to our virtual server. I have done similar sub-domains before and they have worked fine. When I try to access the sub-domain I get an 403 Forbidden error. I checked the error logs and have the following error: pcfg_openfile: unable to check htaccess file, ensure it is readable I've searched Google and could only find solutions regarding file and folder permissions, that I have checked and the solution isn't solved. I also saw problems with Frontpage Extensions, but that's not installed on the server. Edit Forgot to say that there isn't a .htaccess file in the directory of the sub-domain

  • Can we configure windows 2008 DHCP server to not ignore the broadcast falg of DHCP requests?

    We have a Cisco WAP4410N access point that does not relay broadcast packets from the wired network to the wireless clients when the network is secured by WPA2. This cause problem with Windows server's DHCP server that respond to DHCP request by broadcasting it's OFFER instead of Unicasting it like it's asked by Windows (and Android and iOS) clients. When we had a Windows 2003 server we configured the server not to ignore the broadcast flag (following these instructions) and it solved the problem. Now we upgraded our servers to Windows 2008 servers and the problem is back. Unfortunately, it seems Windows server 2008 ignore the IgnoreBroadcastFlag parameter. Is there any other way to make sure that Windows Server 2008 respond to DHCP requests using Unicast instead of broadcast? mp

    Howdy, I am looking to deploy LogMeIn to several clients. I am using LogMeIn Central with LogMeIn free. Central allows me to create an install URL to send to a client, but I want to create a GPO to deploy the LogMeIn to the entire domain of computers.     Hi All, I'm slowly locking down the network I've inherited and mac-flapping has been a problem in the past with customers doing all kinds of crazy things. Dec 30 18:48:18 10.50.1.50 1567: 001569: .Dec 30 18:48:17: %SPANTREE-2-RECV_BAD_TLV: Received SSTP BPDU with bad TLV on GigabitEthernet0/5 VLAN1. unfortunately, that mac address is the mac of our core router, the only link to the internet, on port gi0/48 On the other end of gi0/5, I have about 50 bridged customer machines connected through a series of managed and unmanaged L2 switches. Yes, on VLAN1 too ... like I said, working on changing this slowly. In the mean time, it has me quite baffled on how to deal with this and track down the customer or switch that is the problem.     I have a Server Running Windows Server 2008 Enterprise Edition With SQL 2005. There is no problems with the server in its day to day functions but i am getting a Warning in the Event Log every 5 minutes with the following: Windows System Resource Manager encountered the following error 0x80010117. User Name will not be logged in the subsequent event logs. Error 0x80010117 User Action Address the error condition, and then try again. This has been happening for over 2 weeks now and i cannot find anything online to help! If i could have some help, then it would much appreciated. Thanks

  • Terminal Services printing

    Hi We are using a hosted terminal server to run some applications on. We have three users who connect to the server through RDP and try to print to a networked printer called: HP Photosmart C7280. One of the users is using Windows XP Pro 32-bit on the host and when they print through the terminal server it works fine. Another one of the users is using Vista 32-bit on the host and when they print through the terminal server it works fine. The third user is using Windows 7 64-bit on the host and when they print through the terminal server it only print the first line of the page (A test page print 3/4s of the test page compared to printing all of the page when using the other 2 machines). We are only printing from Word 2007 and Excel 2007 on all machines. The server is Windows 2003. No errors in the event log. Any ideas?

Allow the physical topology (which ports are connected together) to be gleaned from the switches, e.g., using SNMP traps. This is optional, but would be very useful. At least 5 ports on each switch, but only 3 will be used for connecting the switches together. Be as compact as possible. Ideally be in stock, in the UK. Only 100Mb/s is required. (This question is the result of the lack of RSTP support from 3Com NJ225 devices, as described in my previous question.)

  • OpenSolaris / Nexenta problems with NetXen 4-port NIC card (ntxn driver)

    Hello, I'm running NexentaStor Enterprise on an HP ProLiant DL180 G6 server. The onboard NIC interfaces surface as igb0 and igb1 and work well. However, I've added an HP NC375T 4-port network card using the NetXen 3031 chipset. This card should be handled by the ntxn driver in the SUNWntxn package, but that results in "ntxn0: failed to map doorbell" messages upon boot. The network interfaces don't show up. After some research, I found HP's driver package for the card. The release notes for the driver package state: This version of the Driver is supported only on Oracle Solaris 10 5/09 & 10/09. Oracle Solaris 10 5/09 & 10/09 contain an older version of NetXen P3 driver package called SUNWntxn. So, adding another version of NetXen P3 driver package using pkgadd command might result in conflicts with the NetXen driver binary & related files. Users are advised to uninstall native SUNWntxn driver package before installing the new package.     I have been having problem installing php-fpm for use with apache2-mpm-worker. This is the guide that I am following. According to the guide's Step 5, Alias /php5-fcgi /usr/lib/cgi-bin/php5-fcgi FastCgiExternalServer /usr/lib/cgi-bin/php5-fcgi -host 127.0.0.1:9000 -pass-header Authorization However I cannot find php5-fcgi at /usr/lib, but only /usr/bin/php5-cgi and /usr/bin/php-cgi, which I am not sure if they are the same.   • WDS 2008 R2 DHCP Error

    Im having a problem where I get the error 'An error occurred while obtaining an IP address from the DHCP server. Please check to ensure that there is an operational DHCP server on this network segment' when booting from a standard WDS boot.wim image taken from a Windows 7 DVD. I am using Server 2008 R2 and am adding the drivers to the boot using WDS, but also have the problem if the drivers are injected beforehand using DISM. When the error occurs I can shift + F10 and IPCONFIG and see it HAS picked up an internal IP from DHCP. Seems maybe it is timing out before it gets the IP? DHCP server is not on the WDS box but is in the same subnet. As per some fixes I have read I enabled RSTP on my switches but that didnt help. I have included the end of setupact.log to see if any of you have any ideas. Seems to be failing but as I say, the network IS initialized as I can see the internal IP assigned by DHCP when running IPCONFIG. I dont suppose theres any way of increasing the timeout?   • Install MegaCli to Monitor Perc 5/i in Nexentastor 3

    I have a Dell 2950 with a Perc 5/i Raid controller that we've already installed Nexentastor 3 Community Edition on. We setup a raid-10 array that and put a ZFS pool on top of the hardware. As I understand, in this configuration ZFS/Nexentastor will not be able to tell when a disk fails in the array. Obviously, this is not optimal. Since the Dell Perc 5/i controller is a rebranded LSI controller, you should be able to use the MegaCli utility to manage the array and monitor its condition. I had seen in a separate forum that the Perc 5/i is very similar to the LSI MegaRAID 8480E, so I tried installing the MegaCli utility at the link below.   • MMC and Server Manager Authentication Errors - Access Denied

    I'm trying to connect remotely from my Windows 8 client to manage my Hyper-V Server 2012. I have done everything I can find to configure remote management of the server including: Added a net user on server Enabled anonymous dcom access on server and client Added firewall rules for "Windows Firewall Remote Management" and "Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI)" on server Added firewall exception on server for client IP Added cmdkey on client Added server to TrustedHost list on client Added LocalAccountTokenFilter policy registry entry on server Added client IP to server's host file Added server IP to client's host file I cannot believe I am still getting these errors. What's even more strange is that I can connect in Hyper-V Manager and create VM's but not in MMC and Server Manager. I also get Access Denied trying to Open the Authorization Store on my server from my client using Authorization Manager. I'm providing all the errors because I have a feeling they root from the same problem. Does anybody see anything I missed?

    I recently rebuilt my machine to Windows 7 x64, installed Sql Server 2008 enterprise. I can connect fine to other remote instances via Management Studio (be they 2000, 2005 or 2008), but i cannot find my local default instance. I have verified that a directory was created for the default instance C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL10.MSSQLSERVER I can connect to SQLEXPRESS instance fine I have rerun setup to ensure I have everything installed I have verified that the SQLSERVER(MSSQLSERVER) service is running I have tried brownsing for the instance and see all the others available except my local one I have tried using this for servername: TSOUTHERLANDPC\MSSQLSERVER, the first part being my local machine name My issue is not the same as this post or this post. Any ideas?

  • Lighttpd 403 Errors on HTML and PHP pages

    I installed lighttpd on CentOS 5.5 64-bit. Everything seems fine and running except I cannot get past 403 errors on both HTML and PHP pages. I have used CHMOD and CHOWN, changed ownership in the config file, done everything possible and have been stuck for 2 days. Appreciate any help, and here's hoping to a stupid error on my part.     I am trying to get Zend Framework working with netbeans, but every time there is the error "php.exe"' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. I am using WAMP server 2.0 it is installed in e:\wamp My Zend framework is inside e:\wamp\www\ZendFramework-1.10.5 I have located the ZendFramework script as: E:\wamp\www\ZendFramework-1.10.5\bin\zf.bat I am also registered the module. What am i doing wrong? I am running on Windows 7 32 bit, using NETbean 6.9 RC1

    Hello Experts, We have an enterprise web app to which our clients post/upload lots of documents [mainly images and pdf files] via web interface, iphone app etc etc. We are also using imagick to split pdf documents into images. Also, large number of mysql SELECT/UPDATE/DELETE queries happen all day. Currently, all of this is happening on same server and we are planning to split the process in 3 stages : 1) a server only for database 2) a server only for documents (document upload, splitting etc) 3) a server for the main php web app Is there any drawback with this kind of structure as compared to hosting everything on same server ? I have look in the site settings but it doesnt allow you to choose your wsus server. Am I missing something simple? Thanks

    Yesterday I moved my machine from one domain to another - foolishly forgetting the implications for my local instance of SQL Server! Mixed Mode authentication is not enabled, and the only local account login has only "public" permissions. SQL Server 2005 Service Pack 2 had a tool called the User Provisioning Tool for Windows Vista (sqlprov.exe) which allowed you to add Domain Users to a local SQL 2005 instance (it doesn't work against SQL 2008 btw) - my question is.. is there a similar tool for SQL Server 2008 or am I going to have to do a reinstall? Also let me know if you think this belongs on StackOverflow

  • Mac OS X Server (10.5) mail trapped in queue

    We've got mail accumulating in our Leopard Server's queue and not sure exactly why. This machine has required little maintenance over the years so I'm hoping someone here spot the obvious and save us some time. Let me know what other information would be helfull. Server appears to be functioning normally except for "clogged" queue and the following error associated with each "trapped" message: Looking at messages in the queue each one states something like this: Message ID: 4213C3B8B3F Date: October 27, 2009 11:33:27 AM Size: 1824 Sender: [email protected] Recipient(s) & Status: ---------------------- [email protected]: connect to 127.0.0.1[127.0.0.1]: Connection refused Under SettingsRelay we have checked Accept SMTP relays only from these hosts and networks: 127.0.0.0/8 10.0.1.0/24 The mail in queue is addressed to users whose accounts are on this server. Mail.app on the client appears to be functioning normally and checking checking mail on the server. We did add a virtual domain some time ago but all that was working fine for some time... This just started happening recently...any ideas? Edit: toggling the filter services on and off seems to have fixed this except for 2 remaining queued messages that show "mail transport unavailable" as an error!?!

  • Apple Mail authentication failure to Apache James while Thunderbird connects

    I have an Apache James 2.3.2 email server running on RHEL 5. I have been connecting to it successfully for months using Thunderbird (currently version 12.0.1). I am attempting to connect to the same account using Apple's Mail 6.5. On the first dialog, to add an account to Apple's Mail, it asks for full name, email address, and password. It then asks for an incoming mail server. I put account type equal to POP, the incoming mail server equal to the host in my email address, and my username and password. It comes back with the error: "Logging in to the POP server "" failed. Make sure the user name and password you entered are correct, then click Continue. If the information isn't correct, you cannot receive messages." While the dialogs are different in Thunderbird, I believe that I am giving it exactly the same parameters, and succeeding with authentication.
